My friend contacted MP and got this message. What does it mean please ?

Thank you for contacting the Ministerial Centre for Members of Parliament and Senators.

We can provide you with the following details about the status of the application for a study permit for ggggggg

The application was received at the Canadian visa office in Nairobi, Kenya, on April 11, 2022.
The responsible office is currently reviewing the application and documents submitted to determine if the applicant meets the eligibility requirements for a study permit.
The office will contact the applicant regarding the medical examination.
Due to COVID-19, IRCC is experiencing processing delays and we can’t provide you with accurate processing times for this application. Rest assured that we understand how important this process is for the applicant and are making all the necessary efforts to finalize the application as soon as possible.
As of today, no final decision has been made. The responsible office will inform the applicant in writing as soon as a decision is rendered.

Congratulations . Your PPR is a proof that God still answer prayers

Chiziteremary:
Good morning all.

Thanks to all who congratulated me. I would like to share my timeline and what i did differently in my 2nd application because i believe this will help someone.

1st Application was submitted 1st Dec 2021
Refusal was recvd 25/2/2022

From my gcm notes i discovered what i did wrong was the fact that i used my brother as additional sponsor. Even though i am self sponsor but i decided to add my brothers account for additional comfort which wasnt necessary after all. I already paid 16kcad for 1st year fees and had sufficient funds to take care of the 2nd year fees and my upkeep in my personal account. The VO's concern with my brothers account was that his payslips werent included and there were lumpsums in his account. Well for some reason my broda didnt want to give me statement of his salary account. He only gave me statement of a join account with his wife where he saves money ( he lives in the USA)

What i did differently

I never wanted to use an agent because of the cost implication and because i believed i could do it myself but i was led by the Holy spirit to use @Frankrobbin. So i decided to go ahead with him, the guy is quite professional i must say though he is so busy that you need to keep calling his attention.

The guy advised me to get professional valuation for my land and building which i did. He also advised that based on my age i shouldn't have bothered with a sponsor outside myself or hubby ( i am over 45yrs). In addition he rearranged all my documents and made them easier for the VO to see all because i had lots of documents.

I highly recommend Frank any day because he is very very professional. I didnt give him breathing space, i must confess that i wanted my application submitted fast fast because my school was meant to Start May 9th.

I also want to appreciate @Anon123, @NorthernshoreLS. NorthernshoreLS thanks a lot, you were the person to 1st advice me to use Frank even though i didnt want to initially. This forum is indeed full of wonderful brothers and sisters.

My prayer is that we shall all get our PPR's soonest in Jesus name.

Amen

Hello Daslimo,
Do you know the reason why you have not received responses from people here is because God has already blessed you with visa to one of the best countries in the world and you still want to worry about IRCC and their delay method.
Let me even shock you Australia is even better than Canada.

Buy your ticket now and japa before they change their mind.

Daslimo:
Hello Gurus in the house, I really need your help!!!!

Program: PhD
Sart date: Fall 2022

Visa Application details:
Applied: April 15, 2022
Medical (Upfront) : April 20, 2022 (passed)
Biometrics Enrolment: April 20, 2022
Biometrics - May 6, 2022:Completed.

Have been waiting for their feedback but I just received news from Australia. My study permit has been granted and I am expected to arrive in Australia before July 11th. Just wrote this email via the IRCC webform and thought I should share it.
______________________________________
Dear IRCC,
I applied for a study permit and was hoping I'd know the results of my application sooner to help me plan for travel and enrollment into the PhD program.

Alongside my acceptance by a Canadian university and the subsequent Student Visa application, I also had been accepted by an Australian university and have been granted an Australian student permit; however, Canada is my first choice and I would appreciate it if the results of my Canadian Visa application are provided sooner (within this month- June 2022).

It wouldn't be a wise decision to keep waiting in uncertainty while the clock ticks toward my enrollment date in Australia (July 11 2022).
I would really appreciate it if my application is evaluated sooner. This would help me make necessary travel plans among other necessary decisions.

I am really looking forward to a timely response in the hopes that my student visa application is successful.
Thanks in anticipation of your reply.

______________________________________

from the email, you can understand what my problem is and why I need an urgent response.

