How The Name Osogbo Came into being ' In the times of fairies, witches and wizards, when magic flows within the human blood, - scratch that. I guess I sounded too mystical. Many know Osogbo as the capital of Osun state, South West, Nigeria. A little research on Google will make you know Osogbo is the most popular town in Osun and of course the most developed (state capital influence.) A handful will also know that when it comes to Electricity, Osogbo is one town in Nigeria that boast of stable power supply. However, aside from the town being Osun state seat of power, it carries a story that is proof that the Yoruba people believe in the presence of mystical beings. According to history, Osogbo has been in existence as early as Oduduwa period. Oral narration claimed that Osogbo was founded by Osun River goddess. Report revealed that Osogbo was coined out of two Yoruba words "Oso igbo" which in the English language means Wizard of the Forest. The reason for the name according to report claimed the earlier settlers surprisingly met a man at the River Osun river who they referred to as 'Wizard of the Forest' Oso igbo which led to the name Osogbo. Osogbo today has grown from that thick forest into a town and a state capital. It shares boundary with Ede, Ikirun, Ilesha, Egbedore, Ogbomosho and Iragbiji. Art, as it is known, is majorly attributed to talent, it, however, grows to become techniques after years of self-development and training. When it comes to the art of painting, many are well acquainted with drawings made on canvas, however only a handful are aware that paintings can be done without touching the canvas, the majority who are unaware about this kind of artistic technique will be surprised when they come across any. This is where Mark Rios also known as “Mr Dripping” comes in. Mr Dripping is a renown artist who developed the painting technique of Dripping. According to record, this technique was originally used by Jackson Pollock and it involves dropping lines of paint onto a canvas laid on the ground, creating floating, dancing, harmonious shapes. Mr Dripping in his statement revealed he was inspired by the idea of being able to paint without physically touching the canvas but decided to take Pollock’s method one step forward. What before was just lines of paint, dropped uncontrollably onto a canvas to create something that changed with perception, now was given realistic, human figure. With this, he began to have the ability to create personal pieces according to the tastes of each and every person. Below are some of his artistic work; https://adkets.com/2021/01/27/meet-mark-rios-mr-dripping-renown-artist-who-paints-without-physically-touching-the-canvas/ Cc lalasticlala mynd44

Nigerian social media influencer and blogger, Tunde Ednut returned to popular photo-sharing platform, Instagram three days ago and was on the verge of hitting a million followers in the space of the short period. However, on the 13th of January, the account was taken down by Instagram and a situation like this can be very painful especially for a blogger like Tunde Ednut. A look at the issue showed that he may have flouted one of Instagram rules which is as a result of the "Mass following and Massliking" from followers who were hoping to help him get back the numbers he previously had. The mass following must have triggered the bot to see it as a spam action. It is believed that new accounts have limitations way more than old accounts and Instagram looks at the activities going on each account to see if it is natural. According to reports, there are limits and restrictions to the activities on each accounts as reports showed that for new account, the limits are different: a maximum number of likes per hour: 30; a maximum number of comments per hour: 30; a maximum number of follows/unfollows per hour: 30. Considering the influence Tunde Ednut has been able to gather, the best solution for him is to go independent in terms of starting a website or a blog of his own, in this way there is no issue about the number of followers or the number of post he makes.
