Politics › Re: How Jonathan Appointed Suspected Serial Thief To Head Radio Nig - Premium Times by omenka(m): 12:53pm On Aug 22, 2015
But as Nigeria descended so low
under Mr. Jonathan that no sin
seemed too atrocious to be brushed
aside,
Mr. Salihu, formerly Zonal
Director, Kaduna Zonal station of
Radio Nigeria, was appointed Director
General in February 2014 by the then
president.
That summarizes the personality of the mentally impaired Santa Claus.

Jonathan was nothing but a very dark evil force that held this country down in the days he held sway. Notwithstanding his presumed innocence and ignorance, the fact he excused corruption and turned the other way whenever a time came for him to take decisive action against corrupt officials when they are caught red handed with their fingers in the cookie jar betrayed the fact he not only actively participated in the plunder of our common patrimony, but also fervently encouraged it.

Nigeria saved herself a head shot by kicking his dumb asss to the curb in the last poll. There's no gainsaying what the country would have been experiencing had we not turned a new leaf.

seunmsg:

The Zonal Operations Controller, Lagos, DPR, Mrs. Chioma Njoku, in an interview with newsmen at the end of the exercise, said the affected stations would be made to pay a fine of N100,000 each.

Seriously, is this a joke or what? These stations scammed innocent Nigerians of millions everyday and all they get is a fine of N100,000. Why won't they go back to the practise if all they will get as sanction is a slap on the wrist. DPR better come up with a more severe sanction if they truly want to end the corruption associated with fuel dispensing.
Politics › Re: How Can An Article Written By One Steve Osuji Be Ascribed To Nation Newspaper? by omenka(m): 2:23pm On Aug 21, 2015
NgeneUkwenu:
It is in the newspaper of course, but it is the opinion of the contributor, and should be credited with such. It is just like taking out all the hate messages always written by Fani Kayode and attribute to any newspaper. It is very wrong, and one can be sued for it.
Lalasticlala this poster has a good point. It is incumbent on you guys as administrators of this site to separate facts from half truths. The opinion is indeed that of a contributor and is his personal opinion and not that of the editorial team of the medium.

I must say, he speaks the truth. I was hoping for a job at a new company. But after two weeks that they didn't call me, I called the office. The man told me that we were the ones asking for change, now change has come and we say there is no job. The mother company of that office is an oil and gas firm. I guess they were using illegal money to fund the new company. Now that the money is no longer coming in, they are stranded.

But if you do, you deny yourself the chance to gather useful intelligence.

For me, squeeze every single drop of intel you can from them using all means necessary (the Americans call it "enhanced interrogation), then afterwards, use them for target practice.

What part of the world is he blasting from- Himalayas or the Grand Canyon??

This man is simply one shameless old man. In a sane country, crooks like him, after their conviction, incarceration and release, would find the quietest place to hide their bald assess, but here he's been rehabilitated and granted full honours and VIP status by a man that sees a vast difference between stealing and corruption and is attracted to the sleaziest charlatans in our politicosphere.

Guess we can hardly blame him.

Nwabueze needs to shut up or provide the section of the constitution that says the president cannot go without ministers for 2 months..
Some of these elders just attract insults to themselves unnecessarily. My question is: don't military regimes have ministers?? Did it take him this long to appoint ministers when he was the HoS?? What about states where commissioners are yet to be appointed to this day, does that also reflect a military hangover amongst men that have NEVER been in the military.

This man should just respect himself.

If I were the government, this is the time to infiltrate the properties market with undercover operatives who would pose either as agents or buyers, purchase these properties and gather as much evidence about their owners as possible. Then sue their thieving and corrupt assess to hades!

Politics › Re: Nigeria Is Already Disintegrating – Soyinka by omenka(m): 2:40pm On Aug 17, 2015
Some things I read just make me wanna puke.
Soyinka, who maintained his stance on Sovereign National Conference as panacea to salvaging Nigeria from total
collapse said
The original title say he stated Nigeria is disintegrating, and in the body of the article, he proffered solutions to forestall a complete disintegration, and the op went- "soyinka calls for disintegration".

Lalasticlala, Seun, be mindful of the things you allow people spread on this forum.

hinwazaka:
The individual who you referred to in your writeup was actually more accurate than you. An investigation is done to uncover something not known, and not completely suspected. A probe on the other hand is an INVESTIGATION done with a suspicion of something having gone foul, backed by substantial evidence. An investigation is done out of protocol, while a probe is done out of necessity to reach a conclusion
The APC government has no evidence aside hearsay and unwarranted suspicion. What would suffice here is an investigation, not a probe. By issuing out the statement that a probe is been conducted on the past administration is to pass across to people that the government has substantial evidence of financial misappropriation indulged in by elements of the past administration
Though, it's government's responsibility to bring to book those who have flouted the law. It's not the only function of government. According to the understanding of public administration, government has three primary functions
* Defence
* Provision of public amenities
* Law
The government can not push it's other functions to the background, focusing on only one. One very important fact is that we are in perilious economic times. China just devalued their currency forcing pressure on developing nations like ours. This will start a currency war which coupled with hike in US interest rates will seriously affect our exporting market. Now is not the time for a wild goose chase which will gulp so much money, but produce little or nothing

PS: please refrain from putting as examples, the fictious story of a supposed foreigner rushing to a site because of PMB. Its bogus and unfounded. Let's be practical here
Just as Mynd44 said, we don't expect any less from people who supported a president that tried to differentiate stealing from corruption.

And as to the bolded, you only succeeded in exposing your crass ignorance. Who told you the contractor is a foreigner?? Even one of your staunchest PDP supporters claims to have a personal relationship with the contractor who is popularly called "Chief" and boasted the man didn't return to site for fear of Buhari but because some circumstances delayed the project. He said Chief fears no man and that Buhari would rather be scared of Chief.

Shame on you.
