More media literacy lessons required, I see.
The BBC is one amongst many publications which have reported the results of the Africa Youth Survey 2022. That's why they clearly indicate the source. Same as the FT report on food/hunger, which clearly gives the source as the UN FAO-WFP.
When one wants to query survey results, you look at things like the survey sample, methodology etc.
Were you absent the day they taught such basics in high school?
Be calming down cheesy i didn't attack you so no need to be rude to the point of sliding to vawulence we both not ready for that.

The second pic, Nigeria facing the right direction, a score of 5% only. I totally disagree

Let me guess, your source is "SIPRI" right undecided

They are just predictions or projection and will remain so. cheesy

Stargate254:
True but we also have to note that circumstances are different in every war..

In this case it was basically Russia against Nato weaponry in Ukraine... We are talking about a Ukraine that is able to resupply and replenish weaponry every month.
If this was Nato against Ukraine, The US would have detroyed all air defences and air assets of the Ukraine on week one b4 enforcing a no fly zone over Ukraine airspace thereby mainitaining complete air dominace, then they would have put a blockade on Ukraine territory against getting any kind of military help from outside. And within a month Ukraine would have run out of military supplies, and any kind of replenishment within the territory would have been intercepted and destroyed by fighter jets in a moments notice...
If it had happened in Nato sytle fashion like this, the artlicles would be writing a different story and telling us that mordern conventional wars are determined by air superiority and not artlillery or tanks.

True.

But it not about NATO support or not but lesson learnt from this war.

https://www.quora.com/What-about-the-2022-Russia-Ukraine-war-has-defied-expectations-and-conventional-wisdom-about-warfare

Look for this particular author., it a fun argument
Ukrainian TB-2 records itself being shot down by Russian SAM

The biggest victims of these revelations is the attack helicopter. We have always known them to be particularly vulnerable, but this war has shown just how vulnerable. Russians have lost a dozen or more Ka-52s, one of the most advanced attack helicopters in the world. These machines rely only flying close to treetop level to avoid detection, but this makes them vulnerable to MANPADs thanks to their speed and noise.

This is the cockpit footage of the Ka-52 that was shot down on day one of the war.

If there’s any class of equipment that this war has shown to be obsolete, it would be the attack helicopter. Its role is just better served by UAVs. The role of low altitude close air support is just too hazardous to be performed by human pilots.
Limitations on close air support means that traditional land-based artillery is still king of the battlefield. The war in the Donbas has devolved into a prolonged artillery duel, one that the Russians are winning handily thanks to their vast arsenal of tube and rocket artillery, nearly all of which is from the Soviet era.
The overarching lesson of this war is that fancy weapons don’t mean much if the other side also has them. Eventually, you will be fighting a war of attrition, one where quantity, and not quality, is the deciding factor.

Good read.

One thing I notice is how ineffective tanks have become in this war when faced with antitank platform, in fact I think tanks have no place in this century.

The drones have also proven effective in engaging the enemy from a safe distance that will safe human resources, something an AH cannot do.

But the father of them all and one thing that can't be defeated is good strategy and tactics in war.

GeneralFarouq:

The restrictions ain't fundamental,
It only to be used against terrorists (NE), where there are challenges in other regions and air assets are needed, the MI series can operate there
More Tucano in NE will free up the MIs from NE to operate in these other regions where they are needed.
And besides with time and good dialogue, these armed groups in these other regions could be classified as terrorist and hence allow the TUCs to fly there.

True..but think of a situation were there is a clash of interest with the USA and Uncle Sam decides to create a proxy labelled freedom fighters. Do you think we can still go ahead to use this A-29 aircraft?

We need to add an additional squadron of A-29 Aircrafts. It's only logical.

I think we're okay with the ones we have for now; they're performing above expectations as he stated above

We sure need another squadron but the restrictions tied to them like Odu stated makes it alarming.

When I remember the likely restrictions that came with the ones we have now def. I'd happily say we should continue with the numbers we have

My thoughts exactly! we can't afford to have an equipment that can't be use to our own satisfaction.

SNC Senior Vice President Ed Topps was on hand to represent the company, stating, “SNC is proud to help improve the security of the Nigerian people through the A-29 Super Tucano programme. The airplane is performing above expectations, thanks to the professionalism of NAF pilots and maintainers. We hope Nigeria can increase operational effectiveness by adding another squadron of A-29 aircraft as quickly as possible.”

Words from that clown, Defense News Nigeria on Twitter.

The Nigerian Navy set up an evaluation committee to persuade the federal government to purchase a Frigate for the Nigerian Navy.

There's no evidence to suggest this evaluation exercise is completed, there's also no evidence to show the Nigerian government has given approval for such purchase.

What we are sure of at this time is, the Nigerian Navy will get an additional LST to support NNS Kada.

I have never believed DNN for a second cheesy this was from a friend, but I never asked him where he got that news from.
