I can still remember when I was doing PD.. proF Akande was the last person that had first class in that Eng department...He said it himself...There is also this guy that taught me in one tutorial like that. Apex tutors in Ife..He said he would have finished with 1st class but they gave him an E in a course that he should have had 90 A just to make sure he doesn't finish with a 1st class. same English department. Those Lecturers re saddist.
Prof. Akande finished with first class from English Education not pure English language.

With what limited resources of the state?

If a woman with vision like remi tinubu was our first lady by now we would have a REAL national spelling bee competition Which was greatly improve the spelling of kids across nigeria as they prepare for glory.

Usa has many spelling bees putting these young kids through competitive events not just academics really improves them psychologically from there our club sides could even pick talents.

FG and SGs' need to up their game

Ekiti State does spelling bee competition yearly and it's the best in Nigeria.

Anderson really came out of his shell. He was able to put all together.
Arewa is ......I'm just speechless. She is always out of this world.
In my opinion, I want Arewa to win, follow by Anderson, Ada and Jeff shud share 3rd and 4th.
Kumi has served her commercial purpose for MTN, she can go and rest now. Pearl should become choir mistress at her church and Ibinu should be signed by D'banj. Let them be forming their swag there.

Uncle Ben is so partial I believe. You can imagine the songs he gave Jeff.
Lastly, Pearl and Arewa duo is the best for this night. The chemistry was lovely.

A proud catholic, but i must say the way some mission schools treat people under their employ is very absurd. Especially schools managed by Rev. sisters. Have heard a lotta bad tales about them. Not good
I'm a catholic. Also I have worked in a catholic school managed by rev. Sr. I was ashamed. The way teachers are treated is so absurd. Imagine teachers sweeping the floor for students as punishment or a situation a rev. Sister locked up house staff in the hostel for coming out late.
This staff are overworked with little pay. I didn't spend more than a year. I couldn't take it. Not all rev. Sisters though. There is one among them who is like a sister to me but most are too harsh. Dem dey behave like na my force dem force them.

The guys started the gender voting thing wen dey saved richie., chike repeated it again. Now to the ladies, its payback time. To me, it was brilliant, they played a fair game
I condemned the Richie act too though but that wasn't so touching cos Jennifer didn't perform well despite her the sonorous voice.

I'm a lady. I appreciate good music irrespective of gender or looks. I don't understand how the contestants will vote based on gender. It's just so shallow.
Joy performed twice and I didn't get any 'wow' factor in both but she has to be in the house cos she is a lady?
No problem. I like Arewa cos she is very good and consistent but I will never vote for her again cos I have decided to vote only for the guys since that is what the ladies implied.
The most annoying thing was that the girls that voted him out were the first to go hug him, later they will be criticizing Buhari for preferring Northerners.
I Don vex jare, make I go look for cloth to wear to church tomorrow.

My sister, my advice is shun traveling to dubai. Learn from those that are in dubai praying to God to bring them back from to Nigeria.

All these there are jobs for female works are hoax.

Ask those ladies that were forced to go into prostitution, they will tell you more.

Tarry a little while, you will get your dream job in Nigeria.
Hmmm...life itself is a risk. Thanks for the encouragement.

Career / A Sister Needs An Advice by omowaleola(f): 12:16pm On Jun 10, 2015
This is my first time of creating a thread cos I really need someone to talk to and I hope this will help.
I'm a graduate from a prestigious university. I'm intelligent, love learning and always dream of being a career lady before any other pursuits.
I started looking for job after NYSC but to no avail. Then my mum suggested I travel to Canada to do some handwork cos I'm quite good at that. She suggested I do that with schooling. I declined. I told her I don't believe in 'escaping' abroad instead I will use the money to go for On-Air-Personality training at Lagos. Also, I can't bear the cold overthere cos of my ill-health.
Another suggestion came up that I should go and work at Dubia since they need female workers over there and the weather is better.
Now I'm confused of what to do. Am I sure I'm going to get a job at radio station after spending money on training or its better I just travel and start to work? I'm tired of sitting at home and now DT I have the opportunity of sponsorship, which one should I choose?
Pls I need your advise?

People should praise this guy instead of looking for faults. He is different, he has a family and he looks responsible,he is not following the baby - mama trend. In a way,he is teaching a lesson that we can become celebs and still live a decent life. Ride on Eldee, enjoy your life.

acidtalk: Na today?
No be all those reverend fathers dey choke all those small small boys for santuary? Abi who dey use the con*doms wey dem dey find for inside latrine when them come empty am? Na me dey use am?

Abeg leave matter joh! The most criminal minded people are found in religious houses and are religious leaders themselves.
For the adjective 'good' to exist, there has to be d opposite 'bad'. There is no place that is perfect and that include religious places. They are humans struggling like you and me. The faults of rev. Fathers are there truly but they are hype more than it shud be. Has a rev. Father impregnated anybody u know?have you personally caught a priest red-handed. The one u mentioned happened like two years ago. This is just because they are celibrate and much of attention is placed on them. They need to be celebrated cos of their high level of self denial. I don't think most pastors can sacrifice as they have done. Scold them when they are wrong but don't condemn them.

I went to a catholic boarding secondary school and my elder brother is a catholic priest. One of those things we were taught is that we are social animals so we have to be social cos it has its own place in our life. D way they portray these people in film is not d way they are in real life. They are fun to be with. I got to know p-square n style plus songs through the rev. Sisters in those day. A rev. Father taught me how to dance to p-square. Being spiritual doesn't have to do with dancing or listening to secular music. It is more than that. It is the thing of the heart. Forget the outward display of religiousity without essence display by many people. I'm glad I was trained by them.
