odumchi: Eze Onlytruth, congrats on your victory. As I hand over the royal stool, your reign is officially legitimized. Nwanne nmadu, gawa na iru.Dalu nwanne m. Ka Chineke umu Igbo nonyere gi. Biko anyi na atukwa anya ihe inwere ike imere umu Igbo. Jisie ike. |
remark D: and while ièm at it, Eze Onlytruth, I really think that there should be more concrete goals and objectives, and even a blue print if possible, of the mission youo will be leading us to... even review points along the way to assess progress and re-strategizing if and where possible... i will like to see tangible things being made posssible by this process... since we spend so much time on nairaland, instead of fighting the ÈOfemanusÈ maybe the fight can be a fight for peace and collectively ridding bias and the hate from and to both sides ... i have too much n my mind that its all coming out at once... but hope you get an idea of what i am saying.. or at least, trying to sayÉDalu nwanne m. Please get ready to join the government. Nna goment ohuu anyi ebe a ga adi egwu. Please think of your unique special talents and dust them up for service. ![]() |
Gboliwe: Where you send me, I will go. What you say, I will do. ![]() Nne biko gbaghara m. I'm very greatful for your support, and your offer of service. GET READY. Start thinking of what you are REALLY GOOD at. We want to deliver using our BEST talents. Every human has a talent, and we plan to harness the full talent of umu Igbo, to effect a powerful change to Igbo fortune. |
Gboliwe: Congratulations.Thank you my brother. Please start thinking of what role you can play for Ndigbo. Our new government ga adi egwu. |
Cha cha cha Igbo kwenu! ![]() Kwenu!! Kwezuonu! Ndigbo ga adi ndu! ![]() Umunne m, We have done it yet again. We have just successfully organized the freest and fairest online elections ever recorded in Nigeria. Onye si na o di nfe, ya bia me ka anyi hu! (if anyone says it was easy, let him attempt it, let's see how far he can go!) The feat is remarkable by any standard: the HIGH performance standard of our electoral team led by our able Chief electoral commissioner PointB, and our queen -Eze Nwanyi Ndigbo Nairaland Ogugua88; then the defacto "protocol officers" of the electoral commission -9ja_I-hail and manny4life (our just discovered data processor in chief!); ezigbo nwa Igbo Afam4eva who worked closely with our Mod friend OAM4J; all these ensured that the process was transparent and spotless. The process was so superbly implemented that at a time I thought I was watching a US electoral process! ![]() Igbo kwenu! ![]() I wish to quickly congratulate my brothers in arms Alex101 (oyiri Eze 1 of Nairaland -he is just like me! ), and Biafra_rep who I'm sure would have made a great Eze as well. Umunne m, you graced this process with your offer of service, and I promise that you shall be given that opportunity to serve Ndigbo here; just get ready, we are now where we need to be. Ugo eberego na mgbagbu! Thanks for a great brotherly "fight". I wish to also congratulate the entire Igbo nation who made this a thing of pride for us all. Though a few of our people attempted to deviate the process, they were largely gently nudged into line, and some of them repented when they saw a smooth process unfolding. Heck even non-Igbo trolls joined the effort to deliver a flawless process! It means we are gradually winning the moral war with the force of our cultural moral values. Soon, we shall deliver a knock out punch on the satanic forces trying to hold Igbo down, and foist our own standards of morality on Nigeria, nay Africa! Igbo kwenu ozo! ![]() Umu Igbo di nnukwu egwu! ![]() Some few hours from now, I shall unfold the methodology of the new Eze Ndigbo III tenure which begins today (Saturday March 2, 2013). At this juncture, I wish to thank Ngwakwe, re@lchange, xtgozie, tChidi (my latest wife by fire by force ), and ALL other volunteers who have already offered to work for Ndigbo. As for those who have not volunteered, please start thinking of what you are good at now, and offer your service when I put up a thread for recruitment of Igbo Nairaland "government". I shall do that before the end of today Saturday, March 2, 2013.Finally, I wish to thank our outgoing Eze Odumchi for his service to Ndigbo. Forever, there will be Eze Ndigbo Nairaland II, and his name is Odumchi. The celebration shall run hand in hand with the formation of our new government. Ka Chineke gozie Ndigbo (May God bless the Igbo nation). Isee! Signed, Yours truly, Onlytruth, Ndu di n'eziokwu 1 of Igboland. ![]() |
manny4life: After tomorrow, when I'm free of this election, and can speak, I will want to elaborate on this part. This is one part that's dear to my heart, a lot of people cannot see the handwriting on the wall. Anyway, after tomorrow, when we've elected our new Eze, then I can speak.I hope you remember that I was harping constantly on this international gateway issue almost throughout last year. Our governors are busy with irrelevant projects while ignoring projects that can liberate our economy and dictate the future direction of the Nigerian economy. Well, we shall see. |
