Business / See Startups That Were Inspired By Previous ASUU Strikes by oluwadanie1(m): 9:54am On Apr 15, 2017
As typical Nigerians that we are, when the ASUU strike was still very rampant (which it still is) in schools like the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) being the most hit, all we did was to complain, groan and curse the federal government from the comfort of our homes doing nothing.

However, on the other hand, some youths (students) instead of behaving like the normal Nigerian, saw an opportunity in the strike and used it to their favor, creating startups that have grown very big now. It would be fair to say they were the biggest winners during the ASUU strike.

See below startups that were created during the some of the infamous ASUU strikes.

Jobberman

According to forbes, Jobberman is “West Africa’s most popular job search engine and aggregator’’. The startup was created by Olalekan Elude, Ayodeji Adewunmi and Opeyemi Awoyemi who were students of the great Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), during the ASUU strike in the year 2009.

Today, Jobberman is providing millions of people with the opportunity to find employment and is arguably Nigeria’s (even West Africa’s) largest job search portal.

CashEnvoy

if not for ASUU strike, i don’t think there’ll be any Startup called CashEnvoy, because as an undergraduate of OAU, Olaoluwa Awojoodu, began his journey into entrepreneurship with a recharge card business during the peak period of a 2002 ASUU strike that inevitably kept him out of school for eleven months.

After he resumed, he ran a lot of businesses in IT and gained enough experience to launch Electronic Settlements Limited, the parent company of CashEnvoy, PayPad and a host of other company under its portfolio.

CashEnvoy is a payment service that allows businesses receive payment online. Websites that integrate with CashEnvoy can accept payment from all the major Nigerian debit cards, international Visa/Mastercards and also from the CashEnvoy wallet.

END POINT:

when next you hear of an ASUU strike looming, please do not be destabilized. Instead, you jump up and be happy, and also figure out something productive you can create during that period. Who knows, it might just be the next big thing.

Thanks for sharing.

It's not a contest, though.

Do all the countries have the same level of awareness?

Are error issues promptly resolved in all the countries?

Or are you told to "Oga, send a mail to our complaint desk and wait for ONLY 23 working days"?

Or "call our 24-7 customer support where you'll spend 35 minutes listening to ALL our products"?

Shey you understand?

Yes sir, i do.
Business / Nigeria Ranks 7th On Pos Transactions In Africa by oluwadanie1(m): 12:01am On Apr 12, 2017
After three solid years since POS was introduced into this country, it is sad to know that according to a report, Nigeria stills ranks on a far 7th on POS transactions in Africa with country like Ghana and South Africa far above. According to a report by Indexmundi only 21 percent of total transactions in the country are done through the PoS device.

According to Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the PoS density per 100,000 people in Nigeria is 13, while India’s is 67; Uganda, 453; Namibia, 338. It might also feel good to know that Nigeria has a target, and that is to meet Brazil’s PoS deployment rate of 2,247 per 100,000 people by 2020. The only headache here is that proper moves are not being made to meet the stipulated target.

On what may be the reason behind this number, Kevin Chung of Avante International Technology, at the just concluded CashlessAfrica Expo, said that while the communication network and bandwidth are adequate, the data centres in the financial communities in Nigeria needs to upgrade from Tier 1-2 to Tier 3-4 to enable the cash-less economy.

But if you ask me for a reason, I’d tell you that it is the fear of Nigerians to trust a new payment system. We are already fully engrossed in the cash payment system that it took some time to even accept the online payment fully. And may I note that it has not been fully accepted in the country YET.

“There is high percentage of unbanked in the country and uneven access to money, these hobbles cashless initiative in the country.” These were the words of Tunde Ogungbade, managing director, Global Accelerex Limited, who said that cash places a huge toll on GDP and that in Nigeria cost of cash management is projected by CBN to be N250billion by 2020.

He also added that a cashless future must serve society at large, and that it cannot be about corporate interest, governmental control or surveillance and monitoring. “It must be about providing endless consumer choice for payment”.

Well, to me, I think a lot of awareness should be done on how safe payment with a PoS could be, because as an average Nigerian, I fear to part with my money without getting any value in return.

Phones / Did You Know: A Smartphone Can Now Test Sperm Quality by oluwadanie1(m): 10:46am On Apr 02, 2017
Just the moment when you think technology has reached its absolute peak, you’d surely get one more thing that pushes beyond limits and set another standard for some others to beat. In absolute terms, i am inclined to infer that technology has no limits. You’d know why in a little time.

