shot ur trap: I am one of them. Just my parastatal alone has employed over 700 young men and women since the last 12months. And they pay us all above N120,000 monthly. I am not a GEJ advocate or attack dog ooYou mind telling us the parastatal for the purpose of verification? One of us just might be your coleague. #waitingpatiently |
ebucha: Armored Personnel Carriers, APCKeep bashing ur head against the wall buddy. Stop when you see a blinding white light and you see yourself levitating. Thanx. |
ChiSun27: Things like this makes me sad at all times. For goodness sake most of this women are widows, their farmlnads are being exploited by these oil companies, their social environments are used in erecting gigantic factories and yet they are not being adequately compnesated. There is no gainsaying the IOCs are partly responsible for the despoilation of their farmlands and waterways. But believe me, the biggest culprits are their sons and husbands who in a bid to make a quick buck, vandalize pipelines and 'refine' crude in those miniature refinaries scattered throughout the creeks. The oil companies know this and so does the govt, and that is why the govt can hardly flex its muscle when it comes to this issue. And what end is going half nakid intended to achieve? Make the managers of the IOCs think with their balls ![]() |
The more they try to dig her out of this one, the deeper she sinks into the mud. This is why we need a Buhari at the centre! |
You ruined the post with the second to last paragraph! It was absolutely needless. |
When the head is sick, the body suffers. For those calling on The Clueless One to 'do the needful', i put it to you you would see your great grand kids playin 'police n thief' before he would take any decision close to that! Matter of fact, i have serious doubts about the president's claims to having a Masters, let alone a PhD! |
My heart bleeds for my dear country. It is just too damn sadening what these politicians have turned our police force into. How can a police force so blatantly partisan ever be trusted to resolve any criminal case or forestall crime What this Rivers CP is doing completely runs afoul of the ethics of his profession. How does he even manage to close his eyes to sleep at night This is indeed an all time low for the Force! |
If guilty, let him face the music. And if i must add, the police are begining to sound all too political. Their telling us he drove a 'bulletproof car', and was going to join the governor in his 'private jet', are irrelevant after the facts. Of what use are these extra info? Seems like they are trying too hard to smear the gov's image. |
holyvirgin: BwahahahahahahahOn issues such as this, when people on the 'other side' post coments replete with 'happy smileys' and what not, they inadvertently convey the oposite msg. In essence, we know that this poster is doing anything but laughing and smiling right now. Cramjones is an albatros to the e-machinery of the killer party and has come to stay and i look forward to his next exposé with bated breath. |
donphilopus: Look at this newbie! They ain't important, yet, your master "retardeen" is beseeching them. You should recognize sarcasm when you see one Don. HNY. |
Celebration of mediocrity, hallmark of the nigerian people! |
akpomeme: At least you understood it... Is it a must for you to commentPity. |
Bigcake: Tinubu, am advising u to stop playing primary school politics. At ur age u shld be able to hav a proper reasoning before openning ur wide unguarded smelly mouth. Tinubu i hate ur face, it makes me develop running stomach.Imagine what a human being just typed. Smh. |
Firstly, what has this got to do with politics? Why didn't you post it in the religion section where you are most likely to get replies?? Secondly that phrase "is it a must..." sounds so "illiterate" and irritating. Simply say "must one...". U understand? |
This the kind of project that command my respect (the first one especially which the op built from recycled materials) not the military coming up bragging about the production of some useless toy, celebrating mediocrity with all the resources at their disposal. This dude right here built something from virtually nothing. He expended energy, sweat, and blood, to see this baby come alive!! May this herald a new dawn in your life as you get a much needed support to create even more fantastic stuffs that would make every well meaning Nigerian proud. Well done man. Proud of you. Applause! |
This woman has worked her way up as one of naija's biggest problems. It is enough we arent making the progress we desire. Lying about it poses double jeopardy to the people and the State. |
I pray they do!!! Anything to bring ridicule to the nest of killers is much appreciated. |
donphilopus: Enough!Refrain from descending into the gutter with them. They thrive in filth. |
Rad1cal: bros, use your brain please. Perfect response below your quoteNo, you should use your own brain. Since when did anyone give you the impression you decide which response is and isn't "perfect"?? Stay your lane, make your comment, and move the fvck on. Otherwise keep your opinion to yourself. |
I can only score someone who sat for a test. Jonathan missed the test, simple! |
