ART of Expression, the Chinze Ojobo story.

Pablo Picasso once said that "every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up", the story of Mrs Chinze Ojobo remains that she has been a great artist from the tender age of 3.

In our world where it takes only the few special ones to express their ideas, creativity, experiences and activities within the environment, Chinze is one of the few that have used their art works to express the activities happening around world and try to teach, inform, educate and establish a sense of creativity in the minds of art lovers and generally the Nigerian people.

Chinze was admitted into the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) to study Zoology but like they say 'there is always a calling' for everyone. After her first year, she decided to switch to her passion and love for creativity and expression of ideas and events by studying Fine and Applied Arts with specialization in painting where she graduated in 1985.

Chinze's work are usually detailed, highly textured and rich in symbolism. With her specialisation and expertise in painting with acrylic on jute, she creates water painting and expresses herself on metal and wood and making two and three dimensional sculptures. She also creatively explores other ideas by making wrought iron and wooden furniture pieces.

Most of Chinze's works depicts activities and events happening in Nigeria, Africa and the entire world. Recently, she was acclaimed for her exhibition at the National Museum, Lagos, "The Unfinished Business" where she highlighted the plight of the 'Girl Child' in Nigeria.

In 1998, she organised the first all female art exhibition at the International Conference Center (ICC), Abuja titled "Women in Art" which was opened by the then First Lady, Mrs Mariam Abacha.

As an Artist of International repute and recognition, she has organised and participated in over 48 local and international exhibition in different parts of the world including Hollywood, LA, New York, California, London, Bulgaria, Plovdiv, Paris, Lagos, Abuja, Enugu, etc.

In her most recent organised exhibition tagged "Inspiration of Ages" which depicted the plight of the 'Girl-Child' and the need to give them hope and future, she showcased a lot of her works that best depicts events and activities happening around us and a call and need to provide solution to issues like total ending of human trafficking and inhuman activities that happened recently in Libya, the Chibok girls plight, activities and happenings of Coal City, the three wise men and many more. The event was held at Polo Park Enugu, from December 20th to December 31st, 2017 and was graced by prominent Nigerians, foreigners and lovers of arts including the Nigerian Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, Former Nigerian Minister for Information, Frank Nweke jnr and many other lovers of Art works that trooped in to see, commend and buy the beautiful art works of Chinze.

Policemen Escape Death In Anambra, As Truck Crash Into Patrol Vehicle..

Lucky men of the Nigerian police force escape death this morning in Amadim Ukpor, A town in Anambra state as a full loaded sand truck failed to climb a hilly road and resorted to uncontrollable reverse.

The policemen who were on duty at the checkpoint implored their colleague who parked the car to rush relocate the vehicle, unfortunately he wasn't fast enough as the truck crashed on it while the police driver entered to ignite and shift the vehicle.

It was a sad moment as colleagues and others present thought that a life has been lost but miraculously, The man creeped out slightly hurt.



The police vehicle belongs to Ukpor police division.

Olisa Metuh explains what happened at the PDP Convention :


In the past 24 hours, I have received calls from a lot of people concerning the misleading online media reports which suggested that I was manhandled and barred from sitting in the VIP box at the just concluded PDP National Convention in Abuja.

It sure reminds me of series of spurious reports that EFCC arrested me just when I was about to flee to some island; or is it the one about chewing my statements and the rest?

The truth is that I have never sat at the VIP box whenever we come for a party event throughout my 17 years in active politics. Our joy has always been to sit amongst the Anambra delegates with all the drama of home invisibility.

However, we visit the box at will to liaise with other leaders on issues as they arise and that was the case in the just concluded convention.

I was never manhandled nor barred from the VIP box, but yes, on the first visit from the Anambra stand to the box, some security operatives had problem with the size of our delegation, which included some B.O.T members, legislators and other individuals.

This was quickly resolved and we accessed the state box and had our first interaction with those sitting inside the box.

Do I really have to explain how many times I visited the state box or the fact that I was all the times I visited, warmly received by all our leaders present?

The PDP convention was one of the best in terms of planning and execution. Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa indeed is a perfectionist and he together with his team made the entire PDP family proud.