The newest thing a smartphone can carryout now is to test your sperm quality, yes you heard right. It can actually let you know if you’re suffering from infertility or not.

The aim of the technology as described in the journal Science Translational Medicine is to make it easier and cheaper for men to test their sperm at home. Okay, so this would be sure to cause a lot of tension amongst couples.

“We wanted to come up with a solution to make male infertility testing as simple and affordable as home pregnancy tests,” these were the words of co-author Hadi Shafiee, who is a doctor in the division of engineering in medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

“Men have to provide semen samples in these rooms at a hospital, a situation in which they often experience stress, embarrassment, pessimism and disappointment.”

The new test, surely, “can analyse a video of an undiluted, unwashed semen sample in less than five seconds”.

The smartphone-based device detected abnormal semen samples — based on World Health Organisation thresholds on sperm concentration and motility — with an accuracy of 98 percent while the cost of the materials used to assemble it measures up to US$4.45 (S$6.23).

Now, I know for sure that you are absolutely convinced that technology can take us to very great heights. If a smartphone can actually do this, then I think that the name should be called “smarter phone”, because it actually is smarter.
Though the device has not been released to the public yet, just brace up and prepare, because its coming.

Education / Lecturer Slaps UNILORIN S.U President For Mediating On Behalf Of Students by oluwadanie1(m): 6:12pm On Mar 13, 2017
The drama ensued at the UNILORIN C.B.T center when a lecturer from the faculty of engineering slapped Comrade Shobowale Lukman (Eminent), the Students Union President, while he was mediating on behalf of some students who were inappropriately delayed in writing their exams.

At about 4:20pm, some students from the department of Nursing, College of health sciences who have been waiting since around 9am, approached the students union president to intercede on their behalf in a bid to write their examinations after a long wait.

The students union president, in the spirit of solidarity, proceeded to the appropriate body with the aim of dialoguing with the exam coordinators, so the 50 Nursing students write their exams to prevent them from missing the bus scheduled to take them back to their faculty.

It was in this process that the Sub-dean, faculty of engineering, Dr. Ajiboye slapped him after he politely approached and introduced himself while trying to meet with the C.B.T Secretary, Dr. Tomori.

Dr. Ajiboye then rudely shooed him off and while he (Eminent) stepped aside, to converse with his colleague, the said lecturer approached him and questioned him as to why he decided to murmur after he has spoken and he then slapped him.

This resulted in an uproar from the students and it took the quick thinking of Students Union president to calm the already angry students who were ready to cause a bigger scene at the center.

Dr. Ajiboye’s action has really violated the ethics of the school, and the situation should be looked into by the disciplinary committee, in a bid to forestall future occurrences.

While we spoke to some students, who witnessed the scene, many described it as an”aberration and an injustice” on the part of the lecturer, as that would not be the first time such act would be perpetrated by either teaching and non-teaching staffs of the school.

Celebrities / Commedienne Emmanuella: Small, Mighty And Inspiring - By Daniel A. Moses by oluwadanie1(m): 8:22am On Feb 23, 2017
One cannot but wonder how a girl who was born in 2010, when I was already in S.S 1 is already making it and accumulating profits, fame and can be said to have a career already. This goes a long way to teach us a whole lot of things about life in generally.

I’d like to describe comedienne Emanuella as Miss “YAGI”, because in the real sense of it, she’s “Young And Getting It”. She might be small (in fact, she is small), but then, she is mighty and inspiring. For the purpose of this piece, we’re going to cast our focus on the inspiring part.

Many people who might refuse to draw a little inspiration or lesson as the case may be from this girl may be doing that at his/her own risk. So, please stay with me on this and trail me with an open mind as I bring out some of the very important lessons which I have learned and I want you to do same too.

1. The world does not revolve around your “bum bum” or fine face

A whole lot of people are still living with the illusion that once they have a nice “package” or a beautiful/handsome face, then they can have whatever they want in the world. I’m sorry to shock you brethren, the world does not revolve around that, it never did.

Instead, the world revolves around what you have to offer, what is in your head and how you put it to use. Emanuella does not have a big “bumbum” or breast YET, but she’s offering some quality content to the populace and it is fair to say she’s at the peak of her game.

