If u say reorientation, i agree, but how do u want to reorientate the massive illiterates up north, esp partaining religion?
If you want to overthrow a government, count me out now and forever. That isnt what I'm talking about. And dont put words in my mouth. I said we need a moral and idealistic revolution, not an overthrow of government.

Have a nice day.

NLC, TUC, NANS, CAN, MURIC are as useless to us as the National Assembly.

Listen to the debate on Brexit in the British Parliament and you cannot but wonder if blacks offended God on some unique way.

The wickedness of our leaders appears to me, symptomatic of a greater scourge which I believe must have been wrought upon the black race by God himself.
Politics › Re: Xenophobia: FG Faults Fake Videos In Circulation, Warns Against Reprisal Attacks by omenka(m): 2:59pm On Sep 05, 2019
One of my friends is especially notorious for posting fake videos on Facebook. Dude posted a video of people jumping from a burning four storey building in Bangladesh and tagged it as current events against Nigerians in south Africa.

Don't know what they are planning to gain from creating such atmosphere of chaos.
Politics › Re: Yul Edochie: 'I Thought Our Problem Was Our Leaders Till I Joined Politics' by omenka(m): 2:50pm On Sep 05, 2019
He has a good point. But truth be told, IMO, our leaders take the best share of the blame. What we are seeing today are a precipitation of years upon years of leadership failure from the top right down to our council wards.

We need a total reorientation in this country. A moral and and idealistic revolution. And until we breach that Berlin Wall of ignorance, tribe and religion, we would but toil in vain to the very last days of our lives, yet that collective emancipation we seek will remain elusive.

Shut up.

Even our government says no Nigerian died.

If it is property lost that is your concern, please let's find you views on private Nigerians in Nigeria who lost their investments to hoodlums under the guise of protesting against xenophobia in South Africa .
Dont even have the strength to engage anyone unwilling to grow up. Lord knows I'd never reply such members on this forum ever again.

Good.

Can we now face the domestic issues plaguing our country? Enough of these threads already. We are bleeding internally but it seems we are much more interested in the superficial wounds.

How about we started preaching love and tolerance amongst ourselves?

Our collective enemies are the political elites. They are the root cause of all the problems we face as a nation today. Their greed has been our albatross as a people. They rape us daily with every single breath they take, pitch us against each other along religious and ethnic lines just to consolidate their power, and use our ignorant and illiterate brothers as canon foders for their insidious political games, the ones we call thugs.

When they come together to steal, not even the unity at the table of the Last Super can compare to their show of brotherliness.

Their greatest fear lies in our unity of purpose. The moment they sense we no longer see our tribe, religion or region as the huge faultlines available to them for exploitation whenever the need arises, that will be the day they start sitting up knowing the sun is about to set on them.

Will like to know the details of the award givers. Seems to me they are just a bunch of hustlers like a friend of mine who organized something similar, and to my greatest surprise, a national daily carried the news of the award.

I couldn't believe my eyes that day.

My prayer is that the worst tribunal sacks him so at we can come to civilization. The Governor is so primitive in wealth acquisition that the only thing I think he has fallen short to do is money rituals. He has raped the state over and over and over again

When I think of how this man has ravaged the state I come close to tears. Benue is experiencing leadership at its worst. Only the tribunal can save the state
Gime isnt winning that case. Ortom will LIKELY (barring any natural causes) complete his second term

That is the painful truth.

Civil servants are being owed 5 to 8 months salaries (with the exception of Benue state university staff ONLY) and the man trudges along as though all is well.

But it is on the same social media we expect them to speak up in condemnation of the attacks in SA. undecided

Ortom is the worst governor in the history of Nigeria
He is the worst in the history of human kind. When people mention folks like Theodore Orji, Yahaya Bello and Fayose as terrible leaders, I simply laugh at their ignorance. Ortom is worse than anything they've ever seen. The man is the SI Unit of failure.

All the man has done is acquire nearly all landed properties in the state capital and appropriate contracts to his company. The other day, documents leaked of a contract awarded to a company that is mandated to purchase plastic chairs from his company. The quotation would make you shed tears for this country.

Wait is there something I’m not getting here?? why exactly are we trying to “deal a good blow” to South African companies on our own soil because of the evil committed by hoodlums and irrational people in their home country... are we not the ones hoping the actions of few Nigerians should not be a yardstick in judging other Nigerians...
Why do we even want to hurt them economically or diplomatically..?? Our friends, family, Nigerians work in these companies... let’s be real
My brother, wetin u want make I talk again? The matter too complex honestly.

But this country sha, we should have no business being where we are as a nation today. Anytime I look at Rwanda, I shed a tear for my dear country.

Our governments have been terribly unfair to us.

Good for them.

As long as they keep it in the North, it is none of Southerners business. The idea has been rejected wholeheartedly by us down south, so whatever it is they wanna do with the Ruga project, they should, except of course we are now clamoring for the establishment of the same settlements down here.

Now, with the kind of human I understand fani to be, there's no gain saying he'd allege that those businesses are being attacked and the government of the day isnt doing anything about it simply because our brothers from the east own the biggest shares.

Truth is, we dont have the leverage needed to deal those guys a good blow at the moment. Whatever economic punishment we try to bring upon them will tell on us more than it would them.

That is the ugly truth. Diplomatically, we might hurt them, economically, i dont think so.

Being the younger brother of the past governor should deny him the RIGHT to run for the office. Let the people decide if he's good enough for them.
