benji93:

Well i can say i now know a little about dollarization(it does not even answer the question i asked you), i stumbled across it, when trying to confirm your assertions. no currency is stable but in the long run some currencies are more stable than others, in a more scientific language, i would use the word elastic limit, some currencies are on the average more resilient than others of the pack. My friend, my speciality is not in economics, though i know a little abt it,fortunately you now sound as someone who knows much about economics, so i would like you to point me towards a particular direction, i would like you to give me a specific url source, to refer to, i have tried tried reading through some WTO documents, but no mention of the US dollar as the official legal tender. I hope i am not asking for too much.
I deliberately quoted you so as you will see this comment although I am actually talking to @tpand:what Nigeria did with China is called currency swap,if you are a manufacturing country and you wish to sell your product and keep a tight leash on your currency like the Chinese do,all you just need to do is swap currency.I want to make it as short as possible: Before now if you need to import from China you would be given a price of goods sold in yuan at the rate in dollars, then you go down to your bank and buy dollar with naira to buy your goods from China. All that is not going to be there anymore, because now CBN has yuan now so instead if buying dollars just go yo your bank, purchase yuan voila you get your goods. This will reduce the tension on naira temporarily as those bringing in goods from China won't source for dollars rather they would be looking for yuan.
In my opinion if the government want to now help naira, all we need do is get our petrol refineries working, thereby reduce the amount we use in importing refine fuel.As that is one of the reasons our reserves take a huge hit, then we go ahead to really diversify our economy we are good to go. So to answer the OP yes the price of phones coming from China (all goods) should crash as the middle currency (almighty $) has been eliminated, and you know muddle men in all business would always add their own so as "dem must chop nah".

You have succeeded in showing me an instance that actually happened in a state in the Northeast, but one confession from taraba does not mean the issue elsewhere is a BH attack masqueraded as herdsmen.
lemme school you,the issue of farmers and herdsmen has been with us for years. It is safe to say that the taraba issue was a mistaken identity.

Just see as everyone is shouting NASS.

The last time I checked, the perpetrators of such acts are major APC big wigs in the house, and also from the northern extraction, PMB's brothers and party members, my take is, why are they so bent on tarnishing his image? Why are they so bent on ridiculling him?

I also read it somewhere that PDP senators mainly from ss/se are in support of PMB's decisions of not signing the budget until everything is rectified.
if you have been following this revelation closely you would know that this addition is not new to the NASS its been a practice of both upper and lower houses, its just that the present dispensation is kicking against it so leave that talk that its an APC or northern senators thing.I laugh at SS/SE senators supporting PMB it will snow in the sahara before they do that, are they not the ones that burdened us with the present leadership of the NASS? SS/SE senators are not ready to help growth rather they want failure so that they can return to their days of looting.

what was the intention behind Fayose 's visit to China?

he must have been pained that Buhari did not take him along, so he decided to show off that he too can travel out of the country if he likes.

what he is yet to show us are the developmental programs he has in stock for Ekiti people besides distributing rice and tin tomatoes every festive season.

so Fayose , Mr olumo head, basket mouth 1 of Nigeria, we implore you to stay in your state and do the work you were voted for instead of wasting valuable tax payers' money just to go and pose being an empty podium in another country who doesn't even know you exist.
Ha why will you say he has not achieved?? a governor that feeds his people, raise money by taxing student,a table in front of your house to sell garrison attract a tax of #500,plus He has won over the hearts of most easterners intact our Igbo brothers now love us ekiti people very much now. So Buoda Ayo has great achievement's oh. The guy should be hung at kirikiri, he's a disgrace to our state known for producing proffesors, I just don't know how we got burdened with this joker, imagine posing in front of an empty podium...SMH.

NOI and GEJ had the political will to save and actually communicated that to the governors who resisted and led by Amaechi and Fashola went to the supreme court to get an order compelling the FG to share the money.Anyone who still blames GEJ after these disclosures is demented.
The definition of that phrase "political will"as used by the minister is enough to place the blame on the table of Mr former President. You may want to ask why? and the why is He did not play his politics well,as you know politics is a game,a tricky one at that and remember the buck stops at his table.
Take a look at the president, his anointed candidate for senate president and speaker of the house lost because his game was not tight. So getting your politics right would make things easier, like I said yesterday on the other thread,to rule this country one must be head strong and have a thick skin else reverse would be the case as we saw in the administration of Dr GEJ.

When the present government blame the past administration, many here would spew trash. I have said it a thousand times the immediate past government is the worst in the history of this country, even Abacha is a saint where GEJ and his cronies are concerned. I hear some blaming Amaechi and the Governors forum for going to court and asking for the ECA to be shared, please and please GEJ was the President for Christ sake, the buck stops at his table. I lost hope on the man (GEJ) the day he gave his acceptance speech when he was made acting President, the dude was shaking... I mean really shaking oh...ah I told my wife that day that a weakling has been installed as the President. If you would rule this country, you've gotta be strong headed and thick skinned if not the country would rule you as we witnessed during GEJ's tenure.

The real truth is that the military began whipping BH big time from the end of 2014 when they started taking delivery of new platforms. Buhari was handed over an almost defeated BH.
Oh silly me,I just understand you now,all you just want to say or prove is that Buhari should not take credit for all that's happening now.I am not a campaigner for anybody l am just an ordinary Nigerian that want to live in peace in my motherland.I would only advise you to stop this attitude of not seeing good where its glaring, you came up with a lot of talks and conspiracy that are practically impossible and I asked you to justify it at the end you came up with the above...I really don't know what is going on within your grey matters. At the last check we have no other country but this one we live in,I'm terribly sorry for most of our youth today as the youth are so soaked up in "hates of our fathers" few days ago I saw a replica of what is going on in NL on the street and it almost caused a big tribal conflict if not for few sensible peeps that intervened and quelled the uprising. My grandma used to say "Advise are heeded when they are needed".

Could that be the reason why no arrests are made of the "Fulani herdsmen" but people who fight back get arrested?
That's very kindergarten, they killed people but there are witnesses nah...and none said they look like kanuri everyone is saying Fulani. Don't tell me they might not be able to differentiate as some of this attacks happened in the north (Taraba being most recent). Furthermore, the modus operandi is very different, are you saying they repackagedListen the simple truth and which you seem not to want to accept is that the NA are whipping the BH big time. Please jettison this you grandiose conspiracy theory, because its practically impracticable.

To fuel the propaganda that Boko haram has been defeated.
That's theoretically possible but a near practical impossibility, reasons are the kanuri people are physiologically different from the Fulani. The BH is dominated by the kanuris and we are talking of the Fulani's here.Let's play a game,if you are to pull off such thing how would you go about it humour me.

Dude, he was handed over an almost defeated BH and APC has just only succeeded in changing Boko Haram's name to Fulani herdsmen, they are one and the same. The only difference now is that under Buhari, they've spread all over Nigeria wreaking havoc everywhere fom Agatu to Mile 12, Enugu to Taraba.
I am opened to learning, pray tell why would the government do what you just alleged. Is it to win more vote,to steal money or why because I don't seem to get why you believe so.

I am not privy to that information but what I see is what I'm saying, the issue here is BH is growing and I came here to refute that.I still maintain that the NA has done a great job in routing the BH terrorist group and they are not as strong as they were.
Gone are the days when they stroll into Maiduguri at will now they have been pummeled and reduced to the barest. These in my opinion deserves to be commended.