2. You’re never too small

Okay, so you’re saying at 18 years of age, there are some things you don’t want to do because you’re “still small” – Emanuella is not even seven years old yet. Bros, your parent might still take you as a child, but in the eyes of the law, you’re a full grown adult and if you mess up, you’ll go to jail, but that’s not the point.

True, there are certain limitations associated with your age but then, there are no age restrictions when it comes to connecting with people and making the right networks. Emanuella had the right connection with her uncle, Mark Angel, and they both made the most of it. Look for yours today.

3. Make the right connections

Putting in mind that you aren’t too small, I’d suggest you start looking for the Mark Angel type of connections, and put to good use when finally gotten.

4. Associate with like minds

I don’t know if it was Emanuella’s idea but I loved the concept of bringing on other kids, just like her into the comedy industry. This would enable more ideas flow in their circle.

But then, when we have people who feel they are a very large fountain of knowledge, they don’t bring others on board, instead they do it all alone only to come crashing down like a pack of cards even after they might have made it up.

When we look beyond just the age of this lady, we are sure to be gainfully inspired. I don’t know about you but I am already.

In life, people come with their different purposes, different intents and different everything. But then, there are things, attitudes and traits that are very inclined to success even if they are not a success guarantee.

I’d do well to leave you with a quote from Mauricio Chaves Mesén, ”Truth is there is not a right or predetermined age for success; only people who finally decide to succeed. Age is in your mind.

Phones / Nigerian Telcos May Block Whatsapp & Skype Calls To Generate More Revenues by oluwadanie1(m): 4:07pm On Feb 21, 2017
In the heat of a very unfavorable economic climate, it is seeming like most companies, technology and telecommunications company inclusive are not at all too happy with the way things are heading. It is very logical to say that services like video calling platform, Skype and instant messaging platform, whatsapp, are already pulling business away from telecommunication networks, MTN, Globacom, Airtel and their likes.

Most people in a bid to save airtime and use a more cheaper alternative, Data would prefer to make use of Whatsapp call or Skype rather than just using the normal, conventional call service. But sadly, the telcos are feeling the heat and proposing all these comes to an end.

According to Punch, Telecommunication companies in Nigeria may block calls made on popular messaging apps like WhatsApp and Skype in a bid to address concerns over revenue loss and raise a revenue of N20trillion.

According to the manager at one of the major telecoms: “It is an aggressive approach to stop further revenue loss to OTT players on international calls, having already lost about N100tn between 2012 and 2017″ Read more: WhatsApp End-to-End Encryption Doesn’t Totally Secure Messages from Third Parties “If we fail to be pro-active by taking cogent steps now, then there are indications that we may lose between N20tn and N30tn, or so, by the end of 2018.”

Quoting the Director, Public Affairs, NCC, Mr. Tony Ojobo, he said: “We don’t have any evidence of that. We do not regulate the Internet. I am not aware of this development, but globally, operators and network equipment makers don’t really embrace Skype,” the Managing Director, TechTrends Nigeria, Mr. Kenneth Omeruo, said.

“They liken Skype to an individual who takes undue advantage of other people’s generosity without giving anything in return. Globally, there is this apprehension among telecoms operators that Skype only steals their customers, while they invest billions of dollars to build, expand and upgrade networks”, he added.

Well, if all these works out, Nigeria would be a part of many other countries that have regulations that effectively block internet telephony from competing, both for monopolistic and surveillance reasons. And then, we would be back to the old days of buy airtime first, before you can make any call. I can’t deal please.

Phones / Nokia To Revive The Nseries – N95 (android Version) by oluwadanie1(m): 6:29pm On Feb 13, 2017
You remember the good old days when you could own a symbian phone and still feel like a king? If you do own one now, you should be thrown back into the days of old. The ‘N Series’ of those days ruled the world.
Well, I still want to be considerate of the “indomie generation” reading this by telling them a little story about the ‘N series’.

Nokia Nseries was a multimedia smartphone and tablet product family engineered and marketed by the Nokia Corporation. The Nseries devices commonly supported multiple high-speed wireless technologies, such as 3G, or Wireless LAN.
Digital multimedia services, such as music playback, photo/video capture or viewing, gaming or internet services were also supported. The line was replaced by the Nokia Lumia line as the company’s flagship smartphone portfolio.

