Arysexy: who made ilorin an islamic city? u r a pathetic f00l! Its ur like and die hard towel heads that go about burning churches out of envy, first it was Living faith, now another church is burnt. U may burn and bomb physical structures but u can never burn down the church of christ. Ewu congo! Why do people like you on nairaland are so intolerant? A mere expression of opinion by a contributor, you call for his head. The guy condemned the issue at hand and expressed an opinion as it appears to him. You may agree or disagree. You do not need to call him names to express your disagreement. |
van bonattel: It will never sell, the xtians will see it as an insult, and as at the last time I checked, xtians are up to 50% of this country.I like this, please can you refer me to where you got this "fact"? |
elampiro: Why must we complain even when we are blessed or have succeeded? It took Westerhof 4 years to get Amuneke and Finidi to play the kind of football they played between 1993 and 1994. Westerhof came to Nigeria in 1989 and met the Eagles led by Henry Nwosu. We had Etim Esin and co. Westerhof could not get a much needed draw against Cameroun at away to top the group in the world cup qualifying match at away. Nigeria went out. Then the next year, he took his Eagles to Algiers '90 nation's cup, he finished second even though he had lost his first match 1-5 to Algeria. Between 1990 and 1993, he brought Uche Okechukwu, Ben Iroha, Finidi George, Amuneke, Mutiu Adepoju, Dan Amokachie, and some others. By 1993, the likes of Etim Esin, Andrew Uwe, Yisa Sofoluwe, Richard Owubokiri, etc, were no longer needed. Before nation cup '94 Sunday Oliseh was discovered, also is Mike Emenalo. Nigeria won the nations cup, then Chidi Nwanu was included in the defence for the world cup. Also just few days to the world cup, Nduka Ugbade was considered not good enough to make the 23 man team, I think Victor Ikpeba was included in the last minute.I beg to be corrected. Green Eagles(Super Eagles) were doing well when Westerhof joined Nigeria. He was just a Stubborn Coach who wanted to instill discipline into the team. No team could dear Nigeria in Africa not even Cameroon which they had beaten 2-0 in world cup 1990 first leg qualifier at Adamasingba Stadium, Ibadan. Before he joined Nigeria in 1989,we had almost qualified for the world cup needing just a draw in the last two away matches against Gabon and Cameroon. Nigeria could conveniently beat Gabon on their soil and with Cameroon it could go either way if he had paraded the real team which he dropped. In fact,he hated the likes of Peter Rufai,Chidi Nwanu, Humphrey Edobor, etc(he sent their mates to early retirement) with passion preferring the inexperience players. He had gambled with Eagles for 4 years only for him to call back Rufai, Chidi Nwanu and Agbonivbare and Eguaven when it was obvious that he might fail to deliver when mattered most especially against big teams. Nigeria would have won AFCON and be in the world cup before 1994. Lesson to Learn: Let Keshi know that the inclusion of Osaze, Anichebe, Obafemi amongst other senior players should not be over ruled if they are still inform. |
How do we know that CAN exist if they do not respond to issues like this. Obviously they are working for GEJ/PDP. |
What sanitation do you need, the court asked them to vacate their seat after it was proved they were not the right candidate emerged according to the party and INEC rules. Do you expect the General to order battalions from barracks to start chasing the bad eggs? Buhari made us to know that in politics you sanitize by laying rules and regulations and the umpire is there to adjudge you. No force, no cohesion, no aggression. You need votes of your enemies to emerge only for you to manage him. The same method he will adopt to "sanitize" Nigeria. TechRev: Thank you my brother! So you are telling us now that The General can not sanitize his party?? So how can he sanitize Nigeria?? Or will those experienced politicians disappear if he becomes president?? |
I will continue to reiterate that Buhari is a blessing to democracy, good governance and the country at large. He always want good and right people to emerge as the candidate. The bad eggs always cut corners because their antecedent will make them unpopular in the party and unable to win even at the ward elections. The party has given the rules and regulations for elections and emergence of party candidates. If you swap your names(as the case was in Katsina with the help of INEC officials) because you have power to influence at the level of Abuja, you are on your own, Buhari will not influence for anybody even if you are his blood brother, you will lose the seat in the court of law. How do you expect Buhari to disqualify a candidate or get involve in who emerge at various level? This is electoral function and not Buhari's. He is also a candidate and this is democracy not military. |
