You are so right.

A lot of people make single women think that something is wrong with them. That they are single because of their wrong doings of some sort.

I have an aunty that is over 40 with a child from her first marriage that met a single man of 45 that has never been married. The guy is everything she wants in a man. They will be wedding soon. Meanwhile some men would have made her feel she is used product or old newspaper.

Apparently, he was disappointed badly by a younger girl. Somehow, people do not question older single men but only attack the ladies.
That is the Nigerian society for you.

You speak a lot of sense in all your post. i love your independent thinking. I like people who challenge the bandwagon effect and try to devise their own school of thoughts that aptly suits their life. I don't believe this. But if true then APGA and APC should get ready to push out all PDP governors in the South-East to dislodge the myth that PDP has the east on lockdown. PDP needs to be buried in the South-East for good so that other parties can truly stand.
you guys should be active in politics by registering for your PVS..the point raise was not captured by you but you went ahead with the Nigerian closed mind of "we nor go gree ooo we no go gree"...without looking at the numerical component that is suppose to make The south east an attractive bride...of all the regions the in the south, south is east came last as regard PVS registration and collection...una nor go register yet how can you guys have the strength to court your way up the latter of Nigerian politics..It pained me that the VP slot might not be coming to the south east(it would be a great opportunity to position a south east candidate for presidency) put take a look at the all the disadvantage of south east to gather large vote as compared to other regions in and for campaign funding nko..it is a game of numbers at this junction my brother.

cheesy

Saraki as the face of our democracy is not power hungry.

He will sign it.

His goal is not just to rule Nigeria but to help remove a bad leader from government.
are you serious..Saraki is a corrupt politician just like the other..what did he do for Kwara state when he was Governor? that state is one of the worst state in Nigeria. The only thing you can is that he might be the necessary idiot we can use to replace Buhari who is too dull to comprehend what is going on around him not to talk of governance..since there is no credible option available for Nigerians to choose from.We need a healthy president to replace Buhari..if we are to ask for corrupt free candidate..there is non among the PDP and APC...the other small parties where we have credible Nigeria seem almost invisible to Nigerians..the thing just tire me.

Why are folks abusing him? The man said in both statements that he cannot fathom anyone being gay, meaning he is repulsed by the mere idea and continued that yet he wouldn't punish them for that except they openly declare it and rub it in the face of the law.

All he was saying was, if you are gay, kindly hide it, don't try to drag anyone else into it by being proud and openly flaunting it else the law of the land will deal with you.
My sister, thank you for this..at a time.i started wondering if Nigerians cannot read and discern information anymore without following the backwogan headlines of bloggers..it baffles me.After reading it i came to realize what he was trying to say..which is not bad..before now homos were doing their stuff behind closed doors and people pretended it they do not exist until they decided to bring it out in the open to campaign for their right..in order to be accepted for who they are..society cannot accept them but at the same time they should not flout it in the open..i understand Donald Duke. Please Nigerians should try to read news/infomation on the pages of the paper very well before jumping into conclusion this is the reason why we are easily fooled by our leaders because of this problem. It as if majority of Nigerian are shallow minded..

Most men of this generation are mentally weak and unable to handle life circumstances. Relying on weed/ alcohol, cigarettes or any kind of drug to function.

Most are lazy and not ambitious looking for easy quick money.

Not responsible, looking for a woman to help them or give them money. I don’t blame them, most were raised by women with the father absent or barely there. They don’t understand what it means to be a MAN.

Most men have poor financial management. Spend all their days on social media, betting, money on random women. It’s pitiful.

Most men never take responsibility for themselves. Always looking for one person/ thing to blame for their misfortune.

