Good morning ladies and gentlemen. I've always had this question tugging a my everytime I think about the numerous religions and belief systems in the world and look at the sheer number of their adherents/faithfuls. In the Bible, it has been explicitly stated that except through Christ, it is impossible to enter the kingdom of God/have eternal life. This presupposes that if one isn't born again (accepting Christ as one's Lord and Saviour) the chances of one being "saved" is totally foreclosed! Now, we know about such major religions as Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and New Age. I for one believe none is more superior to the other, but truth be told, we tend (generally speaking) to believe the only "true" path to genuine righteousness and salvation is Christ, yet all the adherents of the various faiths believe in some form of supreme being with whom we are bound to spend the "here-after" depending on how you lived your life. The question then is [b]what happens to the souls of the billions (over 3 billion) who aren't "Christians" and what happens to the billions (probably over 6billion out of a total population of 7billion) who aren't Born Again Christians?? Are their souls hell bound or is their some place else reserved for them elsewhere. Knowing some of those practising these other religions have characters only comparable to that of Angels even makes the question more important- take the lifestyle of Buddhist Monks for instance. Can one be that righteous yet still go to hell according to our doctrine?? A lot more questions beggar answers...but this is sufficient for now. Would like the pastors in the house to shed some light on this. Thanks. |
Lalasticlala, come see better wizard wen you go pray against for shush today oo! ![]() |
Well, an Aproko supporter of his must have done the photoshop. It is not a "poster". It carries no name, neither does it bear any party name or logo. But mehn, the shiit is faaaarking funny!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And to make matters worse, one Baawaa says he's "flying to his house"!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Whathaveidone:Tone down. You'd get a lengthy ban mr. |
Penisinpenisout:Anti-matter?? Haba baba, don't run faster than ya shadow na! ![]() Not even the Russians or the eggheads at CERN fully understand anti-matter yet, let alone transferring the technology. Nigeria is probably a hundred light years behind in the acquisition of anti-matter technology. ![]() |
Sunnycliff:It is just a nuclear research facility so make una relax. I'm sure most of you against the idea didn't read the article. The radioactive materials that would be handled in the facility would be too small to cause any damage- perhaps it might not even be up to 1kg, neither would it be weapons grade- so make una just chill. Nuclear technology has a lot of application in the fields of medicine, energy/power, space exploration, etc. It doesn't always have to do with weapons. It would be hugely beneficial if we developed our capacity to manage the technology. To all those already insulting the president over this, your comments demonstrate nothing but a dangerous level of ignorance by those who won't hesitate to call someone else an illiterate. ![]() |
BenBruce4Presdt:Get the hell out of my face with this cheap emotional blackmail. What the hell is wrong with you people?? Nairaland Rules/policies are simple enough even toddlers understand them: Nairaland stands against the promotion of violent secessionist ideologies. No one gives a Bleep whether you people agitate for whatever, the owner of this property says don't do it on my property. How hard is that to understand?? If you can't deal with that, find something else to do with your life and stop bugging my mentions. |
Omenka TonyeBarcanistaYou obviously wrote this in response to my thread. Saw you peeping several times but your ego wouldn't let you comment on it. ![]() Anyway, from what the crux of my post was (as quoted above in the bold portions), we are on the same page. God bless Nigeria. |
incomintop:You have such poor diction. Too bad. Can't even understand what you are trying to say. Get off my mentions jor. |
johnwizey:I even made that abundantly clear. Don't know how difficult that is to understand. |
I'd skip the pleasantries and go straight to the point. Some months back when it appeared the e-noise emanating from a particular part of the country, by some people agitation for secession from Nigeria, was reaching deafening decibels, Seun, in his wisdom, introduced a new policy on the forum, taking a timely and decisive action against those who sought to destabilise the peace and unity of this country all because they lost out in a "political gamble". Rule 9, which states in no ambiguous terms, the position of stakeholders of the forum was introduced (or reviewed) and as expected, it generated a lot of bad blood and saw some people deactivating their handle in protest- but the admin stuck to his guns as the patriotic citizen he "was", his mods went to work and we saw a steady decline in the number of pro-Biafra threads on the forum. Decorum was effectively restored. Most (if not all) of those who left in protest are back, and not just that, they are now operating several handles- some posting from all handles simultaneously from the same device with several internet browsers. As time passed, they somehow saw the futility of their course and all but abandoned it. Enter Niger Delta Avengers. (NDA) Nothing has renewed the hope of the course against which Rule 9 stands than the activities of the NDA. Since the rise of their criminal activities, we have seen a corresponding rise in pro-secessionist comments/innuendos, and to one's utmost dismay Seun and his mods appear to be at a loss as to how exactly this latest uprising on the forum should be handled. The NDA have