What would you advise?
Should I just carry my bag dey go to Australia or wait it out?

Please feel free to be as brutally honest as you can... I am a Nigerian living in Asia (also currently enrolled in a PhD program that I'd have to dump for better soil and opportunities).

All feedback is welcome at this point and I am REALLY craving your responses.

Thanks in anticipation.

Far too many times, prospective applicants applicants ask me questions relating to this topic.

In this post, I will carefully address the real issues and meaning behind "Recommend Interview". I hope every participant on this platform makes the most of the information below.

Kindly be advised that every immigration applications submitted to IRCC are reviewed by at least two levels of people:

1. *Program Case Analyst:*

Most of the time, it's the Program Case Analyst who does the initial R-10 check that often positions certain applications on "Recommend Interview". They review all information present on file and can only make recommendations as per the applicant's circumstance - i.e, recommended interview (RI), review required (RR), recommended refusal/eligibility failed (EF). The Program Case Analyst may also be able to refuse some ill-equipped applications due to poor documentation.

*Reason for Recommend Interview;*

The eligibility status - "Recommend Interview" is mostly common when the Program Case Analyst has certain concerns about the submission of the applicant for an immigration application to Canada.

This is largely due to some irregularities on the applicant's employment reference letter and inability to verify applicant's work experience, ineligible financial documents to cover for the applicant's proposed program and upkeep in Canada, and in some cases due to salaries being paid by cash at applicant's place of work.

2. *Senior Immigration Officer*

The Senior immigration officer (visa officer) will then review the notes and assessments of the program case analyst and make the final decision, this also includes whether or not an interview is required. If an interview is necessary to continue processing your application, the status would change to "interview required". However, since the inception of the COVID-19 pandemic, IRCC have not been conducting interviews for prospective applicants both for work permit, spousal sponsorship, parents sponsorship and some other PR applications. In view of the foregoing, an immigration officer may disregard a recommended interview and subsequently grant an approval.

My observations;

I have reviewed several GCMS notes as of recent and in the past and I have come to understand that majority of applicant's with "Recommend Interview" as the current eligibility assessment on their GCMS notes are later in the visa process approved by the Senior Immigration Officer.

Although, in a few cases, some applications may be rejected due to the limited knowledge on the applicant's part to address the initial concerns. This also stems from the fact that the format is not clearly spelled out by the immigration authorities.

This is not much of a bother you know, i would recommend you check properly for the pre-assessment notes/comments which can be found on the page 2 or the last two pages of the Gcms notes.

Teezkid:
Why do I have this feeling “recommended interview” is when they are about to assess your eligibility ?

As far you have been given procedural fairness letter write and give concrete reasons with evidences but that application will be refused.
Only God/miracle can make that application approved.

Please I noticed that most applicants here use universities instead of college. I have BSC from Nigeria and got I20 for Associate degree at portland community college.

Is using a college a red flag ?
Does the VO check academic progression ?.

Should I continue with the sevis payment and visa application ?

CHIKACIC:
My people from the bottom of my heart I say THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
As is our slogan: It will go round and end in praises!

Lonnnnnnnng Post Alert!!!!

One of my numerous mantras is: “As long as there is life, there is hope”.

First of all.....TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!
I choose this moniker “CHIKACIC” meaning: God pass Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). My story will throw more light.

Personal profile:
I am 43. YES! I am a 43 year old lawyer, wife and mother of three (2 boys and 1 girl).

My quest for visa started way back in 2003/2004; during Law School/after the death of my father/NYSC.

First UK visa application (Visit) was in 2004 - refused.
Second UK visa application (Visit) in 2006 - refused.
Third UK visa application (Study) in 2008 - refused.
Fourth UK visa application (Visit) in 2011 - approved.
Fifth UK visa application (Visit) in 2020 - approved, but wasn’t used cos of COVID.

