senatordave1: I agree with you but at the community level, these individuals have done a lot.one of the reasons why anambra is heavily urbanised and developed is because private individuals contribute heavily to community development without even waiting for government permission or move.perhaps, they should do more.i wish my state can copy the anambra model It is good these wealthy men are doing something in their various communities but are these projects/structures appropriate? There has to be a sense of order in other for the state to achieve a first world development. Today we have a situation where as soon as people make some money they start building whatever they desire wherever they can find a piece of land. Gas station next to a residential building, factory with carbon monoxide emission next to a school, borehole next to a sucker pit while the government sit in Awka and watch. I dont think Anambra people realize how blessed they are. The state is a goldmine not because we have arable soil because we have very little land mass for commercial farming ,nor because of oil . However, our biggest resources is our human capital. Anambra will do wonders on this earth if we manage our wealthy individuals wisely. Furthermore, our biggest challenge so far is our inability to discover that influencial ,charismatic and thoroughly thinking strategist that can unite Anambra wealthy men/women under one ideology and use the abundance of human resources available to us to transform Omanbala. Osita Chidoka is the only man that comes close. UMUNNA NWEZUO AKU! |

We'll revisit this thread in a few months time, when the likes of Ighalo, Musa, Mikel, and Onazi prove to everyone, at the AFCON, that they are well past their sell by date. I think y'all are getting carried away because Musa had a decent World Cup and Ighalo played well in our last game.
Like I had said, when a player is over the hill, he can still have occasional good games but the problem is doing it on a CONSISTENT basis. That's when you'll find these guys wanting. Mark my words!
O pari Just because Mikel and few others got invited doesnt make it okay to randomly invite any player with a little flash. Super Easgle should be for tested and trusted legs not for amateurs. Osimhen and Chukwueze are not trusted legs that can face stiff opposition. I will still start Kelechi ahead of Osimhen ,today. |

nineone: you are the greatest liar ever liveth. Just last year when the purported unverified statement made it's way into the cyberworld, Dein of Agbor was hosting the whole eleven Ika kingdoms in Agbor s Ika National Hall. He was also the chief host of the Ogwa Ika and the also hosted the Ika National Lectures that same year. And if Dein of Agbor hated Igbo like people had made it he would have started the fight against Igbo by changing his first and surnames...lol. Like I changed my baptismal name to all Igbo when I discovered the Igbo in me. If he loved Ika that much why would he condemn his subjects for speaking the variance? Nigga also threatened to send chiefs who wear red cap away...lol. This is a man who spent most of his formative years in England yet he sounds like a ffool. A nigga will always be a nigga! |

nineone: There is nothing like Ika Igbo. ika is Ika and has always been Ika. There was no time Ika people identified themselves as Ika Igbo. We have always been Ika and that's what our language will remain. There has been a lot of influence on our language in the recent past but efforts is now being made to reduce the level of influence. Agbor is a dialect of Ika language. That's how it has always been and it shall remain so. There is a difference between a language being classified under another language. English is a Germanic language. Itsekiri and Igala are Yoruboid languages. Ika is an Igboid language. That's just the way it's been within the last century and so it shall remain Your Germanic-English comparison will not work because both language are not mutually intelligible. There are Igbo groups who can understand 90% of what Ika speak but not so for an English for German. By the way , you dont have what it takes to influence the way Ika speak...You dont have the will neither do you have the resources. 99% of Ika kids born today are given Igbo names because Ika is heavily diluted and returning to Anioma central Igbo. When you get home ask your Dein why he is allergic to women/getting married....lol I didnt say anything....oooo |

pazienza: Nope.
The Agbor king doesn't recognize Ika language as no such thing exists in his understanding. He only recognizes Agbor language. As a matter of reality, many Agbor people are not sold on this Ika ethnicity thing and rather see Agbor as ethnicity of its own, and all communities surrounding Agbor, as part of Agbor ethnic group. Sometimes I think these guys rarely understand how confused and meaningless. From we are not Igbo to Ika is a separate language. These guys are being willingly ffoollish. Obi of Agbor doesn't even identify with Ika....lol |

nineone: Igbodo doesn't speak like our Aniocha neighbors. They speak an adulterated Ika but what they speak is definitely Ika. We from this part knows what is Ika and what is Anioma. But I don't know how that has made Ika language less of a language. When two language groups meet, the people at the fringes borrow from the two groups. This is a very common characteristic of languages even in the European languages you guys like to cite. Agbor king telling his subjects to speak the Agbor dialect of the Ika language doesn't in any way make Ika less of a language rather, it makes Ika a complete language with different dialects each highly intelligible amongst themselves. Mister, according to your king Ika is a distinct language but I want to know when it was invented and the population of Agbor when this happened. Because according to your wise king there is something called Agbor language that exist outside of Ika. Ika was actually named Eka Igbo because after many years of research by the Europeans it was concluded Ika is an Igboid language. |