Well, it all seems like Nokia is about to bring back memories of the days of old as the parent company, HMD global are not willing to lay the spirit of Nseries to eternal rest. They have decided to reawaken the loyalty in Nokia users and they are not targeting a small number.

According to the latest rumor, Nokia is planning to drop a smartphone called Nokia N95 which would likely be launched along with other new Nokia releases at the MWC 2017in Barcelona.
The Nokia N95 is said to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 series chip which we hope will be the SD 652. The choice of SoC places the N95 in the mid-range category and Nokia is said to target up to 50 million units in cumulative sales from the N series.

With the recent moves by HMD global, it is seeming to prove that the Nokia brand is in very safe hands, with a whole lot of creativity and objectivity at their disposal. They have proved themselves worthy competitors in the smartphone industry.

I sincerely think other brands like Samsung, infinix, Gionee, Itel, Huawei and their likes should now begin to shiver as Nokia is surely up to something. They should just hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

Again, I say, Nokia is the king of comebacks. But then, let us see how the sales of the Nokia N95 goes when it is finally launched. Would it sellout in a minute just like the Nokia 6?

Phones / Adolf Hitler’s Telephone Is Up For Auction (Photos) by oluwadanie1(m): 8:27pm On Feb 06, 2017
So amongst all legends that we have (or have had) on this planet earth, the only person's telephone that could have gone on auction is Adolf Hitlers'.

Well, for the "indomie generation" whom have heard nothing about Adolf Hitler, he was a German politician and was the leader of the Nazi Party ( Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei; NSDAP), Chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945, and Führer ("Leader"wink of Nazi Germany from 1934 to 1945.

As dictator of the German Reich, he initiated World War II in Europe with the invasion of Poland in September 1939 and was central to the Holocaust .

Given the above, I don't think he is someone you might want to get close to. But then, his phone is up for auction guys!

Adolf Hitler’s red ‘phone of destruction’ is a Siemens-made rotary handset that was taken right from his bunker following the capture of Berlin in 1945.

The starting bid for the gadget is at $100,000 and bids are expected to go as high as $300,000.

Given his status, I see a bid that'll go far higher than that amount quoted up there except if the auction would be done in Nigeria.

Question of the day: How much would be your highest bid for this telephone?

Politics / Youths And Roadmap To Greater Kwara by oluwadanie1(m): 9:46am On Dec 28, 2016
By Anifowoshe Titilope Twakkalt..

KWARA state was founded on May 27, 1967 with the Yoruba people as the major ethnic group. The Nupe, Bariba and Fulanis constitute the minority group.Kwara is a citadel for recreation and tourism. The Esie Museum, Sobi Hill, Kainji Lake National park, among others, is fresh in our memory. The state stadium complex promotes sporting activities and also serves as recreation center for the state. Kwara is endowed with notable activists, philanthropists, business tycoons, academics, lawyers, diplomats, doctors, artists, security chiefs, bankers, among others who can turn its fortune around for a better tomorrow. It is blessed with vibrant youths who are leaders and giants in their various endeavours. One, however, wonders why Kwara is in its current state of development.

Since May 29, 1999 when Nigeria returned to the democratic system of government, various states in Nigeria have moved from one level of development to the other both in their political system and in human development. This is not to say that Kwara has not achieved any development at all over this period. But more really needs to be done considering its human and natural resources. We cannot underplay or relegate the various efforts of successive government to ensure the development of the state, but it is very important to expedite action in ensuring a more palpable and holistic development, especially in human capital development, structural amenities and drastic unemployment popular among its citizens.

Kwara is largely a one-city state and most areas, apart from Ilorin, are rural, lacking good roads, drainage systems and other infrastructure. The intra-town/intra-city road network through Obo- ile and Obo Ayegunle, Oke-Opin, Osi, Odo-Owa, Ayedun, Ekan-Meje, Idofin, Ilale, Erinle, Iloffa, Oko, Imode, Egosi, Omu-Aran, Edidi, Oke Onigbin, Oro, Ajase, Offa, Omupo and most of the southern part of the state is grossly inefficient and requires speedy rehabilitation.

