Phones / Airtel Has Stolen From Me, They Took My 3gb, Airtime Without Usage by onismate: 6:56am On Sep 14, 2016
Guy narrates how Airtel stole N1500 from him ....

Airtel has done it again oooo. Can someone save me from this scammer of a network. I am fed up with the network. I am still maintaining the network because it’s the only service that is available here am serving. Airtel are constantly deducting my airtime each time I recharge. They will zap my data like there’s no tomorrow each time I subscribe. But this! I can’t take it anymore.
It all started last week when I subscribed for the airtel N1,500 for 6gb. I had been getting messages from the network to subscribe N1,500 and get 6gb worth of data. So a friend of mine called their customer service and they confirmed it’s real and not scam. They said it was only those that received the massage that are eligible. Though I wasn’t that convinced because I know how the zap data. And network providers rarely keep to their words. I was kind of happy that I will be getting 6gb for N1,500. Na so I rush. I went out and bought airtime worth N1,500 and recharged and subscribed. Lo and behold I was only given 3gb instead of the 6gb promised. All these was on Friday 9th 2016. I just browsed a little and my phone began to malfunction. It was so hurting because I just subscribed. I had to switch of my phone for repairs on Saturday. So I was inactive fr0m Saturday 10th to Monday 12th. Only for me to switch on my phone to browse, it wasn’t going. I tried browsing and it wasn’t. I removed the sim and inserted it into my modem and tried browsing, yet it wasn’t going. Only or me to check my balance and It said my data has finished. I couldn’t just understand. “How did I finish the data?” Me that was offline for 3 days. I hadn’t even enjoyed the data because Immediately I started browsing when I subscribed that was when my phone started malfunctioning that I got angry and switched it off. Shey na phone malfunction dey zap data! Their customer service is not saying anything reasonable. Enough is enough. Airtel should give me back my data. Airtel BringBackMyData. Return the data you took from this number 08129361333. Ok infact lets just assume it was a mistake. Return my data.

Politics / Emir Of Kano, Sanusi Throws Shot At Pres. Buhari Over His Handling Of Economy by onismate: 7:11am On Sep 05, 2016
The Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido sanusi has thrown a challenge to President Buhari over the handling of the economy and his leadership style.

I am so loving what his royal highness said. Very intelligent. This is what the Emir is saying..

“who is advising the Government? I have asked that question before. I want to know so I can talk to the adviser… you can’t be in recession because a sector that is 15% of your GDP has declined. What happened to agriculture, trade, services and health?”

This is very nice and intelligent from the former CBN Governor

After a heavy down pour few days ago in Rivers state, the corpers lodge in Buguma in Asari toru LGA of Rivers state got flooded. Water took over the whole compound and building. Corpers had to start draining water out of their rooms. The unfortunate thing is that, properties like laptops, cloths, foods where among things that was soaked, destroyed in that water.

Even fishes and crabs were in that water.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: He Spent Over N6m For Masters In U.K But Regretting It Because No Job Yet by onismate: 11:41am On Aug 27, 2016
Ellidude:
It takes the grace of God to hit a job opportunity without connection in the present day Nigeria. You should have listened to your MUM. Good tidings always come with that. Someone close to me refused to listen to his Mum's advice.

He was working in a good and feasible computer firm only for him to wake up one day and say he was going to Lagos for a business invite from persons he had only communicated with via email. Clearly, it was a scam. His Mum noticing the obvious cautioned him after he brought the idea to her with a plan of selling a little part of their land for his purpose.

To cut the long story short. He did as he was. told by his mindset. Travelled with the huge sum of money to Lagos. Three years after, without contact with his family, he was returned by God knows who and with MADNESS. Even till date, his predicament lingers on.

The bottom line is, on your search for greener pastures, never ever neglect the advice of those ahead of you in life. There's a saying "What a youth sees standing up, an elder sees even more clearly while sitting down." This statement may not be in the right context but trust me when I say that it pays to listen to advises.

Sorry if I may have derailed. I just had to share. grin
indeed you are so right.

Jobs/Vacancies / He Spent Over N6m For Masters In U.K But Regretting It Because No Job Yet by onismate: 8:45am On Aug 27, 2016
Here is the story of my friend who is not happy at all. After spending a huge sum for his masters in UK, he's yet to be employed. Read below....

