I was replying d guy that gave me the list of cars. I don't look at monikers (sheffy or any other name) . I just reply my mentions. But it's just funny when someone says what he knows and even tells u he's currently working on such,yet, u still try to tell him its a lie. We have thousands of agents, even uneducated ones, doing their thing with no problem. Imagine someone(even those that can't write a complete sentence) delivering 5 cars and above a week, does he need online arguments to get clients?
I've learned my lessons, I'll keep watching.

2 negotiate amount u pay to get certain duty
3 negotiate releasing cost with custom
And other logistics
Now u gave me over 10 cars, how can I give u accurate prices while I'm busy at work and won't want to give wrong prices. I gave u an email. Send me a mail and I'll give u my number.. Then we can talk.. Do u know duties are not exact.. Do u know releasing payments are negotiable with customs. I might pay 1million while u pay 800k.and both are legit.. Depending on bargaining power and sometimes mood of the valuation officer. It's not ur field so don't mumble things up.. Let the clearing agents in d house tackle my point and u'll see if I'm dubious as u claimed..

In clearer terms, I cant give quotes here except if I'm working on same car. It's stressful asking valuation, and other calculations for just 1 car

no need to volunteer a vehicle. I'm working on a 2014 Corolla now. Paying 898k duty fully authorized by customs. My valuation even has barcode(its with me here) .. If u doubt me, meet me at tincan and I'll show u d documents. This is not office work o, it's purely field job and u need to be updated in order not to loose customers

Okay,no problem ...... But you the the funniest thing....apart from fake papers, undervaluation is everywhere and it's the next big thing after fake papers...... Most importers don't care about what agents have paid, as long as their vehicles can leave the port..... It's only when they get to the road before they now know what they got themselves involved in.... Just yesterday I charged N1.450m for a 2014 Nissan sentra and the importer just scrammed and blocked me on WhatsApp because he felt he can still get another person to do it for less than N1.2m...... So, you see why I always laugh about undervaluation...... Hundreds of cars out there were certainly undervalued....

Have u heard d word dummy before? I wanted to pay extra duty on some wooden doors last year.. They created a dummy, with a new bill of lading history and I paid d duty into it backed with original custom reports and other papers.

Could you clarify the following?

- There's a moratorium on vehicle imports into Nigeria across the land borders.

- Importers still smuggle these vehicles into the country, pay "genuine" duty and somehow come up with "genuine" customs documents for them.

My question is simple, really.

In the import documents presented to the NCS in the duty payment and clearing process, what port of entry would be listed?

Tin Can? Apapa?

If the answer is either of the above, how would the importer come up with documentation showing that the vehicle was imported via those ports?

Where would the Ship bill of lading come from? Vessel name? Voyage number? Port of loading?

Or would the import documents indicate that the vehicle entered via the land borders?

1. I'm not assisting the OP. I'm just telling him there's a way out. So he should remain optimistic and not downcast as one with no way out.
2.there's an additional penalty paid on duties wey get k leg. And it's still paid into customs account and not Tru back door.
3.what if used land borders 3 years ago and didn't pay duty.. Will u still forfeit Ur car? No.. U can still approach custom offices and process assessment notice to pay duty on such cars.
4. Theres what we call ammendment. Even some cars are wrongly manifested. Custom can still establish or add d car to any port of choice officially.
5. The customs documents that follows duty payment and other processes will cover u.. It's not a days job.

NB-I'm not a custom officer and I don't know too much about the process involved. I'm just telling you guys what a normal clearing agent knows

so Ur custom friend says it's impossible to pay duty on a smuggled car.. It's either he's incompetent or he's naive.. People pay duty on cars daily at fou ikeja. Go there and confirm for urself.. So u mean all seize cars are destroyed or what.. Once the car is not seized, they can still raise u a DN which u can use to pay duty to Nigerian customs

If u get arrested by customs, u will still go through this route for paying duty. Where is the fraud here as u suggest.. He should come to tincan customs office and do all these by himself.. It's not a crime to give a solution when it seems there's no way out.

I'm sharing this to know if there is anyone that has had similar experience in the past and how they were able to resolve it.

I was on the highway just last week and i got pulled over by customs, after going through my customs docs, they told me my document was fake and the dealer who sold the vehicle made a fake document for me. the fact is the document i have actually checked out at customs initially when i went to verify it before payment, but apparently the customs papers wasn't for my car but a similar car, and that's how i was outsmarted , never gonna happy again anyway. i was actually let go after sorting things out with them .

Now the point is i want to actually make the payment duty, but the customs guys were saying border is closed and i cant make payment again, which means i cant travel with the vehicle, to avoid similar experience.

Now i'm totally confuse, i know there is away around this, but the right link is what i need, as i've spent a lot on the vehicle trying to make it to my taste and selling it off isn't my first option at it stands.

I'm a clearing agent at tincan.. There's still a way out.. U can still pay d required duty on the said car and released by tincan customs legit.. Even cars that were smuggled in go through this route to pay duty officially.