Gulak thinks Jonathan as God and Jonathan thinks Lord Lugard as God. And someone else takes the mental density to another height by proclaiming Jo's wife as jesus! Talk about birds of the same feathers. |
There's no gainsaying these folks are carrying out some sort of sinister agenda with the mad rush to sell off the nation's most valuable assets. They intend to make the country their private establishment but we shall resist their plots with every ounce of energy we have. As another huge showdown approaches, I believe the masses are gonna triumph once more. Viva Nigeria. |
Lord Mecuzy: Nyben Y Echo on a Cyber Island Filled with Lobbers^^Are you guys not too old for all this ![]() Condolences prof. May you find the fortitude to bear this huge loss, amen. |
Olastep: I Love You Mr PresidentFixed. |
Never heard this man make any thought provoking remarks. He always sounds too damn basic for a president. Haba. Give us something to ruminate on for once naw!! |
Had no idea Lord Lugard was a God!! With no intent to pun, I got this queer feeling the president doesn't know when the amalgamation took place. |
God only knows what number microphones, cameras, and perhaps even bombs, would be hidden in the walls of the building. Such gifts constitute threat to homeland security but I believe our leaders only consider the financial propriety of such projects. Until we rise above this beggerly attitude of ours as a continent and do things ourselves for ourselves, the West and Asia will continually look down on us as a sub-human race. |
Arinze4eva: Nice post, it would be more impressive if you tried to explain the relationship between horsepower and torque in carsThanx man. Would look it up n get back later. |
I don't bother myself reading anything that comes from this gangster. He's an embodiment of disgrace to christiandom in Nigeria. The only danger I see ahead is him and his cohorts winding up in kirikiri maximum after 2015. Effing troglodyte. |
Just came across this interesting and enlightening article and thought to share it with you guys.
Chances are you've heard about horsepower. Just about every car ad on TV mentions it, people talking about their cars bandy the word about and even most lawn mowers have a big sticker on them to tell you the horsepower rating. But what is horsepower, and what does the horsepower rating mean in terms of performance? In this article, you'll learn exactly what horsepower is and how you can apply it to your everyday life. The term horsepower was invented by the engineer James Watt. Watt lived from 1736 to 1819 and is most famous for his work on improving the performance of steam engines. We are also reminded of him every day when we talk about 60-watt light bulbs. The story goes that Watt was working with ponies lifting coal at a coal mine, and he wanted a way to talk about the power available from one of these animals. He found that, on average, a mine pony could do 22,000 foot-pounds of work in a minute. He then increased that number by 50 percent and pegged the measurement of horsepower at 33,000 foot-pounds of work in one minute. It is that arbitrary unit of measure that has made its way down through the centuries and now appears on your car, your lawn mower, your chain saw and even in some cases your vacuum cleaner. What horsepower means is this: In Watt's judgement, one horse can do 33,000 foot-pounds of work every minute. So, imagine a horse raising coal out of a coal mine as shown above. A horse exerting 1 horsepower can raise 330 pounds of coal 100 feet in a minute, or 33 pounds of coal 1,000 feet in one minute, or 1,000 pounds 33 feet in one minute. You can make up whatever combination of feet and pounds you like. As long as the product is 33,000 foot-pounds in one minute, you have a horsepower. You can probably imagine that you would not want to load 33,000 pounds of coal in the bucket and ask the horse to move it 1 foot in a minute because the horse couldn't budge that big a load. You can probably also imagine that you would not want to put 1 pound of coal in the bucket and ask the horse to run 33,000 feet in one minute, since that translates into 375 miles per hour and horses can't run that fast. However, if you have read How a Block and Tackle Works, you know that with a block and tackle you can easily trade perceived weight for distance using an arrangement of pulleys. So you could create a block and tackle system that puts a comfortable amount of weight on the horse at a comfortable speed no matter how much weight is actually in the bucket. Horsepower can be converted into other units as well. For example: 1 horsepower is equivalent to 746 watts. So if you took a 1-horsepower horse and put it on a treadmill, it could operate a generator producing a continuous 746 watts. 1 horsepower (over the course of an hour) is equivalent to 2,545 BTU (British thermal units). If you took that 746 watts and ran it through an electric heater for an hour, it would produce 2,545 BTU (where a BTU is the amount of energy needed to raise the temperature of 1 pound of water 1 degree F). One BTU is equal to 1,055 joules, or 252 gram- calories or 0.252 food Calories. Presumably, a horse producing 1 horsepower would burn 641 Calories in one hour if it were 100-percent efficient.
Source: auto.howstuffworks.com/horsepower.htm |