I graduated from the university in 2011 and finished my NYSC in 2012. I had already planned my life I didn’t want to waste much time before going for my master’s degree if I didn’t get a good job.

A month before my POP in 2012, I got a job offer in an oil firm in Port Harcourt that I served. With a salary of N50,000 they offered, I wasn’t satisfied with it. I wanted better even when part of me insisted on taking the offer. I had to tell my mom that I wanted to sell some of my late dad’s property to raise money to go to U.K for my masters. My mom totally refused. She objected on me selling any of my dad’s property to go abroad for my master. And she has also refused to give me money for school fees. She no want make I travel. She said she would only support me if I wanted to start a business.

Not that we are so rich, we are just okay. My mom runs her own boutique in Abuja. my dad only left us with 4 landed properties and I intended selling off 3 to raise money to go for my master’s in U.K, and I didn’t know where to raise any money. I thought about everything, it was really killing me. My late dad left four landed properties in Abuja, and my mom didn’t want me to sell any of them. She wanted me to keep them.

A week after my service, I had to trick my mom after much pressure I placed her in. She allowed me to only sell 2. I told her I wanted to use the money to start an agriculture business. Na so she give me permission to sell. And I didn’t even sell it for as much reasonable price just because I was so desperate. I was not patience enough and my mom was terribly angry with me. I supposed to realize about N11m on the two land sales because it was located in a good area. But I wasn’t patient enough. I hurriedly realized N7. 8m from the sales. I paid my tuition fee and every other ones in the U.K. After everything. While I was still waiting for my Visa confirmation, I mom will keep asking when and the plans about my business. I will tell her I was still working on it. I got my Visa before telling my mom. My mom nearly went ballistics when I told her I was using the money for my masters in U.K. I had to beg and kept begging. Even when I was leaving for U.K, she didn’t even talk to me. She felt betrayed about what I did.

After my masters, I came back late 2014. I and my mom had finally reconciled, I felt fulfilled that my value has risen in the labour market. Not until after job hunting for 2 months, it looked as if my education was nonsense. It looked as if I wasted my time and money in U.K for masters and was not able to get any reasonable job. Employers no even send my U.K certificate sef. After spending about N6.7m for my school, stay and all expenses in U.K, I am yet to get reasonable offer. I am beginning to regret, I would have heeded to my mom’s advice to use the money for business.

This is 2016 and yet no job. And I didn’t want my mom to know about my so many weird job hunting ordeals, because it would look as if it was out of my disobedience I refused to listen to her. The one that angered me most was the job interview I went for last week. It was boldly stated that they wanted people with masters. It was after the interview only for me to hear that the company only recruited Bsc holders. Infact I was told that the interview we did was just a formality, the company had taken people they wanted. I was so pained when I heard that. That was not the first time such a thing is happening. There is no longer equality in Nigerian job hunting labour system. To get a job now is about “WHO IS YOUR FATHER” or “WHO DO YOU KNOW.”

Well, but I know God, am being hopeful that soon I will get a good job. I just decided to take the little money I have to do start up a small business.

Check out what a woman shared on facebook about the happy hour drink she bought for kid. The drink has spoilt but thank God she opened it first to discover and didn’t give it to the kid to take. Photo below.

As the present day hardship worsens, some corp members in Rivers state under the Nigerian Christian Corpers fellowship, (NCCF), and also known as “Jesus corpers” organized a 3 day amazing program in Oproama community in Rivers state. The program which is tagged “Rural rugged” saw NCCF corp members distributing relief materials, free medical services and drugs to the indigenes of the community. Corp members who are medical Doctors were available in the house, attending to sick patients in the community. The corpers also organized a counseling and prayer session, and a workshop where they thought the youths of the community on how to bake cakes, chin-chin, peanuts and other things in other to be self-employed. They also cut the hairs, braid hairs of indigenes. Every products and services delivered to the community by the NCCF corp members are free of charge. Nothing was collected from the indigenes.

It was a 3 day power packed prayers, praise and worship in the presence of the Lord. Prayer was said for the community.