We should get it right that in party politics some undesirable elements must be in the midst. They understand politics of bitterness, they always struggle to feed their own nest and use every opportunity within their disposal to create internal problem in the party to favor themselves. About CPC internal Politics, I was opportuned to involve in the last party politics. I want to tell you that Bahari is a blessing to this country. He and the leadership of the party(though some are "Judas") insisted that we must follow due process to produce our candidates by conducting primaries starting from each ward in the Local Governments. Some "very experienced politicians" were planted in the party by PDP and other parties trying to dismantle the party. They established and operated parallel faction, they bribed their way to submit their candidate who did not emerge as a result of right primary elections to Party Headquarter in Abuja, they manipulated and swapped names. Everything they were doing was to disturb us. It was a great challenge for us. However,we remained focused. Let me cite example of what happened in Oyo State between Bar. Adebayo Shittu and Hon. Ibrahim Taiwo. Taiwo was planted by Akala/Ladoja supported by Amidu Ajibade. When Taiwo failed he defected to Accord but they did a lot of damage before they left. Had it been we won election some of their candidate would have been dubiously emerged which we would also have to contest in the court. |
Why do we choose to be hypocrite denying the evil plots which same-sex marriage ably represents. It is abomination custom and religion wise. It is abysmally against our history as a country. If it is not accepted to marry your daughters or yours sons even in your privacy, why would same-sex marriage be implied by a section of our law publicly. It is high time we start questioning what these NGOs represent and their true face. |
I agree Kanu Nwankwo is a great Nigerian player but he never convinced me as one in the three world cup finals he represented Nigeria. Such is not the characteristics of great players in other countries. |
May you never be impressed and satisfied in your life except you are just to Obagol by your comment. He labored to earn his money and took the pain to spend 10millon naira on orphan on Xmas day when you have forgot that some people are in hospital and orphan exist and All you can say is that you are not impressed because he publicized it. You need seek for forgiveness. babyosisi: The Bible says when you do your good deed and tell the whole world so that you be praised, you have already received your reward |
Jesus Christ performed miracles and they were recorded despite that he asked people to keep it secret. Pastor Adeboye Fellowshiped with Prisoners & guards at Kirikiri and was made known to public even on nairaland, so please tell me what Martins has done wrong by spending money on orphans, settling hospital bills. He worths to be encomium-ed. Only God can reward him. |
Fellow Nigerians, I can now see why I can but continue to admire and love GMB. He so much achieved as military officer; a former Governor, Minister, GOC, Head of State, PTF Chairman. He is naturally a leader. He genuinely lives to fight corruption and indiscipline. In his history two persons have worked against him (IBB in the military and OBJ in politics), the two Septuagenarians are close to devil. To crown his achievements, he refused to soil his hands when worked under late Gen. Abacha government, the most corrupt government ever had in Nigeria! How on earth would someone work with Abacha and not be rich and as Petroleum Trust Fund Chairman!! Somebody answer me, from what planet has Buhari come from? A former Head of State built his houses with loans from Banks, and living only on pension? May you live long GMB. In fact, a researcher should start to study this man. He deserves so much respect including every Nigerians vote. For those who will never see anything good in GMB, let them ask their parents and GEJ how they got rich AND see if they are in any way better than Muhamadu Buhari. |
Anybody can testify that this is not acceptable in Islam. The best Islamic antics can say is that the "GAY MOSQUE" will soon experience "bomb quake". Let him call it any name apart from mosque and save the place. In short Mclatunji will be dreaming in his sleep when nairaland members will wake to inform him of collapse of "the hose of devils". |
I love this move of regional integration by progressive and focused governors. Nigerians must wake-up. We should never allow PDP party to rule again in south-west and Nigeria at large. They are clog in the wheel of our progress. Formal governors Alao Akala and Olagunsoye Oyinlola almost ruined LAUTECH with politics, Gbenga Daniel versus Hon. Alausa and his erring House of Assembly in Ogun State, Segun Oni versus Ayo Fayose in Ekiti, Akala and Adedibu versus Ladoja in Oyo, Dimeji Bankole Vs OGD ETC. However, ACN must not leave their heads in the cloud. People like Tinubu must remember God. |
