Nigerian musical star Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly called Burna Boy, has been reported banned from performing at events in the United State.

The report, according to sources, said that Burna Boy was banned from performing at any event, venue or any form of recording anywhere in USA & Canada by US Supreme Federal Court in New York unless he settles with the New York-based promotion company Vibesland Entertainment, LLC founded by Promoter/Producer Niyi Fatogun.

Burna Boy was sued by Vibesland Entertainment, LLC, on allegations that he signed a contract for 2016 USA & Canada Tour, failed to turn up, postponed the tour which put the promoter Vibesland Entertainment, LLC, in serious debt in the United States.

Vibesland Entertainment, LLC, was said to have invested up to $25,000 in preparation and facilitating the tour.

The issue started after the promoter, Vibesland Entertainment, LLC, obtained USA Work Permit approval visa for Burna Boy, then Burna Boy failed to honour the contractual agreement.

The promoter, Niyi Fatogun, hired professional entertainment lawyer, Takena Barango to represent Vibesland Entertainment, LLC, on Wednesday May17, 2017, at the Supreme Court in New York.

The judge ordered a court injunction on Burna Boy outside US Tour, until Burna Boy Ltd settles the promoter for the financial loss Vibesland Entertainment, LLC, suffered due to breach of trust.

Burna Boy’s management claims were that the promoter didn’t pay the deposit as stated in the contract between VIBESLAND ENTERTAINMENT, LLC & BURNA BOY LTD.

Five Nigerians have been arrested by the Western Regional Police In Ghana for allegedly trading in contraband and over the counter medicines.

The Pharmacy Council, the body mandated to regulate the sale of medicines in the country had observed with grave concern the increase in itinerant drug peddling business across the country and vowed to clamp down on their operations.

They were arrested after a swoop by the Western Regional Office of the Council with the support of the Police.

The five were arrested in the Prestea Huni-Valley District while one Ghanaian woman who escaped had her wares running into thousands of Ghana cedis confiscated.

Empire FM reported that most of the drugs being sold by the Nigeriens are meant for the enlargement of male organ and female buttock.

ASP Simon Deta, the Huni-Valley District Crime Officer in an interview with Empire FM stated that the five arrested will be investigated and prosecuted.

He added that other foreign nationals engaged in drug peddling in the country will be arrested.

Popular Ghanaian and Nollywood movie star Dumelo has been under huge criticism from some section of the media after he made comments deemed too hypercritical of a bread seller.


Though sone people still believe it was a calculated media stunt to make A1 bread comoany popular, He had earlier made a post on social media about a graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology who was selling bread in traffic

Heavy and unpleasant reactions raided his post, Even, A Ghanaian blogger, Chris Vincent Agyapong and others accused John Dumelo of not having fininished his own university education at KNUST. Demanding Dumelo to provide his certificate of graduation to prove he indeed successfully graduated from the school.

Naughty John The actor simply succumbed to the comments and gave them a reply.

A user on social media, one @prince_akowuah asked the actor “where is your KNUST certificate. Soon after, the awarding winning actor coyly replied, “I used it to buy a V8”

It yet wasn't thrashed as fun, Controversies did not end was on social media users as the actor has earlier been attaked for involvement in a political issue of having received a state car from the previous John Mahama-led government as part of his campaign activities. - NAAIJA
