There's a 65% probability you'll get your visa. No one will reach out. They don't any more since covid season. It's down to the discretion of the officer now. Good luck and congratulations in advance.
chuksinfotech:
It say recommend interview but no one reached out to me
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Omiinii: 9:28pm On Apr 08, 2022
This reason can have other reasons under it. It's best your order your GCMS notes to be sure of the specific reasons you were denied.
Annettevoke:
Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. After careful review of your study permit
application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet
the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and
Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can
demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be
accompanied by a new processing fee

How do i address this refusal, house pls advise. Was refused today applied Feb 28th.

At least tuition for your first year, living expenses for one year($10k) flight tickets ($4k) and extra funds. This is the bare minimum.

Bona fide. What does your eligibility say? recommend pass? Recommended interview? Review required?
chuksinfotech:
Please has any of you come across this challenge?
My GCMS notes just came in and the pre-assessment reads thus:

"Based on the LOA, funds, and documents provided, PA appears to be a BF student."

What does BF mean?

And what do you think needs to be done ?

For context
I am a second time applicant, reapplied on 30 October, 2021

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Omiinii: 8:14pm On Apr 06, 2022
No they can't make that kind of enquiry. They would only verify the authenticity of your bank statements. If they are unsure of the integrity of your proof of funds they can just easily refuse such applicant.
Mbee8187:
Good evening everyone, I would like to ask if there’s a possibility that the Canadian embassy will communicate with the Bank where I have my Proof of Funds to clarify if I have the exact amount of money printed on my statement in my bank account.

The answer to your questions are within you. Firstly, why an undergrad diploma? Why not a PGD or a masters?

Litigation is the next step of approach here. We shouldn't be brain storming over broiler plate reasons. I don't know if IRCC know there a low chance of you opting for judicial review, that's why they are playing with people's application or what. Well, you said you have 11k left after sorting tuition as you're fully funded. maybe you can show more accumulated funds to like 20k and reapply explaining you have living expenses. You can do GIC or SDP to further confirm that these funds will be directed towards your living expenses in Canada If I'm to take a wild guess I know you'll rather reapply than taking Legal action which is sad as they'll keep treating us like this because they know. It is well.

Ps: I couldn't see the case notes clearly, I'm just taking your word for it.
lilangel20:
Here is what my notes says...
I am fully funded with 11,700cad left after school fees payment...

How do you think I can tackle this in my next application?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Omiinii: 1:43pm On Apr 06, 2022
See as you dey open our yansh for here now. At the bolded embarassed
DestinationCann:
Not completely right though.

What if you got PPR 5 months earlier than you intend to arrive Canada?

I'll say, have plans on refunding the money when you are about to travel
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Omiinii: 1:30pm On Apr 06, 2022
How to open GIC in canada

First you go to there website https://pay.cibc.com/ISBO/payment/#/ and create a profile.
1. You are applying for student GIC program

2. Minimum amount is $10000, you can do upto $20000 but bear in mind that this money will only be available on tranches for a period of 8 months or so.

3. Select resident country

4. Do not check the I'd like to pay in canadian dollars box

5.. you will see an amount in USD click on it and continue, that amount will be held for 20 minutes while u fill the form

6. After filling the form you will be contacted by the bank in 1-2 business days with an account number to pay into

7.. proceed to the bank and make the payment from a USD account

NOTE: payment can be only made once before you arrive to Canada. And PAYMENT MUST BE MADE FROM THE SAME NAME ACCOUNT OTHERWISE THEY WILL RETURN YOUR MONEY
promo4:
Please can you throw more light on this? How does the GIC work? Is $10k worth how much?

Also, that would be $23k which is not readily available. Only $20k is available at the moment. $26k will be available by first week of June but school resumes in September which i think is late already.

Thanks

Baba you had a medical request your PPR is 90% certain. no need to be worried.
pixzy:
Hello good people on this forum . I’m a bit worried about my situation currently

I applied Feb 2nd
Biometric feb 11th
Medical request 23rd March
Medical 30th March and updated as Passed on 1st April .

Currently I’ve paid for 1st term totaling 9,020 cad and my POF on personal account as at when I applied was 6.7m but currently my account is less than 2m. I’m worried because I don’t knw at what stage POf review is carried out . What do you guys think
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Omiinii: 8:19pm On Apr 05, 2022
Or Scenario 5: pay full tuition for first year and buy a guarantee investment certificate of $10k. And explain sources for subsequent funds if it's more than a year program.

I'm saying so because of the bolded. Your words not mine.
promo4:
Hello guys, please I need advice on how to go about this, I'm a bit worried and confused right now based on my POF.

Scenario 1

So, my tuition for 1 year is 13000cad. Living expenses is 10,000cad by default. I have 20,000cad available from my business and 200,000naira available on my salary account with good inflows too.
My first semester tuition is 7000cad.
Should I pay for my first semester tuition and do my visa application with what I have now? Or

Scenario 2
Should I wait to end of April to add more funds from my business to make it 23,000cad, Salary account to 500k, Pay for first semester tuition and then apply by first week of May?

Scenario 3

Should I just apply with the POF I have available now without paying for first semester tuition fee?

Scenario 4

Should I just defer my admission and save up at least 50,000cad to have enough money for my POF before applying again?

Thanks and appreciate your responses.

NB: My business is consistently bringing in money every month passively and I have a good salary job.