It is amazing to see a list comprising alumni of University of Ibadan being claimed by enthusiasts of other universities. Professor Ango Abdullahi was alumnus of U.I. He was honored by the NAAS, University of Ibadan branch in 2003 at their Maiden Alumni Lecture delivered by Emeritus Professor Adenuga Oyenuga(rtd). He graduated in 1965. The fact is that you can not beat the reach. University of Ibadan stands out when you are writing history of who is who in Nigeria. The Premier University is equal to the rest. |
Was the lady a virgin when Dino met her? Has she not been warned by her sister not to date him? Did she ask for her sister's advise before sleeping with Him? Has the lady not slept with another man after she called it quit with him. Has she married now? If No, why? Do not fall prey for a common bitch! You are free to castigate Dino if you never had pre-marital sex and have always been found faithful to your legal wife only, otherwise Dino is worse as you. Besides, never under-estimate the games of politicians. I will be the last to defend irresponsible Dino. |
I do not know why commentators on Nairaland have to criticize Saudi Arabia, Islam and Muslims just because some people have decided to break laws in a foreign land. Any right thinking person should accede to the judgement if they are found guilty. In Saudi there is rule of law guided by Koran which is not hidden to anybody in the world. It is a suicide mission dealing in hard drug if you are caught. Let us start preaching to have respect for laws irrespective of where we are going. By the side, those guys have committed a grave sin against humanity by abusing "garri", the common man food in Nigeria. Whoever abuses garri shall face the wrought of God. |
The Islamaphobia nairaland. There can only be peaceful world only if we respect and honour our differences. I am yet to read where moslems derogate christian sacrileges but Christians do, they also support those that engage in such acts all in the name of freedom. I condemn in totality the extremism of some moslems, also some of us are extremists in attacking Islam. ![]() |
^^^It's funny you want to bring 'logic' and 'reason' in the case of the bolded (your assertion being true of course), but i'm afraid you seem to have 'joined' the story halfway. The same 'logic' and 'reason' should first be used to ask why go and bomb innocent christians minding their business and celebrating fathers day in their respective churches. To address any problem, you need to go to its genesis: their wouldn't have been any repraisal attacks if the innocent christian worshippers hadn't been attacked first. What the moslem youths should do is carry out an operation 'know-your-neighbour' and 'who-the-fuc/k-is-this-JJC' to identify strangers in their midst, and know what everyones business is. This can help root out the evil newcomers and wicked immigrants from Chad and Niger that have been recruited by the shadowy malevolent forces bent on making the country ungovernable.
Many of us were happy to hear the reprisal attacks on muslims because we believe they deserve it by not fishing out BH among them. However, I do not know when it becomes their constitutional duty while we are left out. Nigeria muslims are being unnecessarily humiliated, killed by BH and the Christians through reprisal attacks. The menace of BH is being castigated upon muslims, their prophet is vilified, insulted including anybody who summons courage to come out and defend them. We, the christians, see ourselves as oppressed but we equally oppress muslims. Don't they have right to be muslims? Let us all face and fight Boko Haram and not Muslims. My warning for anybody: whoever kills my mother who is a muslim or my sister who marries a muslim shall incur my wrath, I will also kill him no matter his religion because they are more dare to me than anything in this world even though I am a devoted christian. |
Logic Mind: another Yoruba islamic slave apologist. It is more logical to say that whoever kills or supports the killing of innocent soul has sinned against the creator of that soul(God) and shall face the wrath from heaven. We need to stay clear so that we will not be joined. @ Logic Mind, I advise you seek for forgiveness and watch your posts and contributions. Yorubas, Muslims and Mohamed are not your enemies. Freedom fighters should fight against the devils Boko Haram and irresponsible Nigerian government. It's going to be a battle lost to Boko Haram menace if we continue to kill muslims in retaliation. |
Those idiots would ever be in the front line to curse Buhari. They so much hate him but they fail to realize that prosterity would not judge them right because the man says simple truth. I remembered when Buba Marwa, the MD of Albarka Airline, said to the face of formmer President Obasanjo how they cut corners in the Aviation Industries. |
