This tread is for treasury bills investment and not any other thing. People with new investment scheme (MMM and others) should create a new tread for it. We must not derail this tread. Moderator please take note. Back to the main issue. What rate is good for 91days NTB for 1st Sept., 2016 auction? My bid with bank rate for GT Bank in the last auction for 91 days was unsuccessful and i am placing my own rate with them. |

hedonistic:this is the function of regulatory agencies. It's their duty that the oil marketers & importers don't take undue advantage of consumers. Unfortunately, all regulatory agencies in Nigeria have failed woefully. |
Collynzo9:How I wish he has the gut to tackle Nigeria's many challenges. The pictures is nice but its not what we need now. Nigerians are clamouring for change, purposeful leadership, transparency, accountability and good governance. |
whiterock:Ole |
lalasticlala:The truth is that fayemi wrecked the state financially. He was borrowing money for the wrong reasons. How can a governor borrow money to build a government house, buy cars for the political class and also use 50m naira to buy bed. Fayemi made sure he not only left the state finance to be in red but also made sure that its in the negative. Shame on all our politician. None of them is ready to work other than embezzle state funds. I implore the incumbent governor to please look for means to pay the sepyember salary |
theshadyexpress:Lies! Lies!! Lies!!! Lagos. All the roads mentioned in Lagos are in a deplorable state. From 3MB to a papa oshodi to Lagos sagamu are all not motorable. GEJ should just leave. |
ochejoseph:The little and minute progress in railway system was never initiated by GEJ administration but from that of OBJ and Yaradua. The project initiation , planning, design, project financing, procurement and awarding of contracts were done by previous government. What the present government has done was just to follow through. Its no |
menesheh:Abati is not only a shame to himself but also to his academic qualifications. Down Abati wants to tell us that his master GEJ has done anything meaniful to warrant a second term. Nigerians have rejected his master. He should tell us one problem GEJ has solved in this country. |

This is really pathetic and it shows the weakness and lack of infrastructure of health institution in Africa. Our Leaders have been sleeping |
Senegal's health ministry has confirmed a first case of Ebola, making it the fifth West African country to be affected by the outbreak. Health Minister Awa Marie Coll Seck told reporters on Friday that a young man from Guinea was confirmed to have contracted the virus. The man was immediately placed in quarantine, she added. The current outbreak, which began in Guinea, has killed more than 1,500 people across the region. At least 3,000 people have been infected with the virus. The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned it could get much worse and infect more than 20,000 people. Senegal had already closed its borders to neighbouring Guinea to try to stop the spread of the virus. Source: http://opeonayemi..com/2014/08/breaking-senegal-confirms-first-case-of.html

A new year comes with his challenges and opportunities. Over the years many people have coined resolutions at the beginning of the year for themselves. You hear people making resolution to stop an habit or learn a skill but before you know it they are already back to their old ways. Making a New Year resolution can be easy but living by it is not a child's play. This story shed more light in to it. David is a seasoned banker who works for one of the leading Bank in the country. He has garnered over 15 years of experience in the banking industry. His Salary, perks and benefits are quite large. By his status, He lives with his family in one of the best neighbourhood on Lagos Island. In addition to his official car, he has three other vehicles. One SUV for himself during the weekend, another SUV for his beloved wife and a mini bus to take the children to school. David is diligent, smart and intelligent which culminated in his rapid promotion. While travelling on the express to an event, His car had a serious accidents and he was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment. The whole family was sacred but within weeks he recovered from injuries he sustained. After the incident, he began to do a personal inventory of his investment, assets and property but he was shocked to know that what he only has to show for his fifteen years careers in the banking industry is one his uncompleted building and his fleet of cars. Thereafter, he made resolutions to do something about his future and his retirement plan. But before you know it, he relapsed on his resolutions and continued his lavish life style. A year passed and the management of his company decided to the lay off some staff. He was affected by the mass sack and things went soar for his family. David's story is a perfect example of failed resolutions. 1. Set realistic and achievable goals Setting goals that are vague is sure way to failure. No resolution guarantees automatic doom more than the vague ones like, "I'm going to eat learn a new skill" or "I'm going to get in shape". Our goals must achieve the SMART nuggets. Each goals must be specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and timely. While this is necessary, making them personal, positive and present will also help because it will help to convince your brain that you have already achieved your goal. 2. Create small actionable and attainable steps Each of your goals should be broken or divided into small achievable goals. Usually, goals are achieved in bits. Little successes birth the big ones. For instance, a person that want to learn a new skill or expertise can decide to get series of certification. Attainment of one certification leads to another. If you set yourself a series of small milestones on the way, you can celebrate the realisation of each step, which will also make it much more likely that you will actually achieve your ultimate goal. 3. Don’t have too many resolutions. Having a lot of resolution can sometimes deter one in achieving any of it. Focus on the one that will give the biggest reward. Many of us set ourselves up with a number of goals going into the New Year. Instead of stretching yourself too thin, focus on the one area that will give you the biggest reward as often it will also have a positive impact on other areas of our life as an additional benefit. 4. Identify other people who can help you achieve your goal. All of us need help achieving our goals. Whether that's enlisting the positivity of a supportive friend or identifying the key stakeholders and influencers that will help us get that promotion, new role or pay rise. Share your goals with other people and you're 50% more likely to achieve them. The key is to make sure the person you share your goal with is someone you trust and is a supporter rather than a detractor. 5. Manage the Challenges and Hurdles Nothing good comes easy. In achieving your resolutions, challenges will always come. Solving this challenges paves way to solutions There will often be barriers to achieving our goals. Know that they exist and think up front about devising strategies to get around them. People often say they don't have enough time to devote to change. Don't let hurdles trip you up, be committed to find practical ways to circumvent them to achieve your goals. Each resolution you see through will see you through in the new year. Pursuit of what to eat and stay relevant is driving our presidential attack dog to dangerous level. Okupe should be ashamed of himself. |
Naming institution of higher learning after a personality is something that is uncommon in developed countries. Rather, they are named after City or place. The exception is when this institution are founded by individuals or a large part of the funds used in establishing it provided by the individual. To me, this renaming is uncalled for, myopic and politically orchestrated. A cue from the great britain is a perfect example. |
RIP Mandela |
Why is the president always travelling out of the country for every other reason? Today he is in UK, tomorrow is france and next tomorrow ethopia. GEJ should sit down in the country and work. Had it been it was the era military rule, he would have long been overthrown. |
Strike ! Strike!! Strike!!! Every one is down tooling for slightest of disharmony with the Government. Its very unfortunate and more worsening that critical sectors of the economy like Health, Education and others are always quick to embark on industrial actions. The case of ASUU and ARD are good examples. To me, we have lost it as a country and this is very disheartening given the potential and opportunities the country had during independence. All hands must be on deck to stop this malady. The government, union leaders and civil servants must work to put a stop this anomaly. Strike benefits no one. |
