Brow, please check out the price of crude during Jonathan regime and now. The landing cost was far higher during Jonathan regime and now.
Bro, the budgeted amount under Jonathan was about N380billion. Even if the landing cost doubled, we should have been looking at about N800billion but we are talking about N2trillion!! Haba, that is over 5 times the actual amount budgeted.

Make una fear God oo.
Politics › Re: We Will Make Boko Haram Beg For Peace – Nigeria’s Army Chief by omenka(m): 8:52am On Jul 20, 2015
hinwazaka:
Gen Burutai is probably not up to speed with the recent developments. The Boko Haram have changed their tactics and are now into guerilla tactics. There is absolutely no way he will defeat the Boko Haram. It seems in Nigeria we love stereotypes, we fail to notice when the game has changed. The almighty US army could never stop the spate of suicide bombings during their occupation of Iraq. With all their resources they had to slowly withdraw with their tails between their legs. Even back in the 60's/70's Vietnam war, they thought they had the upper hand till the day of the TET offensive when the American citizens watched in horror on TV the decimation of their almighty roman army. Check all of history, very rarely will you find a conventional army defeating a guerilla force. Boko Haram is here to stay and the sooner we get that into our hard skulls the better for us. With the tactics put up by the Gen, it is obvious that in 14 to 18 months he will be forced to chew His words.
What kind of trash talk is this?? Are you one of them?? I pray they stay with only you and your family.

Common everybody can write this quote and just put IBB there naaa

Get small sense naaa
Oponu, read what I wrote again. I don't care about the source. What I'm saying is APC wouldn't make such a statement that shades their leader in such bad light. So you can't attribute the quote, regardless of its source, to APC.

Are they saying Baba is over working?
That is it oo!! But it is a serious problem from the look of things. The system is overloaded and there are just two options they could follow: in the short run, they could shed the system of some load with the negative consequence of reduction in power supply. Or they could improve on the transmission capacity which could take a bit more time.

Whatever it is, we still need a lot of improvement in the power sector and I believe Baba is the right man for the job.

Wait oo, has this man commissioned any project, even a borehole, since he was sworn in?? I've not seen any such thread on the forum or read it anywhere in our dailies. It is always about him either tongue lashing APC/Buhari or eating at one greasy spoon, or buying vegetables in the market.

Ekiti people in the house, do you mind sharing what this man has done so far??

We've been enjoying un-interrupted power supply for 5 days now in this part of ikeja I live and I'm so happy for that.

But the question now is, who do I give the credit to

Goodluck jonathan or President Buhari?
Just enjoy what you have and forget about whom to credit with it. But to answer the question, the credit could go both ways: past administrations, including Jonathan's, added some infrastructure to our power sector which should translate into more power generation and supply, none of which happened. But with Buhari's emergence, due to his character as a man intolerant of corruption and incompetence, the managers of the power sector have decided to sit up, roll up their sleeves and try to impress their new Oga at the top or have their assess fired! Had jonathan been more assertive as a leader perhaps one would have witnessed same under him.

Character matters a lot in governance.

For me, it is nothing less than 20hours daily. smiley

The pressure should be sustained as far as they aren't doing anything illegal. Everyone has an elastic limit. He would cave in at some point and name his accomplices hopefully.

Politics › Re: Petrol Subsidy Hits N1.69bn Daily by omenka(m): 1:14am On Jul 20, 2015
Okay. Pardon me I didn't read the article. But from the tone of the op and knowing his political leanings, I can rightly guess the figure represents an increase from what it used to be.

A little math here wouldn't hurt I suppose.

If we are spending approximately N1.6b daily, it means we would spend N584billion by the end of the year.

Now, since this represents an upsurge, it means we must have been paying less in the past, yet Jonathan spent over N2.0trillion on the same item in 1year!!

....And they call him a hero. grin

That dude is a freaking Ali Baba!! We know who the other 40 ##ieves are. grin

I'm covered by anonymity of Nairaland and also taken extra steps to remain anonymous. I only got pissed with the likes of Nnamdi kanu and his blind followers who insult the memories of those that paid with blood.

Even the ikemba had one of his bunkers a walk from my grandfathers house where he hid on code during the war. I heard he had such bunkers all over and shuttles in-between. I've done my own independent research one on one basis with men that fought and tasted the sour taste of an unprepared war. Those three men from my family who got killed were the brightest stars back then. My old man only got lucky and escaped the commandos---the reason why I'm here now and typing this very moment.
Wow. That's one hell of a memory to keep. My condolences, belated as it may be.

I keep telling those fanning the embers of hatred and spoiling for war that they haven't the faintest idea what it involves. One wouldn't understand what a privilege it is having course to smile everyday, hang out with friends, party, eat when you wanna, make love on a sofa or a mattress, etc until they are caught up in a situation of war.

Dude is out there enjoying himself while inflaming and radicalising locals. When shiit hits the fan, he'd still be out there, thousands of miles away from the epicentre of the product of his actions while innocent and gullible men, women and children pay the ultimate price for his indiscretion.

Wish some people could just open their eyes and ears to see that they are being led to the guillotine.

She should have resigned after doing dirty jobs for GEJ. there's no way this new government will look favourable towards her.

She miscalculated and is getting served. If care is not taken she may get pushed to her death. She wasn't professional with the way she handled proceedings.

I personally will resign based on principle before it gets to this disgracing level. I feel for her and pray PMB tampers justice with mercy considering she's a woman.

Any Igboman that falls for Nnamdi kanu's tricks must have his paternity questioned. I dedicate this FTC to the spirit of my three uncles who died after they were forcefully kidnapped by Biafra commandos and conscripted to fight the civil war.