My interest has always been in the UK, because that’s where I have family members (a distant Uncle and 2 younger sisters), one of whom is my financial sponsor together with her husband and conquering my study visa refusal has always been on my bucket list.
Post 2008, I have continuously applied and received countless admission letters for graduate studies in the UK, but God said no it is not yet my time. God willing, I hope to check that off in my bucket list in the nearest future.
In 2013/2014, US Diversity Visa lottery caught my interest before it was later scrapped for Nigeria (heard we have exceeded our quota limit).
My interest in Canada started in 2015 as per Express Entry, but my scores and funds were low ( family of 4 then).
I gave birth to my daughter in April 2017, which was the year they had the lowest score till date in the Express entry (FSWP) history. (415 in April and 413 in May). My score was fluctuating between 420/414. Unfortunately, I missed that opportunity because I stopped monitoring the program during my pregnancy. I got to know about the scores later in the year. Mennnn, e painnnn me, I no go lie. Since then, the scores has not favored me because of age (the policy of -5 marks after every birthday). So all eyes moved to study visa. The rest they say is history.

BUT I WILL STILL TESTIFY TO KEEP HOPE ALIVE:

First time applicant to Canada.

Upfront Medical: February 10
Submitted online with IELTS: March 1
(This was the IELTS I wrote in April 2019 for Express Entry to expire April 2021). I also wrote another one in March 2021 as the previous one is about to expire.
Biometric Request: March 2
Biometric Completed: March 4
I didn’t notice when my Background check started.
NSE Request for POF: March 5 to expire on April 5 (which I ignored because of UK sponsors).
Medical Passed: March 9

Then eerie silence.......no update whatsoever for almost 5 months. (March 9 to July 21). This platform helped me a lot during this period. You all are the bomb!

I think sometime in May I sent a LOE to Nairobi via web form and email explaining why I ignored the NSE request because my POF came from the UK. Receipt acknowledged, but no official response.

Then in June I did three things:

1. 7th June, I sent an email to Nairobi, Lagos, London, and Beijing offices to know the status of my application, which has exceeded the standard processing time. Got the generic response.

2. Ordered for my GCMS notes via Anon123 on June 25th - yet to receive that. (Now I am very very curious to know how the whole thing went down).

3. June 30th, I sent a mail to the MP representing my school location and on July 14th, I got a feedback from the MP’s office that my Medical and Background checks are complete, and Eligibility is under review.

NOTE: As at the time I got this feedback, there was no update (ghost or otherwise) on my IRCC profile from March 9th (my last update as per Medicals) until yesterday 4:39pm and 4:40pm July 21st 2021, when I got three consecutive emails asking me to check my account for messages.

Na pounding heart/trembling hands I take login ooo.
The first thing I noticed was that my eligibility is under review and I was like oh noooo more waiting. Then I scrolled down and saw application APPROVED!
In front of my husband and children, I went down on my knees thanking and praising GOD, because na in hand I dey/na in hand I carry myself put along with my imperfect application package throughout this journey.
MY PEOPLE, WITH GOD BY YOUR SIDE:
IF YOU CAN DREAM IT, YOU CAN ACHIEVE IT!
IF THAT DESIRE IS STILL IN YOUR HEART NOTWITHSTANDING THE OBSTACLES AND SETBACKS YOU HAVE ENCOUNTERED, KEEP HOPE ALIVE. IT WILL SURLY COME TO PASS.

TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!!!!!!!!!

Congrats Madam. God is indeed faithful.

I would like to use this opportunity to thank @Frankrobbn1 for working out my very difficult and complex case to a happy ending. Coming in contact with @Frankrobbn1 is one of the best thing that has happened to me. Word alone can not express my sincere gratitude to the incredible support and top-notch immigration services he rendered to me throughout the process. I have had the opportunity to work with few other consultants on my immigration case and I can say with every sense of responsibility that @Frankrobbn1 is unarguably one of the best persons I have ever worked with. I respect his personality and how professional he is in making my dream of relocating to Canada a success.

My first conversation with Mr Frank was after I had been denied for five (5) times and after speaking with him on the phone for over an hour, i was more than convinced that he is the right person to handle my case, so I decided to give it a shot again without minding the cost implications. I am incredibly impressed with the way and manner @Frankrobbn1 handled my case. Believe it or not, Mr. Frank is very knowledgeable in dealing with refused applications and he pays detailed attention to people's issues.

