Christianity EtcRe: Christianity Is Not White Mans Religion & Black Man’s Roots Are In Not In Islam by omobadan(m): 11:27am On Aug 29, 2011
Neither are a black man's religion. They're both foriegn religions. We've disown our own religion for the sake of Christianity and Islam. I'm not saying both religion have been all bad, but they've not been particularly 100% good either.
Christianity EtcRe: Is It Wrong To Have A Girlfriend? by omobadan(m): 11:21am On Aug 29, 2011
You're a 21 year old man. I understand you might be asking this question from a religious point of view. But really, do you need to be asking the world about having a girlfriend at 21? You should've gone through at least a couple by now! Sex is part of our dna, be it as a single or a married person. If your religion is getting in the way, then have a female friend. But remember the more involved you two become, the likely chance sexual tension increases. If you don't want that then stay away from girls!

Sweetnecta, do you actually believe what you just said to Pastor AIO? What makes you think the christian religion is better than the Ifa traditional belief?

PoliticsRe: If Nigeria Divides, What Happens To The Christians In The North? by omobadan(m): 11:22am On May 22, 2011
I agree with you totally, Publisher! I don't believe in all these division noise. It's understandable for people to talk about separation when they are disillussioned, but dividing the country wont change anything. All these problems are a symptoms of a failed government. This is what happens when years of neglect on the part of our leaders have resulted in the citizens behaving like animals. We should strive to make our leaders provide for our needs. Let them be accountable and maybe then can we have a good and prosperous ONE NIGERIA!

RomanceRe: As A Christian Can You Marry A Moslem by omobadan(m): 1:15pm On May 15, 2011
Listen dear, don't mind those that are saying you shouldn't go ahead with marrying the guy. I still don't know why Nigerians think everything can be sorted out with religion! Have you people look at yourselves? Marry the guy and stop worrying about what religion your children are going to practise! They've been having good marriages with couples from different religion in Naija forever! But it seem Nigerians of today just want to throw religion into everything! Their country hasn't move from A to B with all the religion they practise! Get real people! This world is bigger than your religion! Back to Wee, enjoy your relationship with your boyfriend. Respect him and he'll respect you. If you marry and he wants to take them to mosque, so be it. They're not teaching them to be armed robbers, are they? You too can take them to church with you on sunday. Your husband will even be happy because that'll mean he can stay in bed longer! smiley There's more important things to worry about than what religion your children will practise, jare! Go ahead and marry the guy!
Nairaland GeneralRe: Do Nigerians Know How To Have Fun? by omobadan(m): 2:49pm On Apr 09, 2011
Nigerians know how to have fun! What you lot consider fun and what constitute fun to the average Nigerian might be different. Someone was saying a walk in the park. How many parks do you have in Naija? There aren't many outdoor stuff for Nigerians. So, thaty's why joints are places people frequent a lot. @ Sessy2, abi o!
Christianity EtcRe: Pope John Paul Ii And Michael Jackson Found In Hell! by omobadan(m): 2:29am On Apr 09, 2011
Michael Jackson performing in hell? That must have been a hot show! grin But seriously, this hell is real heaven is real bullcrap is boring! Who gives a toss? The reason why must of you so called believers are afraid to die, is because you know subconsciously that when you die, you die! There's no heaven or hell! Now, that's just my opinion. But I bet you'll rather continue living a fulfilling life here on earth than die and then go to live in an imaginary, fable existence in some place. What the little girl saw was just vision like dreams. We all dream and we see drama unfolding in them. Ask yourselves this "How did she know what she saw was hell?"
Christianity EtcRe: How Do You Get To Heaven? by omobadan(m): 1:20am On Apr 09, 2011
It's funny how an English phrase like God/god becomes 'mine is superior to yours'! If the christians believe in one God and the muslims believe in Allah(their God), then that means there are multiple Gods! Why is that difficult to grasp? By the way, jacobscros, I don't think it has been established where we'll all go when we die. But as at 1.20am British time, when one dies, one still remain dead.
TV/MoviesRe: A New Movie Called "paradise Touch" Is Set To Change The Industry by omobadan(m): 12:45pm On Mar 29, 2011
Sorry to bust your bubbles, my friend! But this movies isn't different from any Naija movie out there! And u're making it sound like it's the best thing since slice bread!
Christianity EtcRe: Will The Gates Of Heaven Have A Sign Saying Christians Only! by omobadan(m): 3:23pm On Mar 24, 2011
I don't think it makes any sense, all these talk about heaven and hell! The people that said the only way into heaven is through Jesus, don't know what they're talking! So, the other billions that don't will probably go to hell? How do you people think? Even if you believe wholeheartedly in religious books, at least apply a bit of common sense! Just because it said that in the bible, doesn't make it the gospel truth! Don't you think statements like that were meant to deter people of those era away from worshipping other gods other than Jesus' God?
PoliticsRe: The Country Should Be Divided. by omobadan(m): 6:53pm On Mar 13, 2011
Typical Nigerians! Absence of common sense has been our greatest problem! Most of the people that want the country divided, actually think all their problems will just disappear? It wont people! We're our own problems!
Christianity EtcRe: Bakare Vs Oyedepo, Adeboye, Kumuyi by omobadan(m): 2:26am On Mar 02, 2011
It's funny! People are crucifying your men of God and all you can do is to quote the bible! These people don't give a hoot about passages from the bible! Anyway, I sorry for Naija and our attitude to religion. I sincerely hope we can wake up from our slumber! sad Nothing wrong with practising your religion, but we must understand that it will not solve all our problems!

