Ya..It has killed all the little hope i had to vote for the 2019 Election. Now I know that it will not be counted..APC why have you guys come to destroy something that was good.Nigerians didnt use to be interested in Voting until recently when they thought thier vote can be counted with thier PVC but since it is fast becoming a mirage then of what use making people suffer to vote only to have it rigged .Well.Let us all suffer together then..we deserve our leaders because of the way we think.

Then dedicate that time to see how you can help you community or human kind ..that is the bane of the black man..they dont think beyond their nose but only them self..this time you are suing to spill out bitterness on the internet can be use it to champion a cause that will be beneficial to young Nigerians and society..that is why the white man will continue to be better than us because we do not see beyond our nose..you life end with getting married and having children and securing a political position for yourself to steal money.. while in the western world, people that have less work to do are thinking of how life than be much better and easier for mankind to live in..You are a Honorable member of Delta state..how have you affected your community positively with the position that you have.. ? you are not honarable mr man because no Nigerian politician deserve that name honor to their name because they are the problem of the country..so why wont you have all the time to castigate women because you have all the time in you hand because there is free to take home at the end of the month.you don't deserve that name.
Shame on me!!?..if you have given birth to my age mate and you can reason like this, then I appalled that an elderly man can reason like this.I expect wisdom to come with age but I can see it has eluded you.My parents are dead, soo I own nobody and society any explanation..
So Mr honorable member of Delta state, instead of you to think of how Delta state can become the active booming place that it use to be because of the restiveness of the youth by seeing how meaningful development and peace can be restore back to the state so that companies can start operating there, you are here wasting your time making mockery of unmarried women and you self.

I am ashamed that a mediocre like you will hold such position and display your foolishness blatantly for the world to see...Now I know why we will continue to remain backward because we have your kind in the corridors of powder .You are not honorable in any way..you are just a political hustler slinging to any scrumps that falls on you table as long as you continue to be loyal to who ever you call oga.
If you are married then I feel sorry for your wife because its only a man that have no regard for women that would come here and exhibit that.I dont envy her at all.Bye Mr Dis-honorable

Awol1:
PDP should really not stretch their luck too far by denying SE the VP slot.

We deserve by loyalty, reparation for marginalisation, etc,

anything short might not be palatable for PDP.
Loyalty is is one thing and the voting strength and financial support of that region is another thing to be put into consideration..how come you guys did not mobilized your people from the South East to register and collect their PVC for the upcoming 2019 election before now?..among all the regions, South East are the lowest as regard to PVC registration and collection..Politic is a game of numbers..and alot of people are putting money into this game for victory...nobody would like to gamble with their money when the know they cannot get good result from there. How do they intend to win if the south east cannot even carry much weight like their counterpart from the south West and south south?..you guys should stop all these threat and begin to mobilize your people about the power if their PVC..let them leave their store for some time and face this exercise just like other regions have been doing.

Secondly, I believe your people are not so interested in Nigeria politic, because majority of them want BIAFRA..They are very passionate about their cause and least interested in politics..I dont know why you people talk from both side of your mouth..try and stick to one cause and let people know where you stand for real...your people cannot be struggling for BIAFRA with so much passion and the same time be giving threat for VP position...What do you guys really want..?.Your people are not really interested in politics because they have another cause they are passionately fighting for which command so many crowed and as such they care less about registering for their PVC.
Now they want the VC position to just drop on their lap just like that...what are you guys bringing on board?..what is your voting strength from the South East..and the bigwigs that can pull off the campaign when the time come?I know you people are scattered across the country but politics does not work like that..they calculate votes according to state/regions and assume the indigenes of that state made it happen.

Mind you I am a BIAFRA sympathizer and believe the Igbos' should be allowed to go if they need to, without any prejudice .But you guys Should to choose one..either to continue to Fight for your BIAFRA and care less about Nigerian politics or You care more about becoming very relevant in politics by channeling that same energy toward ensuring your region becomes a formidable area to be reckon with as regard to voting strength and financial support for political campaign.

Atleast the other looters used the funds to build Nigerian successful businesses for a start I know atiku has been running Intel for over 25yrs and guess what? He didn't build it in the north. He is the only northerners I know that set up a major biz in the south. The rest also have businesses theyve ran in various capacities.......errrmmmm buhari was a minister of petroleum when 2.8 million got missing in 1978 and in 1983 he was head of state plus ptf chairman YET he can't boast of one share he bought tlkless of a business hes managed. And you magically think he can run a country. Atleast make una use common sense naw.
Do you know what..Due to the fact that majority of APC supporters are blind to the hardship, killings and unfair treatment toward some section of this country.then .I pray APC wins again so we will all be ready for a show down of hardship part 2..