There exists a wide gap between the poor and the rich in terms of quality of life. Poverty is rife in the state and hunger is palpable among its people. In fact, many refer to Kwara State as a civil service state because most Kwarans are civil service workers. The political elite constitute the majority of the upper class. They take advantage of the hunger among the people, sharing peanuts to indigent Kwarans to buy their votes in the name of charity. Local investment in the state by the elite is abysmal, as they prefer to invest their wealth in Lagos and other south-western state, building nothing but cottages in their hometowns.

The political system has been dominated by the same set of people since the creation of the state. The leadership cadre is filled with aged politicians who think nation building is their exclusive preserve and, as such, youths should not be involved and given any chance no matter how small. They prefer to use the youths as political thugs. Youth leaders in the major political parties are mostly above 40 years. Youths refer to persons with energy, vigour, ideas and enthusiasm for a brighter future. They normally range from age 18 to 35 years. Why do we still languish under the umbrella of massive underdevelopment when there are vibrant and able bodied men and women who are filled with various talents and drive to bring a positive change?

The future of the youths has been mortgaged for selfish gains. They have been denied quality education across all levels. The state owned tertiary institutions bill students huge amount of money. Many students drop out of these institutions due to the exorbitant school fees in the face of bad and unstable economy. Scholarships, bursaries and other government functions to alleviate their sufferings have hit the rocks. The minds of many youths have been infested chronically with low morality and loss of values.

Skills acquisition which could be a means of youth empowerment has been crippled. The youths are trustees of posterity and should be held in the highest esteem. Many student organisations and youth forums have been disconnected from their core values. We really need to wake up. Our future is priceless and invaluable. The National Association of Kwara State students and other similar groups have all lost track of their purpose.

The youths should be willing and ready to join the formidable force in order to champion the course of development. Kwara youths should be ready to shun all social vices and corruption as they are tools of relegation. We should be ready to sacrifice our time and youthful ideas towards its development. We should be united in one accord, accommodate our differences and be ready to stand for the welfare of entire youths in the state. We should avoid bias, sabotage, nepotism and corruption in their entirety. The bright future of the state should be our watch-ward and, as such, no amount of money should be big enough to jeopardize the health of the movement.

Our unity and accord should remain concrete. It is not a window to either join a political party or get affiliated to one. It is a movement that seeks the development of Kwara through youth participation. Members should, however, beware of political party affiliations in order to preserve her objectives. We shall speak with a common voice to protect the rights of youths in kwara state and ensure the development of our immediate environment through concerted efforts.

Our youths must seek and desire education across all levels. Nelson Mandela said: “No country can really develop unless its citizens are educated.” Acquiring qualitative education is not pocket-friendly; government should assist the citizens by subsidizing the fees of the state-owned institutions and also provide scholarships for indigent students. We should be ready to sacrifice our talents, experience and knowledge to improve the intellect of the less privileged so that they can also attain their potentials.

Vocational training is another alternative for youth empowerment. We can meet with philanthropists who will engineer this project and promote its sustenance. Re-orientation of Kwara youths is sacrosanct at this point if we really need development. There should be massive campaign against drug abuse, hooliganism, thuggery and other social vices among youths. Youths should know that their future is in their own hands. The era where politicians buy off their conscience should be thrown into the bin of history. Youths should stand firm and be united in their advocacy for the rightful candidates during elections to move the state forward. We should support purpose driven candidates even no matter how popular the party is.

Anifowose is currently a student of the Nigerian Law School.

Politics / Touch A Life Today! Do Something Positive For Humanity by oluwadanie1(m): 7:45pm On Sep 18, 2016
PLEASE MODS, HELP MOVE TO THE RIGHT SECTION IF THIS ISN'T.

Away from the world where accruing more wealth, attaining higher level of power and showcasing one's opulence is the basic essence of life, we at Eagle Foundation have decided to delve away from being cosmetic social media wailers to becoming purpose driven impact makers.

Eagles Foundation for Humanity is a conglomeration of youths from different parts of Nigeria with the core aim of service to God and Humanity through charity and general humanitarian activities. In October 2015, the foundation had its Maiden charity program when it reached out to 5 different communities in Kwara State living in tatterdemalion and deterioration. Since our creation in 2015 we have been able to lighten up the lives of Nigerians , engage youths from diff tertiary institutions in motivational talks , granted financial aids to indigent students and have helped 20 indigent kwara youths secure employment in the private sector .