ugojamali: Yes that should be at the forefront of our agitation. It is true that the east has the most economically influential men in Nigeria but the lack of many amenities has seriously hampered our progress and subjected us to massive underdevelopment. We igbos should seriously clamor for our own seaport, at least two international airports. We should also tackle our state governments to expedite massive infrastructural development in order to boost our foreign image and attract foreign investment. If we can make our cities heavenly why would we all want to run to lagos? Lagos would want to run to us!!!Every regular Igbo in Nairaland knows that for the past year, I have been clamoring for THREE international airports in Igboland. When I started that agitation, a lot of our people here dampened it, with some saying we need other basic infrastructure like roads first. I was basically alone in shouting till my voice went hoarse, that what we need FIRST is an INTERNATIONAL GATEWAY. After that, all things shall follow. I believe that Manny4life here would remember when I was doing it. What made me sad was that a MAJORITY of our people here couldn't foresee the IMMEDIATE NEED for these International airports. I couldn't understand their view at all. Well, I was Eze, so I kept harping on it! ![]() Today, Lagos is abusing our being there, and our governors are not ashamed. What does it take to give Igboland THREE international airports? All it takes is for Gov Peter Obi to cross the river Niger and sit down with Gov Uduaghan of Delta, they both approach Jonathan and mount pressure to convert Asaba to international airport. Enugu is already an international airport. In the case of Owerri, all it takes is for Govs Rochas (Imo) and TA Orji (Abia) to approach GEJ and make the same demand for Owerri to start FULL international operations. All these things are VERY possible, and we need these airports. One airport is good, but if we are serious about exploding Igboland with massive economic growth, WE NEED THESE AIRPORTS. As for the seaports, Onitsha and Oguta can serve, but the SE Govs also need to sit down with Gov Akpabio of Akwa Ibom, to seriously discuss how to bring Ibaka online (being a deep sea port). Again this is possible now that GEJ is still in office. In any case, let's pray that I win this election so that we can bring attention and heat on these issues. ![]() |
Noiseless2: Anything with malam nasir hell rufai/ndu_chucks's support and blessings is automatically against my interest period, by the way good to know that you are doing alot of things for us offline.hehehe! ndu_chucks must be having a laugh of his life by now. I bet you he will be praying so hard that I lose this election so that he will have airheads like you to deal with. lol Nna this is the point I stop this exchange with you. Water has levels biko. Bye. ![]() |
mafifle: Onlytruth, please translate this +1000 to physical actions that you will take asumming anything hapaens to IhejirikaIn my book of military strategy, Ihejirika should by now have recruited THOUSANDS of Igbo into the army, and placed them in strategic positions. Nigeria is an open book exam. Only a fool would be taken unawares; but then again only a BIGGER fool would go about mouthing off. I am assuming that Ihejirika is NOT a fool. |
Noiseless2: It's quite interesting to see how you jumped so quick to cast your blames on massob youths and others but cleverly avoided the cases regarging all the individuals and events which I mentioned earlier in the post you just responded, you should be using this opportunity to puting the blames on massaob & co's leadership like RALPH UWAZURIKE & co instead, who have long been hanging out with top politicians and getting bought up inluding the same seating governor Obi, who by the way knows everything about the ezu river killing, and which you also cleverly avoided mentioning his name well I understand why because just recently you tried to sell how wonderful he is, and bragged about posting pictures of his archievements but showed nothing in the end. One wonders what was Onlytruth trying to archieve by this sudden change?Nna, how long have you even been in this Nairaland sef? The video I have is about 9 GB of data. I reconsidered posting it when I found out that I would need to slice and cut it into pieces. I don't have the time, so I shelved it. You accuse me of being a Peter Obi lover, but turn a blind eye to my criticism of him for his shoot at sight order on MASSOB at Onitsha some years ago. A peter Obi lover would at least spend time to post the videos, wouldn't you say, because the roads I saw were GOOD, and I did not take the videos in towns. I really think that for someone who claims to love Ndigbo and want us to militantly challenge Nigeria, your pugnacious tactics here speaks volumes. As for me, I have ONE AIM -> 1967-70 debacle MUST NEVER REPEAT AGAIN. I also used to brag that if Ojukwu had someone of my thinking style, there is NO WAY FOR BIAFRA TO LOSE THAT WAR. NO WAY. ![]() |
