PDP created Boko Haram (according to Azazi) in order to: 1) Use it to decimate the population of the electorates sympathetic to the opposition. 2) Use it as a front to loot the country dry through the allocation of a substantial fraction of our budget to defence and the award of defence contracts running into billions of dollars, the end result of which is only evident in the bank accounts of the PDP chiefs. Everyone knows the account books of the defence ministry is never scrutinised, neither are their accounts audited! It is a safe haven for the sleaziest crooks we have in this country! These monies are eventually used to prosecute elections and ensure the killer party retains power at the centre. The $1bill loan being sought after quickly comes to mind. 3) It was created to be used as a tool to blackmail the opposition. The scourge of kidnapping would have been a lot worse than it is today had the opposition been as strong as it is in the north in the south east!! 4) It was created to be used as a tool or cover to wipe out opposition bigwigs. State agents could assassinate a party chieftain Boko Haram style, riding motorcycles and throwing a couple grenades, and the gullible general public would wave it off as just another victim of Boko Haram!! 5) Use it to distabilize the north and other opposition strongholds, with INEC in tow to declear such states unsafe for elections (Jega already hinted at that), effectively disenfranchising a horde of opposition voters, leaving mostly PDP friendly states to have elections!! The Nigerian Armed Forces have made it easier for us to believe the terrorist more then we do them! I have no doubt if Shekau comes out to claim downing the chopper tomorrow, a lot more folks would go with his narrative than they would the govt's version. What a shame. 6 Likes |

Citizen are losing their limbs and lives in great numbers daily, yet the man who swore an oath to protect them is preoccupied plotting how to eliminate state governors who seem averse to his inordinate and uncanny ambition to perpetuate himself in power! The president's actions amount to nothing but a grave violation of his contract with the people and an utter dereliction of duty! Sloan: Seun, you should evolve NL to improve its quality! You may pretend as though you don't notice: a new user makes an ID today and immediately goes to politics section, starts attacking users who have been on NL for ages, starts defending the government of the day PDP to the point of provocation, start defending every useless and annoying policy of the government, etc obviously such ID is a paid hack. I know you may care less because it is all about traffic and money for your business but the quality of your creation is nosediving - the same way Google overtook Yahoo while it kept looking for more quantity while sacrificing quality! I say implement a system where a new ID has to accumulate points say 20 points over the course of months before being able to create new topics or comment on certain posts! This way, only serious people will stay on NL and will create the type of quality content that drew people to NL in 2005 - 2007 when it started.Endorsed 1000% +23,000 likes!!! |

The Defence Headquarters has announced the arrest of a man who specializes in creating panic by sending out text messages threatening attack by Boko Haram terrorists. The suspect, Ugwu Lawrence (pictured) who was tracked by security operatives after dispatching text messages of impending bombings of some hotels in Abuja, confessed that he employed the gimmick because the management of one of the organisation failed to offer him employment. The suspect further confessed that his motive was a ploy to instil fear in the mind of the management’s chairman, and pleaded that he is actually not a terrorist. Why should simply disclosing how the govt intends to spend money it wants to secure through the guarantee of the people of the state be an issue The govt should make an unambiguous disclosure of it intended purpose jor!! I hate to see govt acting shady, be it APC or the Cankerworms!! |

I've said this time and again, when you are elected or appointed into a public office, try as much you can to do your job diligently as promised the electorates. Let your works speak for you and be your shield. Let them be the foundation upon which you stand. If you put up a good performance, no one from the opposition or the party to which you belong would have the audacity to raise a finger to your impeachment. Make the people your constituency since, after all, your powers are derived from them, rather than disparaging them. It is good to be feared as a leader, but it s equally important to be loved!! When your people love you, they would always rise to your defence when trouble comes without you even saying a single word to solicit their help!! These are the basics op politics our people always fail to understand!! Once they step into office, they tend to alienate themselves from the people from whom they derived their mandate.