^^^Whatever, i'll advise you to click the link and see the original post. You'll see a document signed by the devil himself then come back and tell me it's a joke.
Stop it, man! You're cracking me up! You mean you actually believe that crap? Just for argument sake, what does one gain and lose from selling one's soul to the devil? Please i'll like to know.
Christianity EtcRe: What Do Muslim Think About Jesus by omobadan(m): 12:13am On Oct 09, 2010
These religious people sef! Toba, I'm not a muslim o! I just think we're all full of it when it comes to our religious group! It's always: " Our Jesus turned Coke into Fanta!", "Prophet Mohammed said Let there be Peace in the Middle East!" You see why religion can make people do and talk nonsense sometimes? Not that other things in life don't but really I thought your religion makes you see clearly? I guess not. Isn't it time organised religion is banned sef? Maybe people will sit up! angry
PoliticsRe: Bbc2 To Air Law & Disorder In Lagos Sun, 10 Oct 2010, 21:00 (pic) by omobadan(m): 11:23pm On Oct 08, 2010
I don't think we should be too hung up on the western media conspiracy theory thing. If you turn on your camera in Nigeria especially Lagos, you'll be confronted with all these negatives. Although Lagos is now cleaning up, we still have a long way to go. We should forget what the BBC is showing and concentrate on improving our own image. We can blame them 'sometimes' for not actively seeking to portray us in a good light but believe me in media, negative reports is more exciting. We know all these bad stories about us are true but we don't like an outsider pointing it out to us. It's a natural feeling. People ask why Nigeria and not other African countries? But we're Nigeria! We're damn exciting! How many times have you seen them show South Africa? They're not exciting! But, I always say we don't have to wait for the western media to paint us lilly white, we have an obligation to do that ourselves. Our media houses are a bunch of tossers! If they know their asses from their elbows, they would be helping us look good to the outside world! Our politicians too are hopeless! We owe it to ourselves to make us look good to the world not wait for the BBC to do it for us! Thank you!
Christianity EtcRe: Jesus, Did He Have Children by omobadan(m): 2:06am On Oct 06, 2010
That might be because that was intentionally done. What we know now is not necessary the entire truth. But there's nothing we can do now! Until something concrete comes, we just have to settle for what we have now. Biko!

Christianity EtcRe: Ten People Who Sold Their Soul To The Devil. by omobadan(m): 1:22am On Oct 06, 2010
Hehehehehe!!!! It's probably a joke! grin I mean, how can you tell somebody sells a soul? No1, the notion of selling your soul, is just a phrase! It's not suppose to be taken literally! 2nd, that list is full of more holes than an Amsterdam red light district!
"Upon his death, rumors began to fly that his great intelligence – and, consequently his inventive genius – was the result of a pact with the devil."
Are you kidding me? What's wrong with you people? Can't you see this is total bullcrap?
Christianity EtcRe: Jesus, Did He Have Children by omobadan(m): 1:06am On Oct 06, 2010
OP, it's an interesting look at the life of Jesus Christ. Since some aspect of his life were omitted from the bible, it may be possible that Jesus and Mary Magdalene got married. It's all speculation but it's still possible.
LiteratureRe: Lagos And Abuja: A Tale Of Two Cities. by omobadan(m): 12:57am On Oct 06, 2010
True talk. But this is for Lagosians who see Abuja as 'ile obe' (a place awash with milk & honey)! I live in Ibadan and I like am very well. I like Lagos but I prefer the calmness and coolness of Ibadan. We might not have much but we're a peaceful and take life easy. I wish the OP well and I pray you get a better job soon!
Christianity EtcRe: What Do Muslim Think About Jesus by omobadan(m): 1:09am On Oct 04, 2010
toba:
Yea there might not be muslims when he came. But after&before his death, his messages were embraced by pple now called muslims. Im not a muslim&his messages arent for me as part of 'all mankind'. Therefore, he wasnt sent to all mankind
That means Jesus' gospel is for people that eventually became Christians? That clears that then! grin
Christianity EtcRe: What Do Muslim Think About Jesus by omobadan(m): 6:46pm On Oct 03, 2010
I see people are expecting someone to perform miracles before they can believe they are prophets! cheesy Someone was saying Mohammed wasn't sent to mankind that he was sent to muslims! But there weren't any muslims before he came! shocked
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Vs Arsenal [2 - 0] On Sunday 3rd October 2010 by omobadan(m): 6:11pm On Oct 03, 2010
Chelsea's defence was good today. Arsenal tried in the 2nd half but couldn't unluck that defence. Hopefully, Arsenal should get back on gunning for the Premiership title that has eluded them for too long.  It's gonna be a big task but the league is still young. Many games to play.
TravelRe: How Not To Get A Wife In Nigeria If You Live Abroad by omobadan(m): 12:33am On Sep 30, 2010
I know some people have had bad experiences with their relationships in the past. But the OP's guide is rather over the top. I understand some people have been shortchanged by some girls in Naija but the same can be said about Naija guys abroad doing the same to girls in Nigeria. All these 'abroad this' 'abroad that' is so tacky. Of course, we know people in Naija wanna go abroad but we shouldn't always think it's the bane of their existence. When guys want to marry in Naija, I think it's best to invest in going to Naija regularly when you've met the girl you like. There's no point planning to marry someone you only get to see once in 3 years. The OP and his 'jazz' obsession isn't making him look intelligent at all. Girls in Naija aren't zombies, they enjoy their lives and do what everyone in the world is enjoying - internet! To all that agreed with him, I guess you've had some experiences that have made you support the OP. But remember life is filled with good and bad.