Noiseless2: Thanks bro, but more happy for us to have a leader who would not be ignorant of our situation, everyone must not be in leadership but we can all contribute in many ways.No no, you cannot get off so easily. In my worldview of leadership, the type I plan to institute here if I win, EVERYBODY MUST BE INVOLVED. I stated that I plan to work WITH Ndigbo, not FOR them. I have an Igbo proverb which basically says that if you plan to climb a tree to catch a particular animal that lives in tree trunks, you must first ensure that you see the animals poo on the ground first. I have been in Nairaland long enough to know which Igbo is serious about Igbo things, by the number of posts and times they've championed Igbo cases here. For one to be a successful champion of any sport, he must have trained in the sport for sometime. Even Obama had to become a US senator first, before aspiring for presidency. The Bible also says that he that is trustworthy in little is trustworthy in much. How can anyone in all conscience criticize leaders while conveniently excluding himself from even the smallest role of leadership? In my leadership worldview, you lose the right to criticize, once you refuse to jump in and do things yourself. You claim to be doing things offline, like you are the only one. lol Nna, if you love Ndigbo as you claim, please cast your vote and go and sit down quietly. Thanks. |
mafifle: Are you saying post independence we are not in "a PERMANENTLY DYSFUNCTIONAL Nigeria" and by implication entangled with "a prime enemy of Igbo survival"?Nna the great Ikemba always spoke in riddles, but we umu Igbo always understood him. How can this small riddle prove too hard for a typical nwa afo? ![]() Nna use your tongue to count your teeth. ![]() |
saintohia: ^^^^^^BTW Bros, did you notice that Ojukwu Library in Owerri was pulled down by unknown persons? The act happened right inside Igbo heartland. Can you explain it to me? I hope you know it was pulled down by Igbo persons. These are the things I'm pondering and wringing my fingers. We have a long way to go to our emancipation. |
alfaman1: I am very happy that my vote for you was not counted. I thought you were being a cunning politician but you were actually advocating one nigeria first and igbo independence as last resort. Infact you really have no political conviction. You just follow where the breeze blows. Your belief depends on if, ifs of other people's actions. If nigeria would, if igbo that.My brother that is a miscategorization of my political views. It seems that a lot of us don't understand the need for diplomatic speak. You want us to vomit everything here so that our enemies would be ready for us. Is that how we shall secure our future, whether in Nigeria or Biafra? Do you know that we have already spoken too much? Our political opponents in Nigeria are not sleeping , you know. Nna ike gwuru. |
Ngwakwe: The fear of Biafra secession and Niger Delta Agitation made the National Assembly the veto a bill that created NNDC.Words of wisdom. Endorsed. ![]() |
saintohia: ^^^^^^Nwanne, I am yet to see a TRUE leader that speaks verbose. Diplomatic talk is what most serious leaders use. In the case of our situation in Nigeria, such diplomatic talk is CRUCIAL, especially NOW (as we approach 2015). Ndigbo si na nkita na ata ata adighi agbo uja. If MASSOB were like MEND, I bet you there would be few Igbo that would not support them. How many times have you seen Ijaw talking about what they plan to do in Nigeria? All you see is ACTION. Don't you think we've long past talk times? Why I keep saying that I believe in a Biafra of last resort is because I have not seen any SERIOUS effort by Ndigbo to pursue Biafra. ALL our intellectuals are still very much withdrawn from it. A siting governor issued a shoot at sight against MASSOB in Onitsha. These are the things to ponder first before asking these questions. We have been in Nairaland for sometime trying to organize Igbo voice around ANY issue -to basically coalesce around ONE idea for our future. It has been TOUGH. Is that HOW we shall get Biafra? Nna I always say that the change I desire starts with ME. I pray that some of us would adopt that philosophy because that is the only way for us to achieve anything whether as Nigerias or as Biafrans. |
One_Naira: After reading the back forth between onlytruth and some of the commentors, I have to say onlytruth just lost my vote. Any Igbo who still believe in the scam of "one Nigeria" need not only stay as far away from any leadership pertaining Igbo people but he should also take a look at what's happening in Nigeria and ask himself "Do I really think there is such thing as "one Nigeria""?Before calling me a "One Nigeria" champion, please make sure you represent me fully. For the record, I stated that "a PERMANENTLY DYSFUNCTIONAL Nigeria is a prime enemy of Igbo survival, and we should use ALL our resources to leave it". It is here in this thread, all you need do is go back and read. What I would never support is a one track mind towards Biafra without thinking HOW to actualize it, and in the process history repeats itself. Ndigbo need a functioning country, be it Nigeria or Biafra. So, if you are interested in quoting me, please quote me properly. Thanks. |