As long as elections are continued to be rigged in Nigeria, violence is e. I have heard many times from politicians like Lam Adeshina and Asiwaju Tinubu the same comment credited to Buhari and nobody called for their heads. If you like kill Buhari. The truth is that GED and PDP are a failed group. They have produced terrible leaders worse than Boko Haram. They killed Bola Ige, Funsho Williams, just to mention a few. They empower oil cabals "the untouchable", with the aids of criminals like James Ibori, Bode George people are getting poorer. What is more Boko Haramic than poverty? |
Yekini was not broke, he was satisfied with himself and all he achieved but the problem started when his mental status could not be ascertained. He started giving out his properties, paying people unnecessarily, and became sudden generous. He kept to himself and refused to talk to people, he probably soliloquized. These are signs signify psychological disorder. And this was when he needed every help. It seemed nobody cared to evert him of his predicament including government but some press who did it only to gossip and mock him, and not in good faith. At that time Yekini could not be able to help himself. |
@PRO01; Your father is "extremly gross, filthy, and unkempt animal (physically, mentally and spiritually) mad. In fact you and every member of your family are disgrace to progressive body of this nation. You are so backward in your thought. Since you have failed yourself to smell the plot of PDP. It was only in Osun State out of all south-west States that GEJ lost in 2011 presidential election. For your information Aregbe is from Ijesha land, a christian dominated area, they are in his support. Ta'awun Muslim society is like any other muslim society that have influence in Iwo, a muslim dominated area. There is no room for Boko Haram in Yoruba land. The State anthem is recited in every occasion in Ogun State, infact Osun State emulated Ogun in that line. If President GEJ can go to "REDEEM CAMP" and associate with his Christian brethren, he also solicits for offerings for churches(don't forget he must have paid his tithe to Churches from the money he steals from Nigeria) and nobody dares tagging him of evil, fanatic or a crusader, or trying to turn Nigeria to a Christian country. If Aregbe , a muslim, associates with other muslims, what is the problem? Are you saying nobody should be a muslim in Nigeria because of Boko Haram, or a muslim should apostatized because he is now a governor. |
Ah! Shame on CAN. They have done enough to foster religious hatred in Nigeria, most times they sound political and tribal. Now calling for Azazi's sack. Who knows may be one of their leaders has asked for help form Azazi which he turned down. They always turn National issues personal. Instead of invoking for the sack of their "holy ghost" which they have called severally to "fire" Boko Haram and still refusing them because the true Holy Ghost is just, compassionate, loving and not tribal and partisan. The economic policies mandated for countries subscribing to world bank has never been favorable to the masses in any nation(This is fact and I stand to be corrected, I have my statistics here for further debate). Okonjo Iweala as the president of World Bank, what are the masses of Nigeria will benefit if not implementation of economic policies that will further impoverish people GEJ. |
I do not see any fault on the side of NFF in hiring a Foreign Technical Adviser. Going by the reality in the modern day, hiring just one expatriate to bring seriousness to our national teams should be a welcome idea. Many of our local coaches do little to improve themselves, they fail us when we need them most. Expatriates want achievements, Nigerians want money. |
Anybody who claims to be a prophet is a liar. He does not hear any message from God as claimed but from their Jinns who demand something in return and continue to serve him as long as they are in good term. These Jinns will accede to his commands which are supernatural and you call it miracle. Depending on how powerful these Jinns are, the person(who can be pastor, prophet, alfa, bishop, prophetess, evangelist, herbalist, e.t.c.)can perform signs and wonders, miracles, and any form of extraordinary. Their place of worship may be big, the man may look so humble and be very rich. May God Almighty save us from falling into their pit. Then why going to seek miracles from these undesirable elements parading themselves as "man of God" when indeed they are "man of Satan". |
Sir, could you kindly advise me on the next step I can take. I am currently working as a Business Development Executive in an IT company but I studied Agricultural Extension with B.Sc and M.Sc degrees. In M.Sc I had M.Phil/Ph.D grade. I am not satisfied with my current job because it is not my background. I am confused now that I am married with two kids, I want to go back to school. How do I sustained my family, with M.Phil/Ph.D grade, how do I continue? |