And you believe Buhari, a Fulani man will actually give you guys the presidental ticked come ticket come 2023....well why dont he start that by dropiinf osibanjo and picking a candidate from the south east for a start.hahaha!!..nor worry, na wetin happen to Tinubu after the election go happen to the South East if they believe they can trust APC/Buhari for 2023 presidency..APC that lack integrity..have they ever done anything they promised to do?

Last year during the 2015 election Buhari wore the Igbo full attire and traveled to the South east region just to get their vote then after that what happened..his government was only for his northern people and treated the general south with so much disdain..trust APC and Buhari at your peril.APC is a deceitful party..just like PDP but thier own is worse because they are hypocrites..

Every ethnic group in this country is selfish and it is the reason for our continuous downfall..the Yoruba man does not care what happens to the Igbo man as long as he does not affect his tribe ..so is the Igbo man not interested in the kind of person they vote in as long as it will give them the opportunity to touch the seat of power.. Is it the Hausa/Fulani man who does not care if all other Nigerians are unjustly treated as long as they are the ones benefiting from the government and silence becomes their watch words..selfishness and self-centeredness is what will finally crumble this entity called Nigeria and the people within it.

Restructuring means different things to different people and will never solve the problems of Nigerians, because we already have a welfare mentality.
On Regionalism, you have not answered who determines what and where. Why should I allow someone else determine who and who I am to share a region with based on tribe , language and culture and not geographic proximity.
The problem we have in this country is not borders but mentality, when we are ready to do the right thing we will get it right.

Nigeria can only move forward when we reengineer our mentality and stop acting subconsciously, The leaders are the product of the society and that will not change with regionalism,
Let's think of making better Nigerians first.
Oga the present system sulks...you want me to start telling you how restructuring will work..? really?..please go back to all the conferences that have be held in the past and you will find fantastic ideas of how Nigeria be restructured and even a break down of it was in the last concluded conference..even if it need some amendment..it shows how we can come out of the hell hole you and your peopel still consider as normal thing..it is only a northerner than will say what you just said.."Restructuring means different things to different people and will never solve the problems of Nigerians".. let every federating region start controlling their resources and manage their affairs such as power, security, health, education etc.. then pay some percentage to the federal govt..the purpose is to reduce the power at the center which is not effective...it breed laziness..state governors do not think of any other ways to generate IGR than to wait for monthly handout year in year out without any vision and purpose in life for the people of their state..security nko..we go wait for Buhari to give a nod before IG of police can heed to the call of the governor in his troubled state.by then, terrible damaged must have happened.while the perpetrators are left off the hook.yet you are telling me restructuring means different things to different people..you know all these things but you are just pretending and following the backwagon of your kinsmen...who don have the interested of the masses..and would rather they remain uneducated, ignorant and poor..in their life time...
Oga. weither you guys like it or not..it will happen and when it does..if your people feel you dont want to restructure then you can join your brothers in the Sahel regions...because the south really need to move forward and we do not want people that do not understand us to pull us back.hiding your head in the sand all the time when development issue are on ground is not smart at all..that is what you guys do.

And who or what defines those regions.
I hope you know that there is a huge divide between geographic regions and geopolitical regions.
What similarities does an Ogoja man have to be in the same region with an Itsekiri man, when he is closer to an ebonyi man.
Same with an Idoma man and someone from Niger state when he is closer to an Enugu man.
Deal with it , we have states now, what we should be talking about is more responsibilities to the local governments and councils, not another mega monster in the name of regions.
You mean , we should rather be talking about deep federalism where every state will handle their affairs just like they governors are doing...while the local government will be given more task and autonomy because they are closer to the people.Well it is part of the restructuring we are talking about ..the present system of Nigerian can never work like ..every region need to have a sense of belonging to the project called Nigeria..and by doing that..their interest, yearnings and aspirations must be put into consideration.Regionalism is the way to go..when that time comes for boundary issue then the district have a choice to choice which region they feel most comfortable with to merge with. Why dont you think about the advantage of restructuring over the disadvantage..everything in life has it good and bad side..

we are not separating..every state in Nigeria know belong to a particular region....so what are you talking about?I am sure when you are traveling, you must have known when you are about entering a new state and when living that state...right?.so all these various state belong to these six regions..therefore, these regions, will be the bedrock upon which the restructuring can be best practiced..

mandarin:
I've always been an advocate of regionalism in which the current geopolitical zones will form the foundation. I advocate for ten regions which will function as federating autonomous states and a unicamera parliament in Abuja led by a Prime Minister elected by Parliamentarians.
With the exception of Southern Kaduna, all states in Northwest can form a region and evolve internal structures for themselves, fix their headquarter wherever and engage in their own form of developmental programs.

