Thanks for this. However, (petition does not work in Nigeria as much as it works in developed Nations i.e. online petition), in addition to this, let your organization involve a lawyer, file an action against NCC and join the GSM operators as parties. Set aside a date that Multitude will besiege their offices nationwide and occupy for a whole day. I will sign the petition but that in itself cannot restrain them.

I feel for them. But these are standard practice in Nigeria. If election were holding in the other States that have regular calendar, there won't be movement. I feel Government should have alerted those who would probably think coz it is one State, no hassles. As long as you would pass through Ore or Akure via Ibadan, they have to wait till 4 pm.

Our people should know that they would not allow movement in and out of Ondo State now.

OP, I do appreciate that in Nigeria, most people call frivolously when you publish your contact information in the media. However, there are a lot of people who would call genuinely. Don't mind him. The Act, that creates CAC itself says that a lawyer must sign your CAC form 4. If you walked to a lawyer to sign that form and he says he would charge you the amount he would have charged if he was the agent doing the registration, what will you do? You keep moving until you get a lawyer who can sign for you FOC.

The Act also says Chartered Accountant, Chartered Secretaries and Lawyers are the ones empowered to register your business.

I think even asking people to come and register business by themselves is a breach of that Act by CAC which would have been sanctioned in another society.

What they ought to do is to approach the National Assembly and amend the Act first.
