sjeezy8:Anioma NEEDS a state because like 006 pointed out; there is an identity crisis of sorts over there with Delta state having almost two capitals -Asaba and Warri. So, a state will help Anioma people. Ngwa people DON'T need a state. There is NO NEED for one. Igboland has many groups. I personally can agitate for Nnewi or Anaedo state, but it is idiotic. These states are not viable. We need resource control first. Then, regions can decide to divide as they feel. |
ChinenyeN:Ngwa suspicions? Na wa o for dis dude! You are sounding soooooooooooooooooooooo warped. ![]() You are from Abia state. Okwu agwu! ![]() |
sjeezy8:You are missing the point. Did I say they'll leave south east? I said that quality of everything will deteriorate: education, leadership etc. You'll have a half baked fool answering "governor" there and stealing the people blind. In any case I don't expect you to understand me. Fear of Nigeria's disintegration is occluding your vision and blocking your brain (if you have any ).RESOURCE CONTROL FIRST! After that, you can create 1000 states in Yorubaland if you like. ![]() |
ChinenyeN:Igbo is a nation with many groups inside it. That is a common knowledge. For you to unduly harp on that point alone is unfortunate and is making me to begin to see Ngwa people in new light. It is terrible. If I am in Ohanaeze or in Igboland now, I would personally ensure that Aba state or Ngwa state NEVER materializes. There is something sinister about it, judging from your warped points here. |
ChinenyeN:Who said anything about that? The only thing I said was that as long as you speak Igbo, you are Igbo. Your sub-group is immaterial as far as Nigerian politics in concerned. When Hausa start killing Igbos in the north, go tell them that Igbo are not "synonymous". If you can finish your sentence before your head is cut off, you won the argument! ![]() |
sjeezy8:Has it ever occurred to you that we (including Yoruba sef ) were happier when we had less states than now? This is common sense. I hate things that worsen my situation and I often can see FAR before it comes to me. Believe me I personally have no immediate reason to worry about state creation. I am in one of the best states in Nigeria, but, I know that it was better before breaking it up into Enugu, Ebonyi and Anambra states. |
ChinenyeN:Whatever dude! Go tell that to Yoruba or Hausa or even Ijaw. ![]() If they believe you, then come back here. ![]() Your argument is really funny. |
006:I've heard both Ralph Uwechue and the Obi of Asaba Prof Edozien make that case that Anioma wants to join south east if we will support their state creation quest. Obviously the leaders from both sides would iron out the agreement first. |
ChinenyeN:Ol boy "kwere nke i kwere" Let's agree to disagree. I'm starting to feel insulted by your level of myopia. You said you are loyal to Ngwa, stay that way. Only that half of Aba is owned by my folks; people like Okoli "Mekason", Ileka and other Nnewi guys. So, when I say Igboland is one I meant it. ![]() |
006:I strongly suspect that Anioma state might materialize this time for two reasons: (1) The current president general of Ohanaeze is from there (2) There is NO agreement about states to be created in the south east So, we kill two birds with one stone -give it to Anioma. ![]() |
ChinenyeN: ![]() You really make me laugh! lmfao! Okay stay loyal to Ngwa. It is well. ![]() |
ChinenyeN:People will keep complaining but they are not always right. Real leadership will identify the real problem and solve it. Today, we don't even have a good transit system like light rail in the south east. We don't have a state owned power plant. None of the state is strong enough to take up huge projects like was the case in the days of Okpara. If we have real leaders in the south east, they would not support this. Let's support Anioma. They need it. |
ChinenyeN:You know, I can probably say that an "Nnewi state" will be economically viable. We've got some money in my town. But, how does that bring me closer to my kind in Ngwa or Aro, or Nsukka, or Abakaliki? All these are my people. We speak same language. We may not be of the same origin, but who is?I want my land unified and intact! We grow as one. ![]() |
Aloy+Emeka: ![]() Alloy you're an idiot. What is wrong with Abakaliki? |
ChinenyeN:I'm from Nnewi in Anambra state. Why? |
sjeezy8:And you think we've not heard that idiocy before? ![]() Yorubaland is only OYO and OGUN. ![]() |
006:Thank you bros! Again the Igbo should support Anioma state creation because it solves a particular problem. We don't need any new state in the south east. I say we give Anioma the south east "quota" for state. It helps them and frees them up to join the south east if they want. |
sjeezy8:And you are in the position to know what they want and how it will all pan out. I have told you (or was it your idiot twin Sefago ) that Igbo will go it ALONE if need be. We start by asking for our own state first. Who told you Igbo really want to stay with other groups anyway? MASSOB is an eastern thing because Biafra was an eastern thing. In a referendum today, the Igbo will still vote to go even if alone! Get that into your cowardly skull. ![]() |
I would rather have one leader for the whole Igboland, and one house of assembly for the whole Igboland. If that happens, most of these half baked fools in the national assembly won't even qualify to run, and some governors won't even qualify to be local government chairmen. |
ChinenyeN:How come Ngwa is hijacking this thread? Pray this is about state creation, not about Ngwa state creation which I suspect will never see the light of day. If only Nigeria can implement full resource control all these idiocy will end. ![]() |
ChinenyeN:What identity are you talking about? Since when are you not from south east or Igboland again? ![]() |
