Oga change that word to OFALA. There is nothing like ovala in central igbo.

Obi gi adi n'oku, biko do!
Where are you from and what is central Igbo?

The other day I was listening to an Imo guy reciting Anambra chants in Imo dialect. You guys want to destroy Anambra dialects but it will never happen. From Onicha up to Aguleri say Ovala while Idenmili and their neighbors say Ofala. Today, Onicha say Ofala but they also use "V".

Binikingdowm:
that's what I'm trying to say, just like akoko Edo/ondo axis are where Edo and Yoruba meet, same with this anioma case..

It's annoying seeing igbos claiming all
We are not claiming "all" we simply refused to let history revisionists have their way. Anioma have Bini migrants and huge influence from Bini but we must understand that there were people living there before exposure to Edo people and these people have a very profound and beautiful culture with a language that is still spoken today in Anioma land. That language is Igbo!

read about anioma people and their history, I'm tired of educating igbos on this subject matter
You have no shame. You ran into this thread screaming Anioma are not Igbo just because you heard some ffoollish Anioma people saying the same thing and you think it's a good tool to use to mock the Igbos. When you were called to explain yourself you punked out....What a coward! Come and teach us Anioma history since you have suddenly became Anioma defender. Lets start with Igbanke and maybe you can tell me how they end up speaking Igbo.

smh, Igbo tried taking over a defenceless region then the owners showed up.

You know the rest of the story grin
You meant the British showed up. Oga, carry your Edo abi Bini overbloated ego run comot. You know you are not a big player in the Nigerian or African sphere yet you wont keep quiet. The days of little village African kingdoms with cutlasses are over. Ever wonder why Bini dug a ditch around themselveshuh

Igbo did not take the region, they were just passing by and suddenly all the Bini warriors vanished in a split of a second....lol.

history of igbos.

Slaves to benins then benins gave them to ijaw them to Yoruba then Yoruba used them until British came and freed them..

They made so much mouth when given little power until their cups full , they tried to invade Benin region then a Benin man killed 3 million of them.

Till now they are still irrelevant in Nigeria discussions.

They are always in other people States cause of the fugitive curse place on them.

#fact
I dont engage in beer parlour gossips. However, when Biafran army stepped into Bini there was nobody to fight...lol. Chew on that.

Binikingdowm:
is that why they always deny been Igbo?
Yes, a lot of them deny Igbo identity but if you were a little smart you should be digging into their earliest history as recorded by the British anthropologist that visited Nigeria and documented their true origins before all the ethnic conflicts erupted.

Today , Issele Ukwu king runs to Oba of Bini kneeling and begging for acceptance and you think you have conquered the Igbo? You are rather dining with an inferior in a kingly robe. Bini scholars know these people are not of Bini origin ,because they have no memory of them. Shame!
CultureRe: Igbo Finally Admitted They Stole Edo Female Attire by OMANBALA1: 5:23pm On Dec 27, 2018
Edo people , I respect what you have going on in that your little Bini kingdom but we must learn to cut our coats according to our size. You are too little and inconsequential to squabble with the Igbo. Igbo people are dangerously influential. We are in every part of this planet hustling and making mullah! You Edo people are nobodies, full stop! You dont have any impact in the Nigerian populace, just because Igbos lost the war does not give you the temerity to misyarn.

Oya bring it lemme read
From Asaba, Ogwashi Ukwu, Ibuzo to Igbanke have Igbo roots. You are certainly not the sharpest knife in the drawer...lol. They have been speaking Igbo since time immemorial....No evidence of lost language. The most ancient Agbor kings have Igbo names. The current one is Keagborekuzi...lol. Abeg, drop that topic

At least it's not a crime even in the developed world..

It's certainly better than millions of your people been killed yearly for drug related offence.

Or using your own family for ritual, kidnapping and occultism.

Still better than baby factory business your people engage In.
Other than drug dealing the rest you wrote exist in your own backyard. But , you have legalized prostitution and fraud aka yahoo yahoo

that's different, we know it's history and we aren't trying to change it..

Just like this man trying to convince me how anioma are Igbo because they bear Igbo names, if we don't hold on to history, igbos will claim the attire
You are so daft. How can you even argue about what you have no facts on. You can't win that Anioma argument. They have recorded history

[quote author=Binikingdowm post=74214105]grin which unique?

Let's analyse that female attire for example.

That hairstyle is an Edo brand called okuku.

Everyone know the hairstyle and beads around the neck belongs to the Edo.

It's so shameful and pitiful seeing how Igbos throw away their original own and pick the Edo.

That's why Benin, esan, afemai either Christian or Muslim all have the same traditional attire.

Are Igbos indirectly saying they are from Edo?[/quote

The second picture is definitely not Igbo and if any Igbo dresses like that then they are borrowing.
When it comes to beads , we Igbos wear a different kind, which is reddish in color. Our beads are mostly from stones. No Nigerian tribe can lay claim to ownership of beads. Please, dont embarrass yourself

Even your thought process is inferior. Yorubas borrowed agbada , ichafu means gele in Yoruba. Asoebi is an irrelevant practice. I hate when people dress uniformly at weddings. A lot of the words Yorubas use today are borrowed from Hausa. You are ignorant

deomelllo:
I just don't know why the ignorant people love to compare Lagos state, a state in Nigeria with sovereign nations and sovereign wealth.

Even the Lagos state Metro is a more complex and comprehensive project than what these ignorant ipobs are comparing it with, the countries they are talking about are not building a 10 lane freeway system with BRT access, they did not build massive Metro rail stations, they did not build massive Metro Rail bridge over any Lagoon or body of water.

This project is the largest public works project in Nigeria and Africa.

...but the ignorant chest beaters with nothing to show for their taxes and allocations in their towns and villages are here spewing their usual ignorant nonsense.
So, you know Lagos lacks the privilege of a sovereign state yet you run into this thread and started bragging about how lagos is better than some African countries? You and I know Lagos is a big hot mess and there is nothing to celebrate yet you wont keep your big mouth shut.

a typical developer sighted grin

Ask yourself if Anambra (for e.g.) is owned by the Yorubas. Apply your answer into answering the question of who owns Lagos.

Ask yourself who the hosts are in Lagos, and who the aliens are.

You just exhibited the "developers" syndrome up above.
You are a very smart example of what is wrong with a Nigerian youth. You lack basic reasoning skills, its pathetic. My attempt at addressing you gives me head aches because I dont know where to start from. But,let me ask you a simple question. What are you on about?
