Yoruba set the pace.

Some call us cowards but we always take the bull by the horn when it matters
what pace are you guys setting? Is it by supporting a fanatic & failure into power ? This stupid man that brought in this disaster on us becos of his stupid ambition, is the one that is setting the pace ? What stupid pace ? A Pace of failure and retrogression ? Of national hunger and increased insecurity all around us ? A pace that has necessitated the creation of regional security outfit across the country due to the kind of leader that you guys stupidly voted for ?What stupid pace are you guys setting ? You follow old and stupid politicians blindly becos you guys cannot think for yourselves , then tomorrow you will come online and start complaining of how you made a mistake of voting in a fool into power and lamenting why the country is not moving forward. Just becos our youth have become so stupid in always supporting old & sick people into power . What pace are you guys setting ? Keep living in your self dilution.

The truth is simple, back then our mothers suffered lots of injustices. Back then our women had no say and many had to abndon anything called career or goals just for the family. Back then as a girl, you only hope for two things, marriage and children.

Nowadays women want more! Civilization has shown them that they too can be presidents, CEOs and so on. Women have also seen the calamity that comes from depending on men for their continued existence. Gone are the days of of the king regins supreme, nowadays it is all hail the king as long as the queen is pleased!

In conclusion, adapting is key! Men who do not adapt will end up divorcing more than once same goes for women, true wisdom comes when you realize marriage is very similar to a business contract, everyone must play their part or the contract is null and void!
You are right .
Family › Re: Why Aren't Today's Marriages Lasting Like Those Of Our Parents And Forefathers? by omoharry(f): 6:41pm On Jan 12, 2021
staga:
Primary reason is a failure to adapt to the changing roles of the woman in a home. That's number one. Yes, women now work, but everyone should remember and perform their primary roles at home. Men are the breadwinners, women are the homemakers. Anything done outside these primary roles is supposed to be in an assistance/secondary role. Women should not be the ones bearing the burden of providing for the family. They can only assist where necessary to complement the man who should be pulling his own weight. Likewise, a man can assist with shopping and cooking once in a while, but it is not his primary duty.

Number two: pressure from the world to conform to the world's standards.

Number three: abandonment of Godly principles for marriage.
of all the comment so far ,I agree with yours 100%

Lolz, just look at the impunity they are exhibiting. You mean they now go about forming vigilantes in another man's land? They go all the way from the North to form vigilantes in Yoruba land, now the question is, would they tolerate it if Yorubas should form vigilantes in places like Kano, Katsina or Sokoto and arm them too?!

I really don't understand what they take others for, slaves??
why are you blaming them?Didnt you read where he said they were invited to help out with vigilante work in that community ? Now the question you should asking is who invited them to help out to secure that community .sone of your chief that are Muslims are complicit in this fulani saga.

shocked

My God will punish this boy's mother.

I can't believe a woman will be heartless enough to abandon her own baby with her husband and his new wife just to frustrate his new home.

It is the height of wickedness to put the liability of your child on a woman whose only crime was to assist you in nurturing your husband.

In civilized climes, she will be arrested for neglect.
Women must get this right.
A child is first and foremost the responsibility of the woman who bore him and not the man who scored him.

It's a shame; our world will only be a better place when women learn to share preek in peace.
I really don't want to stereotype here but Delta mothers are known to be detached from their children . There were so many cares of women leaving thier children behind to get a better life .This is not to say that we don't have loving mothers from that same state, who are ready to go the extra miles in providing all the care that a child need from a caring mother .Such a cute little helpless baby .May Karma visit the three of both .

But seriously, I speak based on my experience!! I live in Kaduna state and I'm neither a northerner or muslim, it's important to state that el rufai is one of the best gov in Nigeria based on infrastructural developments!! Most of you might say he's a fanatic and a bigot but this man doesn't care about anyone whether Hausa or Christian, presently he has demolished over 5 major markets in the state from which his people (Hausa) majorly feed from. One of the woes of his gov is this banditry and kidnapping, that has single handedly destroyed every other thing he has done for this state.
Also, el rufai is sturborn, he doesn't listen to anyone, I'm sure the advices are just there as appointees and nothing else and he doesn't really care what the people will go through from whatever policy he's making but if we base performance in structure, advancement, roads and educational policies, el rufai is the best both in the north and Nigeria
Quite an objective comments. You are right . I don't like him becos of his fanatism and blind loyalty toward his murdereous Fulani people .. he is just like Pre Buhari. Is like there is a blood covenant among the fulanis' not to persecute any of their murdereous kin, even when they are known to be on the wrong side of the law .

Please oo, what's the essence of scaling and polishing??
My babe have been disturbing for that
It cleans & polish your teeth to remove hardened dirt and stains that your tooth brush cannot take out . Scaling and polishing helps to prevent tooth decay and other complications caused by cavity in the teeth . If you do scale & polish every six month, you will never have any issues with tooth cavity that will eventually lead to tooth extraction and other dental complications .

the fault is from the patient and not doctor. you well see a person having toothache and you won't go to the hospital to know what is happening and you will prefer using fuel or going to iyanoba market to meet aboki and the aboki will tell you that it's worm that is there, he will give you something to apply so that the worm will die. after a year or two the crown of the tooth us already gone. so how will the RCT work. just answer this question op
Dont mind them .So many of them talking rubbish will never go for scaling & polishing even if the price is as low as N2000.They would rather use that money to buy beer.
Secondly how many of them have the money for a RCT anyway , aside from those that have insurance in which most do not cover such treatment .If they tell them the price, dem go they talk another thing .I am not a dentist but I work in a Dental health organization and I know how Nigerians reason .

