Thanks for the charge!

tunlex01:

The choice is yours. Whatever you decide, just remember these things:

1. time waits for no one in the theory of migration, especially with this unprecedented Covid19 pandemic and its effect on Australia migration statistics
2. there are thousands of people ready and waiting to launch a nomination application in July when the new year starts. Ask people who missed out in July last year their experience.

Best of luck mate.

Any one take on this

omoluabiade:
Is it advisable to start the process (assessment and English exam) now or wait for another year to begin (June/July)? Mainly due to review of demanded occupation list.

Okay. Thanks for this. Is it possible to include a degree without assessing it? Or is VETASSESS only to assess qualification against work experience? Is it also possible to assess just the highest qualification (MSc)?

tunlex01:
@omoluabiade, on a second thought, id advise you use your Bsc and MSc only for assessment with Vetassess. Add your PhD when you are lodging EOI. Save your stress Vetassess inconsistencies in that aspect.
Travel / Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by omoluabiade: 9:18pm On Apr 14, 2020
Yeah, very clear. Thanks

TIA - Thanks In Advance

ajayidebo:
ITA not TIA. For 189, all you need to do after assessment and English test is to complete the EOI ("general pool"wink and wait for ITA. It's not attached to any state.

The reason why you have to apply via each states for 190 and 491 after completing EOI is because you need them to award you 5 & 15 points respectively. Until that's approved by the state, you can't receive ITA. I hope my explanation is clear enough.

Travel / Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by omoluabiade: 4:43pm On Apr 14, 2020
Smiles. Thanks.
It seems 190 and 491 are state/region nomination, what about 189? After assessment, is there a general pool or we have to apply through regions? What the essence of skillselect? Excuse my ignorance
TIA

tunlex01:

Correct. you seem to have read more on this...good on you and best of luck.
Travel / Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by omoluabiade: 11:51pm On Apr 11, 2020
Loads of thanks. Already looking at PTE-A to get as much point as we can.
Spouse: MBA 2012 Obafemi Awolowo University
Worked as a sales representative/marketer for a while, now runs his own business. I think he falls within market specialist. We intend claiming English points alone.

If I get this process correctly, 491 and 190 automatically gives 15 and 5 points, respectively.

Thanks for the PhD clarification too.

tunlex01:

You have a good point however you need to rewrite English.

Phd is 20 points, Experience will give you about 15 points as well.

You did not give details of your spouse's full educational profile and experience
Travel / Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by omoluabiade: 8:17pm On Apr 10, 2020
Thanks for the response. I do appreciate the information sheet.
Firstly I tried stimulating the overall points I had around 65 even with the 0 points for language. Don't know if I miscalculated. Will read more on PTE-A.
MSc, PhD Food Science and lecture Food Science and related courses. I think i should be able to use the PhD, the degree is mostly obtained on the job shouldn't be a big deal.
Thanks so much

ajayidebo:
Your profile is good. The next step is to do assessment and in your case, write anoth

What's the course of study for your MSc and perusal. Please go through it thoroughly. What I can't advice is whether your should use your MSc so that you can gain more points in experience, or use your PhD for higher points in qualifications. @tunlex01 will assist you with any The English test alone will give you extra 5 points. If he can do assessment for his occupation, you'll get 10 points in total.

Paid four times ke! Once you make an initial payment you can rewrite as many times as possible. grin grin grin

On a lighter note. Fear not and take it a day after the other. Start the ECA process while preparing for IELTS. For IELTS get all the help you need. All the best

smartkester:
Everything is becoming scary here. Please i see people saying they wrote IELTS 4times. Does it mean they paid 75k four times. What's the fate of those that aren't gainfully employed on this express entry because everything is a factor of money. Please some one should clarify these things for me

Get an affidavit. Stating the correct age

kemtybemty:
Dear All,

Trust you are having a good day. I have been reading up a lot about the Express Entry from here and would like to seek your advice.

My husband, who is not the PA, has a mistake on his WAEC result. Instead of Feb 4, it is showing June 25 but it is the same year. We have gone to WAEC office and he was told that the possibility of it being rectified is slim because it has been over 17 years. I am confused as to proceeding with his WES evaluation and the EE profile when we create one.

What should we do?

Thank you for your help.

Brother and his wife and state both names in full. The sample is a draft, you can modify a little to suit you

Please help o
We got a gift of pof from my brother in law. I am the primary applicant. While making the gift deed based on the attached sample, am I to write relationship of recipient as sister in law or brother and his wife? I don't want to make silly mistake.

You can choose to evaluate your highest degree alone but eventually you may have to evaluate you BSc. So it's up to you to do so now or later. If you want something quick, cheaper and stressless do your MSc alone cos of OAU transcript and WAEC wahala

No idea but you can try to Google WES contact us.

Joast13:
A happy new month to everyone here. I just decided to commence my EE journey and I need answers to some questions. I have a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation (occupational therapy) from Nigeria and a Master of science (occupational therapy) from South Africa.

For now, my query is this: if I am evaluating a master's degree (from South Africa), do I still need to send my Bachelor's degree certificate and transcript (from Obafemi Awolowo University) with WAEC certificate to WES for ECA?

Also, I would appreciate if anyone could furnish me with the email address of WES as I couldn't get it on their website.

Thanks in advance

Lol. Thanks. God help us

hipstar2:

Adding spouse post AOR... not so sure. Try to help your spouse do his/her ECA then continue your EE process as unaccompanied. Let him/her know post ITA that the ‘soup don almost don oh’. If he’s interested, quickly register for IELTS and pray that his score will just enough. If not, pls go ahead. He’ll come around... I pray.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by omoluabiade: 6:34pm On May 21, 2019
Many thanks for this

OlumisiI:
If you chande from spouse not accompanying to accompanying after AOR, your CRS will be calculated with all the information that existed as at the time you got ITA so if your spouse's IELTS/ECA is dated after that time, it will most likely not be taken info consideration.

Start doing the things you can do on your part and try your best to convince your spouse. Another option is to do spousal sponsorship after you get to Canada but "na long thing".

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by omoluabiade: 6:33pm On May 21, 2019
Quite a number of people. Most ECA bodies have a confirmation sheet that gets filled and sent directly from the awarding institution. Check the websites, well detailed and self explanatory.

Oopsy:
Good day people, has anyone seen or heard of a Ph.D holder who has successfully done ECA? If yes, which institution was used and what documents can one send? Cos I learnt there are no transcript as there is no exam, just research work... and then the certificate.

Any one with any info on this should assist urgently.
Thanks.

A million thanks. That was the same I saw and dated jan 2019 I think. What if they write IELTS or ECA I would assume we can include it then too should add to the score.

ladymarshall:
I have not read any PPR story here that started with spouse unaccompanying, then changed to accompanying post-AOR. But this is possible. When you change it, your scores would be recalculated (and it must be above the CRS score draw that got you the ITA), you still have to show POF for two and he has to do medicals.

I saw one successful case on Canadavisa too. See here

https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/plz-help-ee-change-spouse-from-non-accompanying-to-accompanying-after-ppr.563688/

According to CIC/IRCC, if your scores is recalculated after you change to accompanying spouse and your score drops lower than the CRS score which got you the ITA, you would be rejected and you lose your money, no refund. See their tweet here

I am with only one thinking of putting spouse as non accompanying since they are not ready to write IELTS and ECA? And if eventually they come around will change status to accompanying, submit necessary documents and pay up irrespective of the stage am in.

Any similar and successful case? Saw one on canadavisa
