35824L: He will be relieved of his appointment before this week runs out. I am sure of it. Mr Sam Amuka Pemu is too refined to allow an avowed tribalist head his editorial board.
Nnanna is a liar to call himself a patriot. He is a disciple of nnamdi kanu and does not wish this country well. If you have been a reader of his weekly column on vanguard from many years ago, you would have noticed a pattern typical of hateful bigots from that part of the country where gully erosion, osu caste system, blood money and mass emigration are the norms. @bold: For one to be a true blue follower of that Late King Pig, one has to mandatorily HATE Yorubas. If you have no intention to hate them, then you might as well shelve any thoughts of supporting his course. An ethnic group doggedly pursuing an agenda of hate and bigotry. So damn unfortunate. |

When they have conned innocent people out of their hard earned monies or made a killing from drug trade, these are the kind of needless ventures you see them splash money on. It is totally IMPOSSIBLE for someone who EARNED his buck from legit sources to get involved in such arrogant display of unbridled stupidity. |

TheUbermensch: I'm a Christian. Catholic to be precise.
But I find it laughable when anyone says a group of people want to islamize Nigeria. How please?
Nigeria is a secular state. Agreed. But we are comfortable as Christians to go to a gathering or a meeting where a Christian prayer is said. But we are more surprised if a Muslim prayer is said. We then begin to cry "Islamisation". Can't we allow the 2 religions coexist?
Okay fine. Let's agree there is an Islamisation process going on. Is it enough for us to cry and shout? Why can't we reply back with Christianisation?
The only sect of Christians I respect more than Catholics is Jehovah Witnesses. For them it's not enough to give you fliers and invite you to service. They are ready to spend hours answering your question and clarifying you but they don't ever cajole you to come to their church. They are ready to give you free study materials, even bibles. That is true evangelism. That is what us Christians are supposed to do. It's not enough to hand out fliers with bogus testimonies at the back. Pastors don't even reach their members well. All they are interested is in emotionally blackmailing those who don't tithe and acquiring jets and cars while the very very stupid members say "God is blessing my pastor o".
We should stop crying foul abeg.
What we need do is tackle the matter. God bless you abundantly for this. Only a very naive mind wouldn't understand all that stuff about "islamization" is just politics at play. It has become so bad that even when Muslim leaders visit the President, we go "they are plotting to islamize the country", but when Christian clerics do same, we don't see anything wrong with it. SMH. |

Obasanjo is father of corruption. What he and his cronies stole from this country makes GEJ look like a saint! Why won't you have soft spot for him when your brother David mark was his torch-bearer? Well, you have the right to your opinion of his, just like I have mine. That said, news flash, I don't like David Mark for anything. So, your premise per my affection for Obj is totally flawed. LRNZH: Omenka. This is very sad but as you are aware, when there are no monitoring mechanisms in place, systems fail. Lack of leadership is what is on display here. How have you been? I couldn't agree with you more. Sometimes I wonder if corruption has become part and parcel of our very genetic materials. From top to buttom, the system reeks of incompetence and corruption. I can tell you for a fact (since I have friends who are themselves supervisors) that there is little or no monitoring of the activities of the vendors. They simply wire monies monthly into the accounts of their supervisors, effectively rendering them "impotent". The supervisors in turn does the same for their state coordinators, and the chain of palms greasing goes all the way to the top echelon! This is what has been happening, although to a lesser degree, to N-Power as well. Most people hardly report to their places of assignment and bribe the head teachers into giving them a pass. No one seems to care about the multiplier effect of their actions anymore. Very hopeless situation it appears! That said, it is a shame the president hasn't deemed it fit to make an example of some persons in his circle. I don't know if he's saving his whip for his second tenure since at that time, he'd have nothing to lose taking such decisive actions. In all honesty, I can't deny the fact I've been disappointed in some of the choices he's made and his aloofness in some instances. Naija matter dey tire person sometimes honestly. That said, been doing well, rejecting bribes, and doing what I can to see a Nigeria of my dreams. You? |

This is terrible. Even refugees deserve better. Even though the intent of the FG is germaine, the system is just crawling with saboteurs.
The coordinators shortchange the the people who do the actual cooking and serving so much so the cooks cut so much corners to make profit.
So sad. |