My concern has always been with post convention management and this is where we are presently engaged in ensuring that the progress and stability of our party far outweighs individual successes and/or failures.

I have served our great party, the PDP faithfully; I love my party and I have full confidence in the competence and capacity of the present National Working Committee.

My charge to my able successor, the new National Publicity Secretary of our party is to focus on those issues that Nigerians are concerned about.

The online media will always come with its drama, but let the new NWC remain focused on explaining our party's stand on the economy, fight against corruption, national unity and other important issues affecting the nation.

Nigerians now look up to the PDP for direction and we cannot afford to be distracted in any way whatsoever.

3 Principal officers of Imo State House of Assembly have this afternoon resigned from their positions, citing the overall interest of the House, and the State reasons.

They are:
Hon. Lugard Osuji Majority Leader.
Hon. Barr. Kennedy Ibeh, Deputy Majority Leader.
Hon. Marcel Odunze, Chief Whip.

While the APC in the state had written to acknowledge the move by the Majority leader and his deputy, the chief whip seemed to have outsmarted the party, as his resignation took the party unawares.

Meanwhile, the trio have been replaced thus:
Hon. Barr. Uche Oguwuike, Majority Leader
Hon. Chinedu Offor, Deputy Majority Leader,
Hon. Barr. Innocent Arthur Egwim, Chief whip.

Tragedy Averted in Owerri ...

What would have been a major tragedy was mysteriously averted when a luxury bus belonging to a popular transport company went ablaze today in Owerri. The incident happened in the early hours of today along ulakwo junction.



The driver, passersby, other road users were still in shock as a vehicle moving could suddenly go ablaze. To God be the glory that no life was lost in the inferno.

Today, the award winning governor in Nigeria, His Excellency Chief Willie Obiano donated some patrol vans to all the security Agencies in Anambra State to help in policing the state.

It's no more news that Anambra state is the safest state in Nigeria where crime fighting has been advanced from management to detection.

At the ceremony that saw the presence of all the Heads of Aparatuses in Anambra in attendance. The vehicles were procured from Innoson Motors, Nnewi, Anambra State. A total of 13 vans and 20 motorbikes were distributed amongst the security outfits.



Speaking at the event, the governor charged the officers to continue putting in their best for the security of the state.

Saraka is a traditional practice which even the church has subscribed to, Its a sacrificial practice which shows true generosity and alms giving.

This practice cuts across different religious practices, it is mostly executed with children in the belief of being stainless and pure hearted.

Spirits/deities often reject some prayers, sacrifices etc becos of lack of equity and purity from people.

But children has the most clean heart and hands because they don't know evil like most adults,
so any prayer they made for some one always comes from their pure heart,
so the spirits/deities always listen and grant children's request.
not like some Adults that they may made prayers for u but u will not know that their heart may be evil thoughts.

That is why is important in our tradition that we carry out saraka, prayers, ritual by children for them to made prayers for us so that we can get easer responds from our Ancestors and deities.
In this event the food were prepared and shared by children.
This is another method of holy communion (oriri Nsọ)

Report reaching our news desk indicates that a popular hotel along okigwe road in Orji by name “Stone Castle ” is on fire. The hotel is located beside Oando filling station just before flyover. As at the time of filing this report, the cause of the fire outbreak was yet to be ascertained.

We cannot confirm if there are casualties but men of the Imo state fire brigade are now on ground to take care of the deadly inferno..

We Must All Pray For Anambra


I don't deserve to be read, I really do not, at least for now; thus, I'm almost disqualified to preach any sermon, I couldn't deliver my ward after all. Yes. But then, it isn't shameful. Actually I'm just more gracious about it.

I am aware too that setbacks have an upside - - they fuel new dreams. Winning may not be everything, but losing has little to recommend it.

It cannot seem shameful to me simply because a 15th century tactic became effective in my generation and I couldn't help, given hard efforts and tough nights.

Caterpillars are already deserting sites, Ndi Ukpor are already topping the list of victim communities.

The streetlights may have seized (I pray they haven't else it would mean the same stick injuring my people twice). It wasn't a hasty decision so, let me not say they were wrong.

