Yesterday was world aids day and the National Association of Microbiology students, NAMS(UNILORIN chapter) organised a programme to mark the event.

The programme featured lectures, song, drama and MTVshuga filmshow at viva cinema ilorin.

There was also condom distribution and demonstration and also HIV blood test.

Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of kwars state has promised a 10million naira for indigent students in the faculties of physical and life sciences in the 'better by far' university of ilorin.

The Governor made the promise at the ongoing 31st convocation of the university taking place at the university auditorium.

The 31st convocation programme which also marks UNILORIN 40th year anniversary has in attendance a lot of dignitaries including President Mahama of Ghana and a representative of President Muhammadu Buhari of the Federal Repulblic of Nigeria.