Rather be single, have a child and be happy than raise a boy into a man because his father didn’t do that job. I’m sorry.

only if you know the trauma and emotional syndrome attached. ask those who are in the situation
that being single has alot of emotinal trauma..it a myth to me.because if you are single by choice that means you have other things doing for yourself that you have always wanted..to achieve..but the others that allow family and social pressure to get to them usually fall into your category.I choose to remain single by choice not because i am looking for a man with money but Someone I will be at peace with..I have not found that person..and if I dont find him..then I would rather remain single ..forget the biological clock bla bla bla..things..I really don't care about those things..I am this kind of person that believe that i need not conceive and give birth before i can be a mother, must I?..no!..there are so many motherless children all over the place that need all love and care that they can get..if possible a mother figure....so there are so many things in this world that need our attention and contribution for the good of mankind...Marriage is not for every body.If you find love and a good and hard working person with a wonderful personality then marry but if not it is not the end of the world..one should not end up with necessary idiot and monster in sheep clothing just because society is on their neck to get married...I see marriage has one of those circle of life and not everyone will be captured in this cycle. So let the single women be please...na waooo!!

Because believe it or not, numerically there are more women than men to the extend that if all men were to marry a woman each, there will still remain basically millions of women unable to find husband cuz all the men are taken. Plus the facts that men are likely to end up in prison, more men die than women, plus all the gay men etc. Polygamy offers a solution, but we are made to think its backwards and uncivilized. So here we are, with majority of new borns being females. Makes it look like as if we are really heading towards the prophecy that a dozen women will be chasing after one man because of male scarcity. Funny enough, with all that, women are still foaming hard to get and playing games, which interestingly also contributes to more women being single because men simply are refusing to chase after the hard to get women unlike before.
they are the same..but the number of educated men and employed men limited as compared to the number of educated women that are employed...

That was well said. Some Nigerian guys think their joy stick is crested with gold and silver, so therefore we should accept all the ill mannered men with their nasty personality, who really need some growing up to do.So many of them dont know that their pleasant /terrrible personality and attitude to life have a long way in defining who they are..the hard workers that are properly brought up by good women will never come here and be hating on women. Only loosers with serious low self esteem do that..am sure they do that to make themselves feel very good with what they are.

Thank you my sister ..abeg help me tell them..Nigerian men think its all about marriage...they don't realize that that happiness and peace of mind is key..while some rather sacrifice their happiness at the alter of marriage and remain miserable while others are ready to hold on to it until they find the person whom they will be at peace with..money is not everything but its necessary in marriage. Any man that cannot take care of himself properly should not be talking about marriage..if he does then he is an irresponsible man..look at stout all over the place, especially in Lagos..they are as a result of having irresponsible parents...even the bible say that a man that cannot feed his family is worse than an infidel...

I would rather remain single and be happy with my life than marry a necessary idiot that will make my life a living hell..so many people don't even know how to smile anymore ..all in the name of societal pressure to marry. Many have lost their lives becos of what society would say if they leave their abusive marriages and the children are also there to consider too isn't it?...of what use is life if half of your lifetime is spent in constant fear and misery...is that life? I define a good life as that which is lived with good and lovely memories of a life time ..either married or single..it now boils down to the individual what they cannot live without even if it will cost them their happiness.

Before My parent died, i long for marriage so much because i wanted it to happen in their life time since they were getting old..but now nature has taken its cause , Both my parents are dead, so I don't owe society or any body any explanation of why i choose to remain single than to be married to a someone that will make my life a living hell....I choose my peace of mind..and it will never be sacrifice at the alter of societal pressure for marriage... what ever possession I have i will go to my niece and nephews..If i don't have children...So stop shaming single women with marriage..they have a right to be happy and what ever makes them happy people should respect it.

Politics › The Story Behind Olatunji Vs The Chrsit Embassy Guard by omoharry(op): 1:05pm On Aug 31, 2018
Olatunji Adedeji Odusan, was a young guy with a promising future whose life was cut short by some guards at Christ Embassy Church,Oregun. It was learnt that the guys were recruited by the Christ Embassy Church Oregun Ikeja branch as security guards during the healing school program. Olatunji the deceased was a registered guardian to a student of the healing school Mr Onyeneke, who is physically challenged and on a wheel chair. On the fateful day, 20th August 2018, Olatunji the deceased was brutalized within the church healing premises due to argument on parking at the car park. According to an eye witness, the deceased (Olatunji) we learnt explained he only wanted to pick the student who is on the wheel chair and did not intend to stay long. Unfortunately, the so called guards in brown khaki uniform who are beasts in human skin decided to beat him to the point where he sustained internal bleeding, he was however rushed by Mrs Onyeneke who is also a student with the help of the church ushers to the church clinic, the Christ Embassy church clinic rejected him due to his condition and he was rushed to Lagoon Hospitals, Ikeja with the church ambulance, Olatunji gave up the ghost even before the Doctors on duty could do major checks on him.