ChinenyeN:No my friend, that is a BIG LIE. I can recall clearly how decent East Central State was. Mind you, all the intellectual giants we've had in Igbo land, from Zik to Chinua Achebe, to the Okigbos, Dikes, Ojikes, Okparas, Mbadiwes and all other giants from Igboland, were raised and educated BEFORE all the current states in the south east. Since all these new states started, show me a single leader or intellectual giant that has emerged from Igboland. ![]() Now you have idiots who would never have been qualified to run even urban councils in the old days become governors and senators today. Today, I can't count a single SOLID tertiary institution in the whole south east. Anyway, you are entitled to your opinions as I'm entitled to mine! ![]() |
sjeezy8:You are so scared of Nigeria's break up that you are willing to destroy your people for it! You think any of these stoopid state creations will stop MASSOB and their push for Biafra ![]() Today they are very active in ALL former eastern states: Anambra, Imo, Ebonyi, Akwa-Ibom, Cross rivers, Rivers,Abia, Delta and Enugu. The more you divide us to destroy us, the more determined we get to destroy Nigeria. lmao! |
Jonathan promised a free and fair elections next year and I think he will deliver on that promise. To achieve that of course, I strongly suspect he will not run. Having said that, anything is possible in politics. ![]() |
Dis Guy:I would support either candidate, no shaking. ![]() Donald Duke needs to do REAL politicking. Everybody wants something. He should go to the South east and meet with Ohanaeze. Then he should meet (even if by proxy) with MASSOB, then he should also meet (by proxy again) with MEND. These are the real grass root mobilizers in the two zones (south east/south south). He should pick an activist from the north as his running mate. Believe me, if he does these, and there is free and fair elections, we will win. All these are assuming that Jonathan is not running. There is no way the two can run successfully. I would advise Donald Duke to go for it next year through another party(nothing is stopping him ). He should use AC but should run on a joint ticket with APGA. Only then can he beat a PDP candidate in a free and fair election. |
I remember that my town had clean tarred roads and pipe borne water even inside the villages in the days of East Central state. As I write now, there are no pipe borne water in my town. All the roads built when most part of Igboland was one state are all gone now. As I write now, Peter Obi is trying his best to rebuild all those roads. Tomorrow, someone will break up my state and the new state will get a rogue for a governor and it would be deja vous all over again. Nigeria is really making me sick! |
I think that the only reason the south east is agitating for extra state is because of the disparity with other geopolitical zones. If that disparity is normalized, or if resource control is fully implemented at zonal level, Ndigbo will not likely create more states. I know that some parts of Igboland are very fractious (I heard there are about 800 autonomous communities in Imo state alone! ), leadership is about pointing out the harm in that!It is self defeating to break up peoples of the same culture. When you break up peoples of the same language, you are actually waging a war on their ultimate survival. Only true leaders can understand this point. In the name of God, if you cannot implement full resource control, STOP breaking up my land into nonviable bits and pieces. Any town that wants a state created for it must NOT RECEIVE a dime from the federal government! |
This guy's a genuis mehn! ![]() |
sjeezy8:lol! Since MASSOB threw its weight behind Jonathan, I am now supporting the guy. Those guys at home must know something about bro Jo that I don't know yet. So, go for it bro Jo. We gat yo back! ![]() |
ChinenyeN:To be frank I wasn't really addressing you, 'cos I know your mind is made up. I am addressing others who may not know the full story. State creation is a make feel good deceit. It was used successfully to undermine Biafra and it is being used today to divide brothers and loot the treasury. Those idiotic members of the house should hear us loud and clear. Take your state creation to Afghanistan! |
@ChinenyeN I'm hating the change in direction of this talk , . . On the face value, it would seem like state creation is a good thing but if you look back through the years, you would realize that division is actually evil. Most Nigerians agree that we were happier in the old Nigeria with 3 or 4 regions than when 12 states were created. I was happier in the East-central state than I was in old Anambra state. I was happier in old Anambra state than I am now in the new Anambra State. It is only logical to conclude that I will be happier in the current Anambra state than when another state is carved out of it. For every new state creation, we produce quantity, but lose more quality of general life: leadership, economy, education, social harmony, cultural stability and language. Above all, we sow evil seeds of disunity among brothers. The initial state creation by Gowon in 1967 was a WAR STRATEGY. How can it be a good thing in time of peace? For every new state created in Nigeria, something precious dies! I want onlyONE STATE IN THE EAST! ![]() |
Good God! I hate divisions! ![]() Since Nigeria changed from three regions, things have never been the same. And when Gowon created 12 states, all hell broke loose! We have gone from divisions to more divisions ever since. Can't these idiots in the Nigerian congress use their heads for once? ![]() Na wa o! We need mergers of all these lame appendages into viable and autarkic regions. ![]() |

), leadership is about pointing out the harm in that!
