Former Min. of Agriculture and the current Pres. of the African Development Bank ADB, Akinwunmi Adeshina has made Nigeria and Africa proud with his latest achievement once again.

Akinwunmi Adeshina was in Seoul, South Korea capital on Saturday, where he won world food prize known as the Sunhak Peace Award.

The Former Min. of Agriculture is the second individual to win the award.

Akinwunmi Adeshina in the course of celebrating his latest achievement took to his Social Media page as he disclosed that it is a call to do more especially in Africa.

He went on to applaud Ambassador Kenneth Quinn, President of the World Food Prize Foundation, for joining him in the Asian country.

Akinwunmi Adeshina also sent good wishes to all World Food Prize Laureate

Seven things to put in place for effective security at home


One of the basic needs of man after food, clothing, and shelter is security.
This is because it is a medium through which man can protect himself from his fellow 'harmful' man and other predators.



Of all our various asset, our abode or place of residence requires maximum security because apart from the fact that it is our place of shelter, it also houses our families and valuable asset.

To improve the level of security in your home especially in a typical Nigerian setting, we will advise that you consider the following,

1. Fencing of your building: This is the first and main way to improve your home security.
You can make it hard for the unwanted guest to scale your fence by putting broken bottles at the top or fixing barb wire at the top (which must be connected to a power supply.)

2. Get a dog: when we say dog, we don't mean local dogs that are used to playing and messing around.

Not the typical dog Nigerians call 'Bingo' except you are ready to train it.
In terms of dog, we mean highly security conscious dogs.

3. Install a CCTV: most 'modern structures' owners in Nigeria now have a closed circuit television installed in their homes as it is more conducive and easy.
You don't have to worry about being far away from home as you can always replay every scene that took place in your absence.

4. Have a fire extinguisher: most homes in Nigeria don't have this equipment and it becomes difficult to control a little fire before it escalates beyond control.

5. Train yourself to be security conscious: be watchful of your environment and prying eyes.
Take precautions when necessary.

Others include installing an alarm system, get a whistle, be updated with security measures among others.

Chelsea FC won their FA Cup third round match against Nottingham Forest with two goals to nothing thanks to a brace from Alvaro Morata.

However, one thing was noticeable after the two goals, the Spain international didn't celebrate any of the goals as he looked devoid of emotions.

A report from Marca.com disclosed that Alvaro Morata may have done this because of Chelsea's assistant coach, Zola Gianfranco.

According to the report, Alvaro Morata wanted to vindicate himself after Gianfranco Zola questioned his behavior and performances, which is a harsh blow for the Spaniard given not only Zola's current role but also his standing in the club's history.

Therefore Morata may have reacted out of not feeling respected, and wanted to respond with a gesture showing how he feels, particularly given his lack of backing from the club.

Well, he has been linked with moves to Sevilla, Bayer Munich, and Borussia Dortmund.

For now, the final decision has not been made on Alvaro Morata's future but there is every likelihood he is leaving Chelsea at the end of the season.

Chelsea youngster, Callum Hudson-Odoi has turned out to be one of the cynosures in the ongoing January transfer window.

The German club, Bayern Munich have submitted two bids for the young winger with Chelsea rejecting the bids on the two counts.

Chelsea are reported to want a transfer fee not less that £40 million for Hudson-Odoi.

And another report has made it known that Bayern Munich are ready to submit another offer.

However, the German club will now face some difficulties to convince the young player to move to Munich.



This is because a new report made known by CalcioMercato has made it known that Italian Seria A giant, Juventus have also shown interest in Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The report disclosed that the Old Ladies are monitoring the situation before they consider a move.
However, the report stressed that Juventus will not be willing to meet up with the transfer fee fixed by Chelsea.

Chelsea, on the other hand, doesn’t want the youngster to leave permanently.

The reports from Stamford Bridge revealed that the Blues are doing everything possible to make Callum Hudson-Odoi sign a new deal after which they will sign him out on loan to another club.

1. Total Agreement: once you go through the Bible passage, you will understand that both Ananias and Sapphira had a total agreement as a couple.

The Bible confirms this in the book of Amos 3:3, it read, ‘Can two walk except they are in one accord?’

With this, we can say that agreement is very important between a husband and his wife.

2. Ananias did not hide anything from his wife: from the passage, we can conclude that Ananias had discussed with his wife on the idea of wanting to sell their property.

This is one thing some men of today lack, they prefer to take a decision that will affect the home without letting their wives know anything.

Most believe been the man of the house means taking a final decision on their own but no you are no longer ‘single’ you have a business partner you must carry on along in your family affairs and she is your wife.

Russian President, Vladimir Putin during his meeting with cultural leaders at St. Petersburg called for the control of Rap in the country.



Prior to this statement, rap singers have been arrested and ban from performing in their concert, notable is the arrest of Russian rapper, Husky, who was arrested last month.

Putin, however, stressed that if Rap cannot be ban then the Government must be able to ‘lead and direct it.’