They might not even ask you bruh. Lol You must be tensed. This like the 3rd time you asking. Print a valid bank statement not more than a month old incase you're asked.
feistymikey:
Please those of use we sponsor’s statement of account? How do we prove our funds at the port of entry?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Omiinii: 4:59pm On Apr 03, 2022
They verify. Infact they can ask for updated bank statement to be sure if the money is still there. Wo infact they prefer a new verification process by asking for your MBS. That way they can see every intricacy in relation to your bank account.
I just say make I just clear you now.
Richiebay:
Hello Great People,

Please i will like to know if canada verifies bank account statement for student permit visa?

Your response will be greatly appreciated.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Omiinii: 10:18am On Apr 01, 2022
Yeah I get you. grin
eniola1010:
I dont think you or david got my point.
I mean since the vo officers dont monitor anything that happens in the account after statement of account has been submitted.

Why cant people borrow loan. Send the money to their relative. Let the relative break the money in fractions. Maybe borrow like 10m. Send the 10m 6o ur mother or first-relative. Let that ur relative break it into 1m weekly and send into ur acc.

Let the relative write gift deed and sponsor support letter. Print statement. Submit. And return the 10m.

Afterall when you have submitted your statement, he vo dont have any concern with what goes on in ur acc again, and they dont know if u still have the 10m or no t anymore.

You get me now?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Omiinii: 8:50pm On Mar 31, 2022
Because IRCC aren't looking for people that will borrow money and return. In as much your intentions may be genuine. You may not have the resources to facilitate your education. Hence, they prefer established persons. This also points to the fact why our refusal rate is so high. They know we borrow funds and do not want that. Which is understandable, nobody wants a burden
eniola1010:
Thanks david.
You have been helpful.
In respect to the last paragraph. Since the vo's dont check or monitor a bank statement after submission. Why then do people still have issues of insufficient funds or inadequate pof.

Why cant people just simply borrow money even if it means paying interest, print the statement, submit. And return the money back the moment statement has been printed.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Omiinii: 9:40am On Mar 30, 2022
Lol. No one is bribing anyone. Everyone knows that generally this process takes long. Other countries don't falter like this so your worries are valid but you shouldn't be surprised unless of course this is your first time applying to Canada. You'll get used to it. grin grin

Keep sending the webforms and emails at least it'll give you something to look forward to. When your visa lands you'll forget you've waited over 4 months.
adeyinkaadetunj:
House, I think something is going wrong at Nairobi Visa office, May be some Visa officer are collecting bribe from some agent. Why someone that submitted his or her application since November 2021 will not receive decision and someone submitted his or her application on February 2022 will receive decision,(they submitted the same application package documents)
It's worrisome, what can we do to this situation? please someone should advise.......

Hey Omiinii. I'm new here. Pleasr I'd like to know the info you have on canadian study permit. Eg. What are the requirements for applying for canadian study permit? Also does the Nigerian study express program function?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Omiinii: 11:13am On Mar 28, 2022
1.) Be truthful, if you keep information to yourself and it's discovered it's misrepresentation and you get a 5 year ban. VO's aren't career counselors or anything like that. You just have to seem like a trustworthy applicant.

2.) You can actually change career paths. The Reasonableness rests solely on your SOP, you need to make clear explanations as to why.

3.) You can use all your bank account details, add everything that helps demonstrate your financial competence. Especially since you're using 3rd party sponsors.

4.) My advice: put in a clean application, It's easier for you and the officer that way. Less loopeholes will be seen and I'm sure if packaged right you'll get your visa.
TanLiJun:
Respect authorities and Honourable Gurus,

Regards to Canadian student permit application:
I'm a public servant, but I don't want to declare my job status since my proposed course is totally different from my current job. I used WAEC to secure an admission to study automotive technology (diploma program). I used an introduction/recommendation letter from my uncle's Auto parts and tyre venture to make up study gap and job experience. In the letter, I was addressed as a technical service trainee, and two of my uncles are my sponsors.
Please, do you advice that; I use my salary account, or use another bank account statement, or just upload only my uncles' statements of account?
NB: Two of my uncles are my sponsor.

Please, deliberate over this case and air your opinion.

Thanks in advance.

Anon read the PFL. They'll specify the issue they have and with which document.
Anon123:
I have someone that received a PFL today on "Proof of funds". The applicant bank statements are genuine and was uploaded on the finance section of the visa portal but now, the applicant mistaken included a shares doc which was original in the client information section.

My question is, this PFL, is it on the bank statement or on the shares doc ?

If the later, any clue how I can advise him to remedy the situation..

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Omiinii: 8:45pm On Mar 21, 2022
It's great you asked this question and didn't do things based on your own discretion. I'd be square with you.
Be truthful, Click yes, that you've been refused US visa. The refusal from US will be a part of your assessment. I'd be lying if I told you that they just ignore it and thank God you said the truth. But that refusal would never constitute as the reason to the final decision for your CA application. As far you qualify you'll get your visa, 100%

If you Click No, and be dishonest. It goes down hill from there. At best you'll be refused. In the worst case, you'll be banned for 5 years.

Goodluck with your application. God bless.

Nuliaa:
Congrats!!!

Good day everyone. I was rejected a tourist visa to the USA and I'm currently applying for a study Visa to Canada. During the course of filling out my application form, I was asked if I have ever been rejected a visa in Canada or any country. Will saying 'yes' affect my chances of getting a Canadian study visa? Should I say no? Is there a way they track my visa denial history?

Thank you for your urgent response.

That's fishy. What supporting documents were requested? Don't you think it odd to ask you to open an account with Scotia bank? IRCC wouldn't tell an application to open a bank abroad to prove admissibility.