stated clearly in one of their recent statements they want nothing short of a sovereign state of Niger Delta. Pray tell Mr Admin, what exactly is the difference between the demands of these criminals and those agitating for a sovereign state of Biafra?? As a matter of fact, is this group not even more belligerent/violent than the criminals promoting Biafra who call themselves IPOB (even though we know they may be IPOB masquerading as NDA)?? Don't you think it is high time you took decisive action against the promotion of the activities of those guys on the forum ![]() Recently, these people posted a tweet and mentioned Nairaland which implies that they are aware of what is going on on this forum. Now, Mr Admin, in war, the morale of fighters matters a lot. In fact, it could be the decider of the who emerges victorious!! These guys read comments on this forum and derive A LOT OF ENCOURAGEMENT and morale boost from those same people who protested viciously against the implementation of Rule 9. Reading those comments, don't you wonder if those people are actually fellow countrymen of yours?? Why have you chosen to fold your hands and watch this thing fester when you know what you ought to do as a citizen of this country whose best interest you profess to promote?? Are you scared of losing traffic?? How much traffic has the forum lost since Rule 9?? If anything, I'd say the traffic has increased since then going by the current number of registered members. Now, listen closely sir. No one is asking that you totally sensor all news relating to the activities of NDA- of course not!! Mainstream media publish their stories, so I see nothing wrong with your forum doing same. What I'm asking you to do is sensor comments that tend to celebrate their acts of sabotage and violence, comments that tend to encourage their highly condemnable activities. Banning such posters who make such comments and other inciting statements would deflate the burgeoning ego they derive from their sympathisers on the forum. If anyone chooses to boycott the forum for so doing, trust me Mr Seun, they'd still return in droves- it has happened before, it won't be any different this time. Nairaland has come to be the preferred leisure spot for most of us in preference to facebook, twitter and the rest of them social medium. Nigeria is the only country we've got- it is our duty to serve, protect and nurture her as best we can. Violent acts against her must be condemned and discouraged from all and sundry- we owe he that much. Remember what they say about a stitch in time... Thank you sir. Cc: Mynd44. Ccc: Modath, Fiiznation. |
LadyExcellency:I'm rather the nightmare to all you people's existence- that is why you see me even when I'm not around. ![]() Sore lot. No one gives a Bleep if you lot chose to be patriotic or not. Just keep doing what you do best- mention omenka in all your comments, whine some, then whine a little more. ![]() |
LadyExcellency:Are you ashamed of admitting you are the pained old mod kicked out because of his bigotry?? Mentioning Rose2014 to come assist you ward me off or what??Like I said, you'd be more useful taking up arms and blowing things up yourself. Your rants on nairaland is of little or no use. While at it, go back on my timeline, create a new thread, and repost ALL what I said about the ogogoro drunkard's era to show my "hypocrisy" and your "patriotism". ![]() Pained loser. Like I give a cricket's ass what you hate or like. ![]() |
MizMyColi:They are instruments used for chemical analysis. |
Ike77503:Now this is what I'm talking about!! Really interested in the ICP-MS. Got some samples that might need some analysis soon. ![]() Hope this is in naija?? |
MizMyColi:I am science itself. ![]() |
Say hellow to a late comer MizMyColi. ![]()
|
SeverusSnape:Just imagine the kid that roams around insulting everyone in sight. 25. So much for parental upbringing. ![]() Thank God I never pay attention to their rants. |
Some illiterate ghetto cowards who can't tell the difference between a trench coat and a suit would always hide behind others to throw cheeseballs at people instead of facing them directly. ![]() Once an illiterate urchin, always an illiterate urchin. ![]() |
Shame on all those ITKs who were busy insulting him on the first thread about his story, saying he's stupid and should simply have worn a jeans and t-shirt. Always stand out and not blend in if you wanna get the spotlight brothers. #StayPositive. |
1NigeriaOnlyIf:"I am neither against Buhari or in support of him" he said. Dude, accept my sincere apologies for attempting to reason with you. It will NEVER happen again. I am so so sorry. Bye... |
1NigeriaOnlyIf:I beg you in the name of God, tell me the truth, do you honestly believe 500 armed men invaded a community as reported in whichever source?? Haba!! Some people who could swear chibok was a "scam" believe this is true yet they say we play politics with everything!! PDP ruled for 16 years, we endured in the opposition, and didn't spread these kind of potentially destabilising lies. Why does it appear PDP and her supporters are willing to burn this country to the ground just to get back in 2019?? When they do, are they gonna rule over her ashes?? What manner of hatred is this?? Is this the first time someone would lose an election?? These things are just so disgusting. |
Elmuaz:What was even the sense behind converting it to golf course when NASME is there?? There's even greater security in NASME compared to that course when every tom, diick and harry could access through Court 5/Hudco Quarters. Sometimes our leaders no dey just apply commonsense. |
Eyaa. Poor Deniro. God rest your soul, amen. |
madridguy:Exactly. Haven't forgotten how they teargassed NASS members right in front of the complex as well. But I'm sure Wailing Cankerworms have very short memory and would NEVER remember those. |
