LordVoldemort02: I need some honest advice on a situation at my workplace. There’s this guy who has been constantly disturbing and harassing me. I’ve tried everything to avoid him—I’ve warned him multiple times, told him the implications of his actions, and I even have evidence of all his disturbances. I’ve even ask for a change of location.
The problem is, despite all my warnings, he recently tried to attack me. I’m really trying to keep things professional and avoid any 'police wahala' or ending up in a cell because of him. At one point, I even thought about using a weapon just to protect myself if he lunges again, but I know how Nigerian law can be. I don't want to face a criminal case over a nuisance.
How do you guys handle a physical threat at work when you don't want to involve the police? Disturbing and harassing you about what? |

Ibrahim1985: Some say it is the economy that is preventing them to even settle down. Somebody wey never get his place cannot think of getting marry in the first place except he has a family compound. Some cannot marry Igbo or Hausa or Yoruba woman due to personal perference. Some say i cannot marry a Christian or Muslim. Some say he is AS and I am AS so i cannot marry him or her because I do not want to have SS as children. Some say too many girl are into hookup. Some say men only want sex or women only want money. Some are used to be single and do not see marriage as a big deal anymore. Some do not want to be 2nd wife, 3rd wife or wife number 7 to Alhaji. Some have seen their parents divorce and vowed to never get marriage ever. Some have seen their dad or mum have an affair and vowed to just become babymama or babydaddy.
Whatever the case is, marriage is not for everyone. Live your life, those want to marry must be willing to be open and give love a chance. The world is evolving and sadly in the negative direction...the individualism narrative has been so pushed that people now brag that they just want to be alone, and not even thinking about friendship and companionship when in the natural sequence we are meant to be social beings and crave companionship |

Crime › Re: 17-year-old Girl Fakes Kidnap, Extorts ₦500,000 From Mother In Delta by Omalicious1: 6:14pm On Feb 21 |
alphonsoolajide: A disturbing incident has emerged in Delta State, where a 17-year-old girl reportedly staged her own kidnapping with the help of friends and extorted ₦500,000 from her mother.
According to the Delta State Police Command, the teenager orchestrated the fake abduction and demanded ransom from her unsuspecting mother, who is said to depend on farming to provide for her family. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
Police authorities disclosed that after receiving the money, the suspect allegedly spent the proceeds on clothing and other personal items, leaving her mother devastated both emotionally and financially.
In a statement issued by the command, officials condemned the act and stressed the importance of proper parental upbringing and monitoring of children’s activities.
“She connived with her friends, faked her own kidnap, and extorted a ransom of ₦500,000 from her innocent mother who does farming jobs in the village to feed,” the statement read.
The police used the incident to caution parents and guardians to pay closer attention to their children’s behaviour, peer groups, and lifestyle choices.
Authorities emphasised that early guidance, discipline, and value orientation remain critical in preventing young people from engaging in criminal or deceptive acts that could destroy their future.
“Train your children so they don’t end up becoming a problem to you and society,” the command warned.
The case has triggered conversations about youth behaviour, parental supervision, and societal influence, particularly in both rural and urban communities where teenagers may be exposed to peer pressure and materialistic lifestyles.
Security experts note that such incidents highlight the need for stronger family bonds, community mentorship, and moral education to prevent similar occurrences.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing, and authorities have not ruled out possible charges against other individuals involved in the scheme.

Kingzjayzee: Source
A Nigerian woman has reportedly died by suicide in the Ogba area of Lagos, leaving behind a heartbreaking handwritten note that has left family, friends and neighbours in deep shock and sorrow.
The woman, identified as Bola, was said to be a staff member at Wado Credit & Co. According to reports, she had been struggling with serious personal and financial challenges before her death.
Those who knew her described her as calm, hardworking and private, which has made the news even more difficult for many people to accept.
Sources in the area said the incident happened at her residence in Ogba.
She was later found unresponsive after allegedly taking a poisonous substance.
Emergency efforts to save her life were not successful.
Authorities are said to be investigating the matter to understand what led to the tragic decision.
What has deeply touched many people is the note she reportedly left behind.
In the handwritten message, Bola is said to have expressed feelings of failure, deep emotional pain and fear about her future.
Though the full contents of the note have not been officially made public, those who saw it said it showed how overwhelmed she felt by her situation.
Colleagues revealed that in recent weeks she appeared withdrawn and unusually quiet, though she continued reporting to work.
Some said she rarely spoke about her problems and often kept her struggles to herself.
Neighbours also said she mostly stayed indoors and avoided long conversations, something they did not think much about at the time.
