Yoruba_Omoge: Mr. I don't post in Yoruba threads lmao. Why won't I post when your brother just stole Eastern Nigeria in one fell swoop. Believe me, if I didn't see any part of the East in that map, or my state mentioned, I would have moved on as usual. lol I don't expect you to believe it though. lol Will hang around until emperror Olu removes my region and state. ![]() |
oduduwarepublic: AboutErr, Emperror Olu is that you? lol Minus a few grievous mistakes here and there (some of which is to name a potentially great country after your Yoruba ancestor to the exclusion of other ancestors in the political space you annexed willy-nilly; imposition of your language as an official language, as well as including some unstable states like Plateau and Adamawa), you rightly identified regions in Nigeria that is politically stable enough to attempt nationhood. A friend of mine from Ijaw always argued that Nigeria's problem is lack of "political consciousness" -basically political illiteracy. I tended to disagree with him in that I know that it is possible to elect a progressive president in the south, but impossible to do same with the core north as part of the political space of Nigeria. We have tried it for 50-something odd years with no much success. An average southern Nigerian wants things to work (irrespective of who is making them work), while an average core northerner wants his Muslim brother to rule even if things don't work. That has been our history till date. Anyway I digress. I hope you won't mind if I come with the same map, but change the name to "Republic of Igboland" or "Republic of Biafra". ![]() The flag is not bad either, except for the Oduduwa head embedded in the middle. ![]() |
BTW @ Jakumo Do you make those pictures yourself? Quite ingenious. ![]() |
Jakumo: Pellow Kwantiri Man, and Pellow England manFell of chair laughing uncontrollably. ![]() I haven't laughed this much in a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time. |

PROUD-IGBO:Yes, BUT you would also agree that there are powerful forces within Nigeria (perhaps not more than three men) that are basically holding everybody hostage in that country. The rest of the country is beholden to these men who hold enormous powers of life and death, as well as carrots. If you refuse to be paid with the carrots, you may die. So, most simply take the carrot and keep quiet even while mortgaging the future of their own children. They console themselves by sending their children overseas with the money they got from these few evil men holding Nigeria hostage. Nobody knew how tenuous Iraq was until Saddam Hussein died. The whole of North Africa is yet to settle down after Gaddafi's death. Nigeria will unravel the same way, for good or for bad. Either way, don't blame the whole country yet, at least until these few evil men go the way of Saddam and Gadaffi. |
Biafra rep: Asha if you know Imo state prior to Okorocha's emergence and you travel to Imo now, you will marvel. I saw huge projects, completed and ongoing at new Owerri, I passed through Orlu and Okigwe and saw real development for the first time. Please ignore that guy his ilks, they are the types that beffudle the system and muddle up water by crying wolf were there is none. If we fail to encourage those that are performing, then we will end giving incentive to looters!Nwanne anyi choro gi. Ziterem ozi. |
I hope they are serious about picking Nigeria's president purely on MERIT. If they do that, then power would not go up core North for at least 50 years. That is how I read this statement. A region that is as backward as Somalia should not be trusted with running areas as advanced as some of the western countries (at least in terms of human resource advancement). I also hope that Metu is being serious about MERIT and not another way to self-serve. |
Bliss4Lyfe: Congrats to Eze Onlytruth...Eze Nwanyi Ogugua great job...Dalu nwanne m nwanyi. Umunne m, I am very happy to report that more and more volunteers are sending in their offers of service to Ndigbo in the Eze's cabinet. On some of the announced positions, there have been four to five volunteers for ONE position! That is the spirit. We shall get there site na ike nke Chineke. We deliberately set the bar VERY HIGH in order to get real results. We also did that because we know that our detractors cannot understand the reasoning behind it; they are inherently INCAPABLE of understanding it; that is why Nigeria is a mess. ![]() We shall impose our standards on Nigeria, BY GODS GRACE. Please keep the nominations coming. I'm humbled to be your Eze. Dalu nu! ![]() |