Its 2016, we are bigger, better and legally recognized. Our passion to serve God and Humanity is undautable and stronger ! Once again we are on a sojourn to touch 6 communities who are in need of basic amenities, we know not our final destination, we possess not millions in our savings, we know not the high and mighty, we know not their kiths and kins but we believe strongly in our ambition and aspiration to lighten up lives when darkness overtakes the world. Of course, the tatterdemalion state of the road is a big bane, such that requires us to consume dosage of analgesic. The living standard of the habitants of these communities is(Kuwo, Omilende, Alalubosa, Otetile etc) is sardonic and disheartening. Our interaction with the heads of these communities left our mouth agape in dismay and pang.

We are yet to be income earners, but with strong ardor, fervor and passion we are convinced that selfless effort, compassion and judicious use of the social media in view of advocacy for charity and humanity are sources of wealth (greater than individual wealth) that can rekindle and help meet the needs of our beneficiary communities.

TOUCH A LIFE TODAY is our way of reaching habitants of remote communities in northern and western Nigeria by gathering foodstuffs, clothes and foot wears (new or old), books and stationeries, mosquito nets and other relief materials.

“We feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean but the ocean itself will be less without that that missing drop”“One small donation : One big Touch, uncountable smiles! #What are you doing for humanity?#touch a life today.

Literature / What Did I Ever Do To Senior Kelvin - Excerpt From 'my Police School Experience' by oluwadanie1(m): 10:37am On Aug 17, 2016
It was a very peaceful Friday afternoon, Muslims had just finished their juma'at prayers and christian students, their fellowship. The peaceful atmosphere was however disrupted by the loud sound of the bell sitting under a tree beside Commissioner B Hostel and sudden chants and screams of 'squale', 'junior boys, run for your life', 'a junior squat' filled the air.

I then realised that it was time for fatigue.

Every Friday afternoon, all students in the school came out for fatigue to clean the school environment. We would pick dirts round the school compound, sweep roads, clear gutters, wash toilets, cut grasses and so on. It topped rankings as one of the most hated days in the school. While most people thanked God its Friday (TGIF), we always wished Friday would never come.

The most annoying part of it was that the whole process was always supervised by S.S 3 students, wicked S.S 3 students who derived joy from watching people do hard labour. If I had the power to change destinies, I would have made sure they became prison warders so they'll have to watch prisoners work hard labour all their life. On a lighter mode, I would promote them after they must have done that for like 20years. You should know I am a very nice person.

As the bell rang continuously, there was commotion in the school premises as students began to run to the school field to assemble for fatigue. It beats me to imagine how we all ran so fast just to go and do labour. I guess we had no choice.

In my early days as a newcomer, I was exempted from doing fatigue but right now, no one saw me as a newcomer anymore as I now worked even harder than the 'old comers'. I now put on the normal school uniform like the old student I was. I sincerely wished I could go back to being a newcomer so a lot of things could happen again like Mariam crushing on me. I was determined that if this happened again, I wouldn't dare dull myself like I did earlier.

After assembling, and a few shouts of 'junior boys' coupled with the loud reply of 'yes senior', we were allocated various portions to take care of, though not before we were given three strokes of the lineyard each for not shouting 'yes senior' very loud. Just Imagine.

That particular day wasn't too lucky for me as I and four others were instructed to wash the popular P.T.A Toilets near the class area. If I had a bottle of water at that moment, and the labour prefect, Senior Kelvin who gave me the instruction was on fire, I would have drank the water.

This toilet was the most popular in the school. It was very popular for the wrong reason. It was never clean except on Fridays when unlucky people like me were asked to wash it 'thoroughly' and in less than two hours after washing, it goes back to its default mode.

Sometimes i wondered what the use of washing it is. People defecated and urinated carelessly and recklessly in it. Even the female section was not left out. One would begin to wonder if the students hated the Parents Teachers Association (P.T.A) so much that they treated its namesake-toilet with so much disdain.

Anyway, I had to do my fatigue hoping that the next Friday would be luckier than this. With anger and disgust on our faces, coupled with the curses under our breath, five of us washed the toilets and ran off faster than injured rats.

It has been six(6) years now and I am still wondering what I ever did to Senior Kelvin to warrant such show of shear wickedness.

Please note that this is an excerpt from a book I am currently working on, 'My Police School Experience'.
