I work very close to the Niger bridge and Live in Asaba. Sometimes when the hold up is too much on the Niger bridge,motorists take an alternative route which is close to the construction site. The other end in Onitsha is a stone throw from my office.......so YES work is going on very fast on the second Niger bridge.

I am Married to a Lady from Mbano and i was given two lists on that faithful day. We were busy chatting and laughing over some plates of Akpu/Village soup,Palm wine/Ugba and finally Rice and stew. I must confess it was fun. When the people realize you are not from the tribe,the list seems very tough but even at that if you can go there with a good SPOKESPERSON that understands their tradition and you have won the hearts of your In-laws the whole process is just a Walk-over like mine. I am not from that tribe and the entire process did not tear my pocket. I see my In-laws as the Best and my Wife the most Wonderful thing that ever happened to me.

It is really unfortunate that while other states are struggling to improve their states,Eastern states are sleeping or busy developing other states.....what happened to our home?. Even if all the projects are Private projects (but commissioned by the Federal government) why cant some other private investors come and invest in the East?. Trust me the excessive taxation by the Government and Lousiness/Greed of the people will not allow investment to thrive in the East and that is why investors will rather go somewhere else where they are sure their investment is secured with little or no risk of destruction by some greedy fellow and over taxation by the government. Kudos to Anambra state for the level of industrialization,they can do better and other Eastern states should follow suit.......not just erecting statues and doing show-off,the Youth need employment,the State need fund,these can be achieved by industries but the Eastern states discourage investment.