I will respect the decision of about 200,000 persons not by their majority count but by their belief in my disbelief. Not by the power of their numbers else the over 1.7million persons who did not vote wouldn't be so easily ignored.

But, we shall ignore them because we have no other state to call ours. That's why I pray for Ndi Anambra, okachasi Ndi oru oyibo. Today caterpillars are deserting construction sites, tomorrow alerts might be deserting your inbox.

You all may have to join me in prayers. Pray that the decision of over 90,000 Anambrarians who share in Tony Nwoye's vision to salvage Anambra still works even through Willie.

Pray that those roads graded during campaign would be completed before another campaign period.

Pray that our civil servants will continue to get that overrated alert.

Pray that our education may improve.

Pray that our health sector would be revived.

Pray that SAs would not live like palace guards, and that their number too, would not decrease strangely.

Pray that Anambra would still be able save for posterity.

Pray that the more we look, the more we shall see.

Pray against double taxation.

Pray for these and many more.

Pray for the Light of the Nation, that we may not experience eclipse.

Pray that God gives our Governor the grace to serve diligently thereby rewarding the trust of Ndị Anambra with good governance, and dividends of democracy.


Please pray because your most important fight are the ones you knew you couldn't win but you fought as hard as you could anyway....

Rascals in Aguleri in the name of politics

To the glory of God and due credit to Ndi Anambra, the much awaited Nov 18th Governorship Election was held albeit peacfully with an outcome that favours the incumbent and it's party APGA.

Dr. Tony Nwoye - a firm believer in participatory democracy, despite the observable inconsistencies and irregularities that dots the outcome had chosen to respect the decision of the majority of genuine voters and allow Gov Obiano to have a smooth self transition to his second term in office without the distraction of court litigation and further depletion of Anambra now bleeding cum shallow resources by congratulating his elder brother Gov Willie Obiano and assuring him that he won't pursue the case in court.

This statesman and sportsman gesture from a younger brother from Nsugbe, ought to have been appreciated by the Gov and his Aguleri community.

Ordinary, it is expected that the Aguleri community having been the greatest beneficiary and recipient of all the projects and other 'goodies' that this government could offer in its first term (and possibly second term) would have been in a very receptive, accommodating, joyous and celebrating mode.

However, while distant and less benefiting communities from this Government were celebrating the victory of the party, closing political gaps and building bridges of friendship, some youths of Aguleri invaded the constituency office of Hon Dr Tony Nwoye at Aguleri, vandalising, destroying and looting the constituency office at Aguleri barely 48hrs that their son was declared winner and not yet issued a certificate of return.

There is no justification for such unprovoked and unwarranted attack on the person and properties of Dr Tony Nwoye by a Governor, party and community that ought to be happy and celebrating its victory.

The question that will begrudge our minds that I need to ask Obiano, Apga and Aguleri people is this ....

Is this how to be magnimous in victory?

What has Dr Tony Nwoye done to warrant such an unprovoked attack on his person and constituency office?

Those that have taken a normal political contest to the height of diabolic, malicious, violent and fanatic must be cautioned

Imo State Governor and Chairman, All Progressive Governors’ Forum, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has congratulated the candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the Anambra State Governorship election, Chief Willie Obiano over his victory at the poll.

The governor said Mr. Obiano’s victory was too clear to be contested or questioned and therefore advised the candidates of other political parties who took part in the election to congratulate Chief Obiano and avoid going to court to question his victory.

Governor Okorocha also expressed regret over the loss of his party, the APC in the election and attributed the loss of his party in the election to internal wrangling and lack of genuine commitment on the part of the party’s leadership in the state.

The governor however expressed the hope that with the election, the future of APC in the South-East is very bright, and stressed that before now nobody would have thought that APC could do better than the PDP in an election in Anambra state.

Governor Okorocha also urged Nigerians to celebrate President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC led government at the centre for allowing a level playing ground for all the candidates.

He added that the Anambra election has shown that the APC has what it takes to strengthen the nation’s democracy.

The governor thanked the people of Anambra state for a peaceful election and for not yielding to IPOB’s threats or listening to the group’s call for boycott.
