Thanks for the enlightenment. I was talking from different sounds of warning about aid, it's consequences and Views of the authorities about it. I guessed you have tested and trusted the issue so l rest my case while l search for your experience to learn more. temyb: |

@ temyb, l beg to disagree to your decision of obtaining charity organisations aid. AID is AID whatever in it's form. This will be in her record that she couldn't pay her bill and as a result requested for assistance. The bill is very high fine but using aid to clear it might be more dangerous. My view anyway...... Gurus can shed more light. temyb: |

I thank God for you for the gift of Life, may He perfect all that concerns you and your family. My baby then went for a test at Texas Children Medical centre and was billed about $1k (it came few days to leaving), l was offered no discount but was able to pay installmentally (9months). Yours is somehow very high and you need to use all means to get discount, you can explore using Dr F. And the hospital that referred you. (Before my delivery, my obgyn was able to speak to her colleague who is a paed at TCH and she waived Dr fee for myvisits). Above all, pray for favor and God will grant you cheers. quote author=Supernaturalone post=64274231]I arrived Texas on 24 Nov (shared my POE experience at the time). So this is my missionary story! Hi, my obgyn advised me to attend 6weeks post partum check up before travelling. This is for you and not he baby. You might like to factor that in or ask your doc. Hi, make sure you sort everything and agree on d cost before leaving. Womens pavilion uses paed from Texas Children's Hospital. It is an expensive one (they always ensure maximum care for the baby by running series of tests) and they are always bent on their fees (l pray you found favour). I was directed there in 2015 for my baby's check up. I paid a reduced fee of 120$ despite the fact that l was referred from Ben Taub after so many calls from my ob/gyn (they first called a ridiculous amount, my ob/gyn and the doc are colleagues from Baylor College of Medicine so she decided to waive her own charge and l paid the hospital own) only to see a bill of $1000 after a month for the test. After dragging back and forth and l was about leaving. I was given two options of paying installmentally or opting for medicaid. I had to resolve instalmental payment for 9months. All the best. Maybe because - Hers was 2 adult and an infant, infant's fee is just a fraction while yours should be higher if your children are older than 2years. They have same entitlements like adults_ 2pcs of 23kg, a seat and stuffs. quote author=MamaE3 post=63114480] I booked via Travelstart 1 adult and 2 children , I got for 840k . Also, we need to be careful about people sending pms. Recently l got some pms from people asking me questions. The first thing l did was to search for their names on this forum but alas couldn't find them. I was bothered and had to ignore some. Though we may have silent readers but l don't see any wrong if we surface once in a while. I have never heard/seen rayray message here in my 3years 'waka' here. Let's note that he or she can also change I'd. Lastly, please let's not harbour things like this, experience is the best teacher. To those affected, I pray for quick recovery from the trauma. quote author=baddo post=62881334]Abujaniv seems to be interested in this Rayray story. Because yesterday they were silently reading up the complaints in this room for quite a while (monitoring spirit things). Please guys with the amount mentioned here you can get quality apartments in these locations. You are traveling to a foreign country the last thing you want to do is have an address that is not completely verified as hospitable as a pregnant woman. I am sure the VOs will start looking into this more critically as one of the criteria for rejecting visa applications. Your experiences could have been worst. Stay safe. [/quote] 3 Likes |

@Chibertha and Suzist, Hi, do you have any reservation for not wanting Harris Health System, l delivered at Ben Taub in 2015 via CS. l am due by God's Grace in mid 2018. When l wrote the head of delivery section and my personal obgyn, they all consented that l can give VBAC a trial (Though am yet to make up my mind). The head of delivery section is associate Prof and my obgyn is also Prof from Baylor college of medicine, both female as you said. Also, because Ben Taub is a general hospital, they have obgyn and anaesthesiologist on shift at any point in time so even if your personal person is not around, you have a crowd to attend to you. On my delivery day, my obgyn was in Africa for a conference and l had a wonderful time with those around. One point to note again, they bill antenatal separately and seems d staff like seeing people. The more you go the more you are billed. Suzyt: |