The Northeast can also involve into a state with head quater wherever and emerge as their own economic force.

The Northcentral can emerge as two to cover all the minorities, the western and eastern areas of the north central including southern kaduna.

The southwest and come Yoruba kinsmen in Kogi, kwara and Akoko Edo, itsekiri can evolve as one region/state too.

The southeast states and igbo kinsmen willing in the south south can evolve into a region just like the Bendel region of Edo and Delta while the rest of Niger Delta can also be a region.

I believe this is one of the critical keys to political and socioeconomic growth of Nigeria.
The six region is ok..it will cause less tension and confusion as you have suggested.let each region handle it affairs and design a mechanism where governance will be transparent to the people they govern..every ethnic within that region must have a chance to be voted for ..so the issue zoning is key in regionalism so that other ethnic minority do not get short changed.the six regional regions is ok.

Julivas:
If Nigeria restructured into provinces -
1) Northern Province
2) Middle Belt Province
3) Oduduwa Province
4) Eastern Province
5) Niger Delta Province (Atlantic)
Then Central Government at FCT.

10 positive things that would happen within 5 years
(primarily due to inter-province competition)

1. The first province to experience economic explosion would obviously be the Western Province. The Oduduwua Master plan will be revealed. There would be trans-regional 4g internet fiber connection/rail/subways/highways/power grids etc. Yoruba will become the 2nd official language. They are relatively united. They have oil. They own academia. They have mega corporations. The WP would be the first to have stable 24/7 power supply! Foreign money will flood the province. More Forbes recognized billionaires will arise. Some of them will be internet billionaires. Lagos will be relieved a little from overpopulation as railway lines from other states will make living elsewhere and working in Lagos a breeze.

2. The Northern Province will have stronger islamic laws. Sharia will be entrenched and this will make the NP become the least corrupt province. The middle east (Arab) nations will move in to partner with them, bringing major development. Jaiz bank and Unity Bank will become mega banks. Arabic and Hausa will compete with English for dominance in schools. This province will generate more solar power than any other province. After the west, this province will be the 2nd to have 24/7 electricity. They will start exporting food as a major revenue generator.

3. The Middle Belt Province will have a development conference. Focus will be given to solid minerals development/
exports, tourism development and food production/exports. This will become a food hub in West Africa. They will export more food than any other province. Mega mining and food corporations will arise. This province will have foreign inflows through tourism development greater than any other province. It will host the most beautiful places to live in Nigeria.

4. The Eastern Province will transform into the Auto Industry Hub of Africa. Indigenous manufacturing of vehicles that will start competing with foreign vehicles will commence in earnest. This will grow to manufacturing of airplanes, helicopters, tractors, cranes, heavy duty construction equipment etc. Forbes recognised billionaires living in Anambra will arise. The Biafra agitation will fizzle out since formation of the EP will be seen as a Biafra success in another form. There would be so much development that villages (as we currently know them) will quickly cease to exist. This province will be the first to semi-urbanize all their rural areas as all the Igbos living abroad will rush back to take advantage of the changes.

5. The Atlantic Province will take the Uyo blueprint and run with it. An abundance of oil wealth and opening up of major sea ports at Rivers and Uyo will enable this region to revamp their infrastructure quickly. There will be more monorails here than anywhere else. This will be the 3rd province to achieve 24/7 electricity generation in Nigeria (mainly from gas turbine technology).

6. With provincial indigenous security forces in control, kidnapping, Armed robbery, Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen and the Niger delta militancy attacks will all fizzle out. Nigeria will become the most secure and peaceful African nation; thus attracting more foreigners.

7. Each Province will have their own airline professionally managed. And with better roads/rail, air and land transport costs will crash.

8. With the rapid development occurring all over, Nigerias GDP will shoot up. Obtaining visas to travel out will become easy as more people will want to come in than go out. A worldwide immigration into Nigeria will commence, as Nigerians living abroad will be struggling with foreigners to enter the country. ''Nigeria will become the most desirable Nation to live in".

9. The central government at the FCT will become smaller and less powerful. There will be a mini-exodus from Abuja to the provinces as the action is now elsewhere. The outskirts of Abuja will no longer be heavily overpopulated. Abuja will become awesome again.

10. The 10th positive thing that would quickly happen positive idea.

Pls share for the sensitization of the benefits of Restructuring.

Nigeria must flourish again.

*Copied from another platform, but I think it is a brilliant submission* .