Noiseless2: The worst mistake any Igbo would make in life as things have continued to be in nigeria is to have "one nigeria" as a first option,The people that have Igbo blood in their hands are people like MASSOB and others who have ZERO realistic plans for Biafra's actualization, yet they go about shouting up and down, alerting our enemies and in the process unwittingly defeating any chance of that ever happening. We are all Igbo and are each entitled to our opinions. I would start by asking you to volunteer into the cabinet of the next Eze (whoever that may be) and make PERSONAL sacrifices for the rest of Igbo first, before accusing others of strange things. A wisest Igbo is one who is determined NEVER to repeat the mistake of 1967-70. As long as there are wise and smart Igbo around, IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN. I hope I win this election so that I will assign you a personal role and see how well you perform it, before pointing fingers. The Nigeria of today is one that we can use to make a lot of things happen ( again I won't give any details, but smart folks can figure it out), provided we don't rush off like people with little thinking. |
manny4life: My brother Onlytruth,I welcome a Radio Biafra that focuses on telling our (Igbo and Eastern Nigerian ) story to the world, eg. by debunking false information peddled against us from the war era till date. My views on Biafra is well atticulated in my manifesto. My job as Eze Ndigbo here is to focus on making sure that Igbo voices are heard loud and clear here, and that Igbo pull together to move with the full force of Igwe bu ike. |
Noiseless2: @Onlytruth, thank you for making clear where you stand in the Indigbo issues, haven gone through what you have outlined as your vision, [b]I must ask if you think DR.AZIKIWE wasn't a very naive Igbo politician who blindly refused to see what the Hausa/fulanis really are by not opting out of a "united nigeria"My brother, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe did his best for Ndigbo in his days. Nigeria is an enigmatic country. You need to pick up books about the pre-independence Nigeria to see how Zik did his best for Ndigbo and for Nigeria as a whole. His NCNC was a political warhorse that would have continued to unite Eastern Nigeria and Mid-west (and even Middle-belt) for years to come, had the January 1966 coup not happened. I used to criticize him a lot, but have since toned down my criticisms. But back to the core idea behind your question, which is the assumed aloofness or cluelessness of "Zikism" in contemporary Nigerian political historical narratives; I (and every Igbo) should rather build on what Zik tried to do using his NCNC. It was not a perfect party, but it gave Igbo unassailable prime position in Nigeria. Nigeria worked under Igbo leadership (civil service, military etc). So, he was not as clueless as I had thought. We were in prime position pre-January 1966. The venom unleashed against us after the failure of Ironsi, stemmed largely from envy for our position in Nigeria under Zik's NCNC. We had it all before the boys struck in January 1966. That coup (which BTW was carried out to save the West) did us in, not Zik. What we need to do today is to build on our past successess. I am happy that under GEJ we are gradually rebuilding. MORE of our efforts should now focus on building the infrastructure of Igboland to make it the economic HUB in the East. I want to see a triangle of sorts in Igboland that holds the economy of the East, and Nigeria as a whole. We can rule Nigeria with our economic might, and then use that to shape the government policy. My brother I foresee a time when only qualified people will be admitted to security forces, and not based on any crazy quota system. It is already beginning to happen under Ihejirika. In a Nigeria of free and fair competition, who do you think can outcompete Ndigbo? lol So, the summary of my submission is that we can (and WILL) eventually inherit Nigeria; and I bet you that those who did everything to stop us from seceding will be gnashing their teeth then. All these sacrifices in blood will pay one day. Let's just choose the right leaders, and watch as all these come to past. We must never repeat past mistakes whereby we cared more about other regions of Nigeria than our own (like the boys of January 1966 did); Zik never did that. He empowered Ndigbo, the coup boys blew it all. These are all I can say for now. |
Noiseless2: Bro, Please could you help by bringing to Onlytruth's attention to explain why he refused to respond to the question I put to him yesterday. My brother in all honesty I did not see your question. I answered all other questions I saw. I am a very busy man (as I stated that already, but would adopt a deliberate strategy to ensure that our voices are not drowned in this forum). So, please bear with me. I shall get to your questions next. Thanks. |