Good day all, shout all to all our children. May God bless and keep them for us Amen. Sorry to deviate from our discussion a little but l need to share this to know if someone had experienced such or for advice from who can be of help. I opened a BOA account when l went for birthing in 2015 and have been using the account. I specifically mentioned then that l came for birthing and gave my office addy in Naij as my second address. Since then l have been using the account. Most times l use the account to buy online(eBay, Walmart and Payless) or pay professional dues. I was in US last March and l used as well. I also do make trsf to friends using BOA or through quick pay. I got a mail on Thursday that my account is below minimum balance and that l should fund the account. I was disturbed cos l still have enough above the 25$ min balance. On logging in to the account, l saw a hold of $888,888.88. throwing my account into debit. Mehn, l nearly had heart attackt. A debit of over 300M in naira. That was how it started. I called their line, they kept transferring me from one staff to another till they closed. Please note my account type is safe balance banking. It's sort of a savings account. No cheque and no credit on the account. Fellow nairalanders, l called through out on Friday, they gave their investigation/complaints number. I called and it was answering machine that has been picking. Finally, one of their customer care resolved to put a memo on my account to contact me on my naija number but am yet to hear from them. Please house, has anyone experienced such or knows someone that have experienced such. Since Thursday my mind has not been at rest. Wetin l no chop l no go fit vomit o. With my experience in banking l find it hard to comprehend. Please and please advice oooo. Oga justwise bikooo 1 Like |

Thank God for joyous news. I also witnessed a drama about billings as well. While shopping for hospital to use. I went to see a gynaecologist who said I should redo some of the tests l brought from Naija. I did those tests with my $260 and after he got the results, he called that he will take me as his patient and gave me his outrageous bill. I called the following day to tell him I wont be coming. 3months after I have left, he sent bill to my house telling me to pay about $500. My sis called to inform me and I ignored, only to receive mails from debt recovery. I told my sister to call and after serious fight, she requested for the breakdown. The bill included the day I arrived Houston that I called him. To cut the long story, my sister (shes my split image so they thought I was the one)went to the hospital to see the finance lady who was only shouting you MUST PAY. They included urine test 3ice and I did not do one. After she sat d finance officer down by showing her the day I was stamped in into US and others. They reduced my bill to 147$ which I paid and also got a clearance letter from them. Those people....na real deliver us from all evil. Amen quote author=Tvegas post=49092715] Just got back from the US and discovered that Brown and associate sent an outstanding bill of $135 to my permanent address since last year. This is telling those who are renting accommodation in US especially Oakbend People to leave a forwarding address at the local post office before leaving rented apartments. Some medical billing system na alakoba. 1 Like |

Can't remember the second contributor. @Nef and Favoredgal, I stay at akure, I was able to meet the lady's need cos I have more than enough. Where you bought yours will be appreciated in order to tell her- especially the 72pcs for 4k. I consider that cheap and old stock_- dats 216 for 12k. zoemummy: 2 Likes 1 Share

For mothers in US and the preggies planning to go, kindly consider getting your diaper, wipes, baby milk, cereals and so on if you can afford them at that point. Prices of these in Naija ain't smiling now, a friend couldn't get size 3 huggies for her baby girl today in my area. Thanks again to this forum for giving us estimate of diaper one will use and checklist of what to buy when coming. 3 Likes |

I was told by Stanbic staff that a month old account is what they can use for PTA, maybe that was why they said you should wait till January. While not explore FBN asap before they also reach their limit or CBN change policy. Access has reached theirs. @ Favoredgal, have dropped the idea of PTA for now cos I only want to go on biz. trip, I think will go for western. Union, a friend will collect overthere, credit my account while I shop online. IjayMama: |

Thanks Jacksparrow and Aniz, I Just asked a friend now, max amount you can trsf is $1k per quarter. No requirement like that but you must be an accountholder. Some banks have exceeded their limit so they cannot make transfer in this quarter again. This Forum ehhhhhnnnn, you are on point. jacksparow: |