Too simplistic and very untrue. Many Nigerian men go abroad on study or professional work visas, work hard without marrying white women for papers, and come back home to marry because they realise that akata girls have little value marriage-wise. Some genuinely want to marry akata girls when they start dating them, but their eyes quickly open; it's not like they deliberately go around breaking hearts. About the only thing you're right on is the dog-eat-dog mentality of Nigerian girls once they get their papers abroad and start to understand the powers that Western governments mistakenly give them. They become something else.

But marrying akata girls is not the solution. Like their white counterparts, they are wayward and divorce prone; ending up with all the man's wealth at the end of the day. No. The solution is to marry home based Nigerian girls, but never to relocate your family abroad until your children are at least at college level. Personally, I cannot let my kids out of Nigeria except on the occasional holidays; until they get to post grad at the minimum. For me personally, relocating anywhere is a no no. Nigeria is good enough for me. I hate stress.
Nigeria is good for you ? You must be living comfortably here

I just dey laugh at all these men on nairaland and thier dismay over paternity fraud that is the talk of the town in recent times . Everbody is talking about conducting DNA on your children and the right to know if their children are actually theirs or not .. It's a welcome development in the right direction, if they can conduct a DNA on all thier children, at least it will give them peace of mind

However, how do these guys in question know if they are their fathers children ? These Nonsence of infidelity and men having to raise children that are not thiers, have been on for a very long time ..shameless but it it's the truth .I dare all the guys here on nairaland to do a DNA test on themselves with your dad and see how many are really thier fathers children . Infact 60%of you guys will be shocked in disbelief of what your moms did and the deep secret they have all been keeping .
Majority of maternal ancestors , great grandmothers , grandmothers and mothers are all guilty of this shameful act..
So many families bearing thier family names actually do not share thesame bloodline with the people they call family and kinsmen ..I dare all the men here on nairaland , twitter & instagram to just try & carry out a DNA test to see if this practice is only with this present generation of women .
Women have been doing stuff like this since ancient times and many took them to thier graves . So many ancient bloodline and dynasty were all on false pretense . It's a very sad practice by women that must stop .Now if you do a DNA and find out that you are not your fathers child ,what will you do to you mom?

pray you don't fall victim of such calamity .Its not easy to just walk away like that without a heart-ach.
Imagine having three children and your favorite son or daughter, who happens to be the brightest , most intelligent and well mannered of all your other children, turns out not to be your child after conducting a DNA . It's even worse when he or she is grown .How do you walk out of such calamity, without a massive heart break ?
It's easy to walk away, when you are not the one wearing the shoe. DNA for all children should be done , so as to avoid things like this .

MelesZenawi:
Sometimes one really need to agree with Muric and at this one he is right..

State with high population of Muslims say atleast 35% deserves sharia court to be dispensing Justice in accordance with Islamic norms..

A true Muslim must abide by the tenets and teachings of islam , more reason the sharia courts needs to be there to guide them .

Akintola is right in this one
If this sharia law will also be applied to the rich Muslim as well as Muslim politicians, then no wahala ..Becos what I have observed is that, the sharia law is only carried out on the poor and the rich are allowed to be tried under the general law..that is if they do not buy their way out of their crime entirely .
Secondly ,those people whose arms and limbs have been cut off due to this barbaric law - what plans do the advocate of sharia law have for them ?Are there any welfare parkages for them ? If they can provide a long term plan on how these people can live without constituting a nudisance to our society, then they can restrict it to any stupid south Western state that will allow it. But do they really have such welfare parkage? Definately not ..what a law.
This country is already plagued with people in extreme poverty and hunger and some of them are migrating in large numbers to the south - Constituting a nuisance to our society .Nigeria cannot even cater for this already large population of beggers and the handicaps on the street and this fool is thinking of adding more to the already lingering problems that Nigeria is battling with .
Why is country cursed with stupid and fanatics- that only reason from thier anus ? Looking around us, all we see are poverty ravage northerners that are all over the place, begging for arms . This fool cannot even think of how these menace can be reduced, rather he is asking for an archaic law that is bias between the rich and the poor ..Sharia law is a charm in Nigeria and those advocating for it are bloody hypocrites . If not, by now we would not have corrupt northern politicians that are still walking freely, such as Ganduje the present Gov of Kano abd others .
To our south west Muslim brothers and sisters, you guys should be careful with people you wish to align yourself with, all in the make of religion ..Nigerians are hypocrites when it comes to religion .

Those of u saying water, have u forgotten that fecal matter will remain on ur hands afterwards

Have u ever done a thorough microbial analysis of that hand to see what remains on it.

Salmonella and other bacteria which are found in poop cannot be well washed away with water only, unless maybe with soap and water.

How many of those of u saying water do wash their hands with soap and water afterwards. Or do u just rinse with water? Gross.

Imagine the amount of poop that will remain in ur nails, hidden away. Gosh. Imagine those men and women with nails. Shit will remain there, no mater how u wash those hands

I feel it's more hygienic to use tissue. Then when u shower, u use soap and water to wash off any fecal mater remaining on ur anus. That is why my routine once i wake up is to poop, then shower. I hate people who poop during the day, worse in office and when travelling.
To the bolded. Are you for real ? Are you telling me that you have never had an unexpected bowel movement during the day in your life , excepts only in the morning before taking your bath ? You have never had an unexpected diarrhoea before ?
Pls be real ..we are human and not robot that is program to poo only when we choose to.