Ngwakwe: Gov. Orji Kalu once told his South East counterpart during one of their South East Governors Forum;I believe that the man spoke the truth. In all honesty, Kalu is an enigma to me. There was time I thought he was going to be the new "Ikemba", but later his stewardship in Abia state came under much criticism. But back to the point he made. I believe that a people with such a war-loss history as Ndigbo, should never form an organization like current MASSOB. We have to learn to look at ourselves the way our enemy looks at us. Our enemy knows that we lost a war and are bitter about that loss, so they are ever vigilant to use maximum force to stop a revisit of that war. That fact alone should warn us about the likelihood of a violent response from those enemies. Pray then, how could anyone go about the streets in Igboland, carrying Biafran flags, and claiming non-violent Biafran secession? It just doesn't add up for me. Let's take a cue from our Ijaw neighbors. In 1966, Adaka Boro launched his "revolution" that was crushed by the Nigerian army. Fast foward to late 1990s -2000s, the Ijaw launched MEND, with HEAVIER arms, and got further than Adaka. That is a simple logical progression of things. I don't support MASSOB because they don't make sense. For them to make sense to me, they must disappear from the streets of Igboland first, and stop providing would be mass murderers with a pretext to kill freely in Igboland. I would only support a reasonable MASSOB; just like any Ijaw would support a MEND. |
I believe I have answered all the questions posed to me. I await new ones and shall answer them as well. My name is Onlytruth; vote for me; I am "ukwa achi n'aka o na agba". What you see is what you get. ![]() I rest for now. Signing off, Yours truly, Onlytruth. ![]() |
NRI PRIEST: This is an economic related question strictly for Nwanedo,Onlytruth.... I am very glad that you accepted your nomination, even though i didnt nominate you but your fellow Anaedo and the Agukwu clown, for the fear you might pull out but that is by the way. Now to my question proper: If you becomes the EZE-IGBO Nl for the second time how would you work to influence the IGBO,especially the Omanbalas to pull their finances togethet to give them more financial muscles to compete in the Nigerian economic platform, which is currently dominated by the sw and north???This question is perhaps one of the main reasons I want us to start holding our governors to account more. They appropriate BILLIONS on our behalfs and have very little to show in the direction of your question. Imagine what would happen if they all pull their resources together to plan an economic revival for Igboland. Most of the key infrastructure needed for such economic plan can only be implemented on a regional or sub-regional level. The fact that SE lacks a direct international access (via international airports for example) costs the economy of Igboland BILLIONS in dollars. We need visionary governors. We can ensure that future governors of our states are visionaries by tasking them with these questions and holding their feets to the fire. Thanks for the question. |
berem: To the nominees, what are your plans towards the right of igbo women on this forum? We have already implemented a deliberate program to give them a stronger voice here by instituting the Eze Nwanyi Ndigbo here. She is an epitome of Igbo elegance, class, grace and intelligence, and she has a program to make sure that our women are heard loud and clear here, always. I shall always defer to her whenever issues of women arise. Her words would be final (subject to Oha na eze Ndigbo of course). ![]() |
@ACM10: I also share your views on Fajuyi. The "counter-coupers" of July 1966 always believed he was privy to the January coup. He was a marked man. |
From NgwakweQ: Can you briefly outline your manifesto and describe your vision for Ndigbo and how you intend integrating and using Igbos diversity as a source of strength in achieving our collective objectives as against what will divide us and bring shame to our future generation? A: I hope to use a strategy that will make all of us accountable for whatever fortune befalls us here and in Nigeria. Refer to my Igwe bu ike motto. I live it daily, and it shall reflect in the cabinet I will form if I win. Q: How do you intend forming your cabinet? A: I intend to form " a resilient cabinet" that would ensure that our voice is NEVER again suppressed here. Q: What will you do to reject "Defeat" as an answer when it's glaringly clear you are falling of the cliff? A: If I understand your question, I don't believe in rejecting the popular wishes of electorates. Q: When you do think, our collective effort is needed to intervene beyond the inputs of the members of your cabinet. A: Always |

), and ALL other volunteers who have already offered to work for Ndigbo. As for those who have not volunteered, please start thinking of what you are good at now, and offer your service when I put up a thread for recruitment of Igbo Nairaland "government". I shall do that before the end of today Saturday, March 2, 2013.
