If its a C180, C200 or C220 then I would choose the Honda Accord, but if its a C240, C320 or C 32 AMG then I would choose the Mercedes Benz

But what? What type of light do you think is on a plane?
Travel › Re: Blackout At Abuja Airport Prevents Planes From Landing by omar22(m): 10:05am On Jun 09, 2012
maclatunji: No wonder, Nigeria is where it is today with people like you. In other countries , if street lights fail at night, it is treated as an emergency. Here you are trying to justify failure of runway lights! We need a firm leader to decisively deal with the decay in this country.
Exactly! within the transport sector ENGINEERING HOURS is between 12 midnight to 4am in the morning, taking possession of a track or runaway during operation hours would require it to be closed down, trying to maneuver between a and b would be putting people's light at risk!

bennyraz: I just wonder if the headlights or whatever lights this aircraft's carry can't illuminate their vision. Everything the Nigeria Government does is almost like a Joke. If the Planes landing had to land on Emergency, what will happen? re-route back to lagos abi? GEJ i hail thee! atleast most of the crashes in the past has been blamed on the incapability or inexperience of the Pilot and his crew, I wonder what they would have blame this onhuh The honest truth is our Aviation Authorities suck big time
You need the lights to land, with the lights you could see the runway from miles and miles away this makes it easy to line up the plane to land!

Travel › Re: List Of Nigerian Planes And Their Ages - Read This Before You Fly. by omar22(m): 2:11pm On Jun 06, 2012
Piyke: Its not just about the physical age of the plane but the number of cycles it has had. Each time a plane flies it gets pressurised and depressurised at the end of the flight, this process brings about metal fatigue. As such a plane that has flown frequently in less time is more aged than one which although older but has flown as much flights as the former.

At the end of the day its all about maintenance, for example here are the age of some British airways planes:

Look I flew Arik when it was Brand new (3 years ago) and I flew with it again last year, am sorry it looked disgusting, so horrible poor maintained! this is how I see it Nigerian Airways were acquired as brand new but lack of maintenance they were all consigned to the junk yard, so it makes no difference whether the plane is 2 days old or 20 years they would be poorly maintained but, but when you have foreign airlines overhauling their fleets and selling them to an air firm to carry Nigerian about seems like the norm! If a millionaire seek to buy a private jet that's over 50 years then that his f**king business but to use it for transportation shows no regards for people. Yes the Brits have a culture of maintaining their things plane, cars, buses, train etc.

Biggyd2: I warned Dana, says Akpabio

Godswill Akpabio
Akwa Ibom State Governor Godswill Akpabio yesterday said he recently warned the Managing Director of Dana Air on the need to ensure its aircraft are air-worthy.
The governor, according to a statement by his Commissioner for Information, Mr. Aniekan Umanah, advised Dana’s management in a recent telephone chat not to endanger the lives of Nigerians.
The governor’s warning came on the heels of an averted air disaster involving Dana aircraft en-route Lagos from Uyo, which had technical problems that forced the aircraft to hover for hours before finally making it to Lagos.
Akpabio bemoaned the disaster and described it as a national calamity that calls for more stringent safety measures in the aviation sector.
He said regulatory agencies should ensure that airline operators adhere strictly to global aviation operational standards.
The governor, who called on airline operators in the country not to experiment with the people’s lives, maintained that similar situations had caused serial air disasters in the past thereby resulting in massive loss of lives and the extinction of affected airlines.

Am sorry we have a government that doesn't care! every plane has to show that they are air worthy every 6 or 12 months,

ogugua88: You say "that's it" as if "Producer of the Year" and other categories for producers are small. No, Don Jazzy and D'banj didn't duet lol, but Don Jazzy was instrumental to D'banj's success and that's incontrovertible. If he wasn't, then people wouldn't be concerned about D'banj going solo. Give the man credit, including "Oliver Twist", for taking mainstream Nigerian music where it has not been before.
I agree to a point but I wont go the whole hog!!! because without Dbanj stepping out of his comfort zone Oliver Twist would still be in the same class as Fall in Love or Suddenly!! or an Oniru beach theme song!!

Donmeca: Maybe u av 4gotn but who actually produced dis Oliver Twist? Kanye West? JJC? JayZ? Or Diddy? Tot it was DonJazzy sha.

Again y must Tiwa sign for either Mavin or DefJam? The only labels in Nigeria? Stupid thread!
Who Produced Lady GaGa's Poker-face? NO ONE EFFFFFIIIINGG CARES Don Jazzy didnt produce Oliver Twist for FREE! he got paid!!!

ogugua88: Don Jazzy, in form of himself or name, may not be at the forefront, but he'll receive credit as the producer and whatever else he did if that song goes on to win awards. Michael Jackson won eight Grammys. Quincy Jones, took two or three for that album.
Agree but they way people are going on you would think Don Jazzy and Dbanj did a duet! Producers get paid to produce an music track or album and if the the only way they get the credit is if they are nominated in the Producer of the year category! thats it and thats all... all credit goes to the singer except if he didnt write the song. Song of the year, Male Artist of the year, New Male Artist of the year, etc would all go to Dbanj!!! and not Don Jazzy

Valto: u wrote and produced this OLIVER TWIST song u are blabbing about huh isnt it don jazzy?.... i awaits a song dat will be soley written and produced by dbang!.... Shikena!
Did Don Jazzy sing the song?

It says Oliver Twist by Dbanj (Not Don J)

Or do you see Thirller by Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones?

Or all the interviews Dbanj has attended you see Don Jazzy?

If your looking for Don Jazzy go to facebook he is always online.

afam4eva: Another D'banj azz-licker on the prowl. How come we've not seen an evidence of D'banj's international status musically. It's only on twitter and the internet that he releases songs. @OP Now, zuzuru si eba puo.
Am sorry but, for Chris Evans, Tim Westwood and Trevor Nelson to play your track on the radio means you are shifting records! for Eastern Europeans to have Oliver on their Iphone singing of the train means your popular. Radio 1 (I mean BBC Radio 1) and Capital FM plays Oliver means alot, because these radio station do not play anything most especially RnB or Rap music.

djustice: I've never seen anyone make as obviously self destructive a move as the one made by Tiwa Savage in choosing to join Don Jazzy in his ill-thought out MAVIN records adventure. She was doing quite well, creatively speaking, on her own, and if she had any sense, she would have waited to let the dust settle before choosing who to go with between the obviously more business-savvy D'Banj and the more creative Don Jazzy.

Already an acknowledged song-writing talent, all she needed was to get a good platform to market herself as an act in her own right, INTERNATIONALLY. Of the entire MAVIN crew, she's the one most likely, based solely on her prodigious talent, to break the international market. Don Jazzy obviously doesn't have the balls to play global, and the rushed "Solar Plexus" album demonstrates how appalling he actually can be in the absence of the kind of exacting standards a badly under-rated D'Banj obviously brought to his game.

With D'Banj now having signed Davido, and having access to the excellent facilities of G.O.O.D. Music and Def Jam, it's not too late for Tiwa to cross over. I reckon the smart D'Banj will soon make a play for JJC (Abdul Bello), who's a SUPER TALENTED producer and international player too. If he could pull that off, the sky would be the limit for his Def Jam Africa label. JJC is already a big brand in Africa, having mentored artistes from all over the continent, including North Africa!!

Tiwa, Tiwa, Tiwa omo Savage!!! How many times did I call your namehuh Retrace your steps from those clueless amateurs before they ruin your promising career for you o!! It's not too late. I promise!
Please stop! its her choice!

Now its going to start into another Igbo vs Yoruba mud slinging