Olatunji’s corpse has been deposited at the LASUTH mortuary even as his parents, siblings and family and friends are grieving.

However the culprits are already apprehended and are at Panti Police Station. The family lawyer who spoke with the Chief Security Officer of the Christ Embassy Church said the case should be left for the police to handle.

The miserable part of the story is that Pastor Chris Oyakhlimes church, Christ Embassy’s church did not acknowledge it, neither did they send representatives to the deceased family nor sent their condolences.

The ambulance in pix attached was used in carrying him to Lagoon Hospital,Ikeja while other car was his own.

There should be justice, Olatunji was not a chicken and did not deserve to be treated and die just like that.

Rest in peace Olatunji.

While I abhor domestic violence in any form, I have a question or 2 about the said loan. Where did the woman borrow the money for the husband (abi horseband)? Bank, friend, relative or herself? Was the husband carried along during the loan procurement?

Some spouses are in the habit of telling their partners that the money is a loan from somewhere, whereas, it is their money. If the partner discover this, then that money is gone. Men and women alike.

Be it as it may, it shouldn't lead to physical abuse.
That is why it is called a loan...alot of Nigerians lack integrity when it comes to finances..even if the loan is from either of the parties, the person in question should know that the money must be given back to the lender. What he did is ingratitude..this is the reason why some people rather distance themselves when others have financial issues because paying back becomes a thug of war.especially men..i dont like them when it comes to the issue of money they become something else.

. I read your post and couldn't stop laughing. When we see the truth, let's say it. You may be an advocate of buhari o, I don't care. I'm neither against apc nor am I for pdp. I say things the way it is. Wait a minute, who started Lagos Ibadan expressway project, Lagos Ibadan expressway railway system, mambila hydro project, Abuja light rail, Abuja kaduna rail project, Lagos and Abuja modern airport projects, youwin programme which has produced thousands of youth entrepreneurs. My cousin who doesn't know anybody in govt was a beneficiary. How much was the security vote of the fed govt when Gej was there, compared to the 1bn usd used for same purpose but without results, how much was usd to naira as at the time Gej was in office? Gej govt had the best agric programme in the history of Nigeria. Fertiliser policy was on point I can go on and on. Though there were pockets of farmers-herders crisis when Gej was there but was properly managed. It has never been this worse. Gej would visit sites where there were crises but buhari shuned benue after their people were slaughtered as ram but could visit the neigb boring Nasarawa and asked ortom to come meet him there to resolve herders crises. Ortom would have been the most foolish governor ever lived , had he honoured the call. All his service chiefs always defy his instructions but he couldn't do anything to remove them. Mention one single achievement of the apc to me . All the projects commissioned by them since they came to power were Gej projects and most of them had attained reasonable levels of completion before apc got there. Gej achieved the aforementioned in 4 years. Tell me if boko haram is fought to finish despite the huge sum spent, the same fighter jets Gej was going to buy, which the apc was crying upon was what they voted the whopping 1bn Dollar to buy. The same shekau apc told us has been killed more than 4 times is still waxing strong. They claim they'd use part of the 1bn usd to fight insecurity. Gej said let's remove subsidy we said noooo. Apc cried foul. Now, apc came to beg us, that they'd use the money to build roads, fix our refineries, provide jobs, fight insecurity, etc and we complied, thinking they'd truly change the situation of the common man as they claimed. Amazingly, none of those mentioned was ever done and we hear they still pay subsidy. All our refineries are in a state of moribund. So sad sad They said 30k police was deployed to Ekiti for election whereas but only 6k was deployed. They pocketed money for Logistics and accommodation of remaining 24k. Part of it was used in vote buying which was condemned by the international observers who came to witness it, including the BBC. Any day the apc leaves office, their yansh too go open and we'd know who stole more. Even if the pdp was buying votes as alleged, why the apc that came under umbrella of change? Someone pls help me out here.
A well constructive argument from your part. That was well said.