nineone: you still have not said anything. What we speak in Ika is Ika language. Those in Ndokwa has said they speak Ukwuani. I don't know about the Enuani guys. I've seen many Enuani people call what they speak Igbo but still insist they are not Igbo. And you want an Ika man that doesn't speak Igbo to accept he's Igbo? Ika is not a language that can stand on its own, because it's a from a mother language ,Igbo. Just because you think Ika is a language doesn't make it one. I am from Idenmili in Anambra yet I understand 90% of what an Enuani man say and 70% of what Ukwuani speak and less than 50% of what an Izii man says. Until you are able to prove there was a dead language which Igbo displaced , you points will always fall flat before facts. I read where Dein of Agbor was instructing his people to stop speaking Igbo ,yet his name if Ikenchukwu Keagborekuzi.....lol. Not a very wise man! |

nineone: what is Anioma dressing, food, rites and customs, marriages that's closer to the Igbo than they're close to the Edos? Are you making this claim because you know or just making it to deceive the gullible? If you know what you're talking about, bring out your point. And why did you single out Igbanke as if Igbanke answer a different type of name different from what other Ikas answer. And do you know anything about Anioma groups? Ika which Igbanke is part of, is a mixture of Edo and Igbo.
There are Anioma related groups in other states but they're not Anioma. Anioma is mostly a political name and if you're not politically Anioma, then you're not Anioma. But what's the most common features in all Anioma and the Anioma related groups both in Delta and outside Delta? If you know Anioma very well, all part of Anioma has this Igbo and Edo features very pronounced in them why do you want them to forget the Edo aspects? Oga, we have trashed this issue here. There is a legitimate reason why they are called Igbo but lots rather argue. Anioma is a fragment of the Igbo nation found in old Bendel. No more no less. |

ANSMEDIA: Work Advances On Abidi Umuoji Gully Erosion Control Project
A cross section of Anambra state rural dwellers affirms that Governor Willie Obiano is keeping Faith with the promise of repositioning the state for the better.
Within the five years of Governor Obiano’s administration, virtually all the communities have received fair share of democracy dividend.
Staff reporter Blessing Ijedibia who was at the over thirty years old gully erosion site at Abidi Umuoji, reports that work is progressing and the people of the area chanted praises for the Governor.
The Abidi Umuoji gully erosion site popularly known as Mgbomgbo Ama Ogbuagu by the natives, has been a gory site to the people of Umuoji and other neigbouring communities for over thirty years.
But today the people have a better story to tell as the state government and the World Bank, through NEWMAP, have sustained efforts towards reclaiming the land devastated by erosion.
At the site, it was observed that heavy duty construction equipment were all actively involved in the construction process.
It was also observed that greater percentage of the road has been sand filled and graded while a dam- like drainage channel is being constructed at the site .
The road which stretches across eight villages in Umuoji and links Abatete has a catchment pit under construction to contain the volume of water in the area.
Appreciating the extent of work so far done on the road, a resident of the area Madam Okafor who said she was overwhelmed with joy, noted that they can now interact with their kit and kins in other villages as they now have easy access to them.
In their separate speeches, Messrs Rowland Nnama and Frank Chidume, expressed gratitude to the God and appreciated the state government and World Bank for touching their lives positively.
Also speaking, Dr. Basil Ojukwu, emphasized that the gully erosion site is now a good sight to behold.
Although the road is yet to be completed, school children are already making use of the road as they were seen trekking home, using the stretch. One of our worst nightmare! Obiano deje daalu |

take a look at this...
I have always suspected that converting the entire SS/SE into Bini is their plan. Which plan ? Bini is struggling to stay relevant, even their language is seventy percent extinct. They know danm well they are inconsequential. Obi of Onicha is currently rated ahead of Oba of Bini by Nigerian government arrangements. You saw what happened when Prince Charles visited, Oba Bini was seated in the back. And , if Bini dare try to trick anybody into their fantasy they will lose what is left of their little village chiefdom. On the other hand Igbo is getting stronger and mightier by days. The scourge oc the war is gradually fading off and we will soon assume our rightful place in the African power game. Bini cant even convince Edo tribes to form a coalition that will place Oba Bini ahead of them, much less Igboid groups. Even uneducated drunks like Ijaws are currently stronger and influencial than Bini. Bini are very tiny without any political strength that's why they are trying to covet Igboid tribes to increase their strength, but how can you achieve this when the people all speak Igbo language and their Igbo is getting stronger and becoming more central. Even the Igbo hating Ikas are giving their children Igbo names because they have no other heritage. As Igbo language grows Bini will soon start speaking Igbo. |