If you are out there looking for a professional to assist you in all your immigration case, @frankrobbn1 of fandrglobal.com is your last bus stop and I strongly recommend him because he will make your Canada dream come through as he did for me.

Thank you everyone for making this platform a source of Happiness and devoting the time to help others succeed. You guys are good. I wish you all the best of luck and a successful application.

Please did you get any message in respect of debit to crown before this procedural fairness message ?

The Eagle has landed.. PPR guys!
It came in yesterday.

Already differed to January 2022.

2nd application
Applied Dec 28th, 2020

NSE request Jan 4th 2021
I opted out: did nothing and allowed the 30days reply period elapse.

Got an update on the official receipt of application and commencement of processing of application 8th Feb 2021.

My program was to resume 17th May, 2021. Got no response. I lost hope. Started preparing for yet another application for September and hoped to apply to other countries because I definitely had to leave this country.
I dragged my feet rather than differ immediately hence Sept 2021 was filled and had to differ to Jan 2022.

Applied gcms 20th May... silly me, should have done that earlier... ( felt like they abandoned by application until the 3rd party company asked for an update on the application)

Medical request came June 3rd 2021,

Did medicals 17th, June.
Medicals updated: passed 22nd June.

Passport request (PPR) 24th.

I'm currently in lagos what company is most reliable to send documents? Where should it be sent and how much..

Pls help guys... thanks.

Wow Congratulations. God is good !!

Maybe there was chargeback because I'm suspecting the person that paid for me.

Let's keep hoping in God.. Just know that It's only a temporary delay caused intentional by IRCC.

I have seen my GCMS notes and it looks positive.

It will surely end in Praise for us.

i was waiting for them to request for medical from me. Unfortunately on April 21, I received a request letter from the embassy stating that i had an outstanding debt of 235CAD to crown for the previous Immigration service(s) rendered, processing should stop. After i called the phone number on the request letter and another link was giving to me to make a fresh payment after the payment i uploaded payment receipt with explanation letter and embassy acknowledged the payment till today nothing have changed on my status and i have decided to book for my medical and i have ordered for GCMS notes.

I am January applicant having the same issue. Mine was $150 debit to crown. I got the mail on April 6 so I generate a new payment receipt with explanation letter on April 7 and attached till this moment no update from IRCC.

However, I have ordered for my GCMS notes yet to arrive and book my medical. This waiting is not easy ooooooo....

Long Post Alert:

Talk about being happy, today is one of the happiest days of my past one year.

A year and six days after my first visa application (AOR June 16, 2020), I finally got PPR on my second application (AOR: Feb 26).

This has been a very tiresome journey. Initially, I thought that applying for PhD admission would be the most challenging part of it all, but I never knew that that was the easiest part really. Between Feb and March 2020, I got admission and funding offers from U of Manitoba, Western, and USask. Opted for USask. Submitted my first visa application on June 16, 2020, when I knew almost nothing about the Canadian visa application process. I hadn't even discovered Nairaland then. I committed one error, that of submitting only my funding offer letter as proof of fund, without submitting a bank statement. Sadly, that first application was refused based on personal assets and financial status.

Visa refusal: January 4, 2021

Guided by all the information I got from the good folks here on Nairaland, I reapplied on February 26.

AOR: Feb 26
NSE Request: Feb 28
I sent them my Mybankstatement and IELTS waiver request letter less than 20 minutes after the NSE request came in

Ideologically opposed to taking IELTS, I had preemptively written and armed myself with an IELTS Waiver Request Letter, in which I argued against the logicality of asking an English PhD student to submit IELTS test scores. Silly me though, that letter sounded as if I was beefing with IRCC — and, yes, I was really mad at them due to my initial visa refusal.

You see, one of the things that made me very angry about that first visa refusal was that in the GCMS notes I obtained weeks after the painful hit, the visa officer remarked twice that they had asked me over three months earlier to send my bank statement or that of a sponsor, which I failed to do. Dianyi, I didn't receive any email from them requesting for any such thing. And there was no request letter sent via GCKey either. So I just couldn't understand their wahala. My guess is that probably due to a glitch in their system, the email they generated ended up not getting sent to me, even though it was showing in the 'Outgoing' section of the GCMS notes. So my blood was hot as I was writing the IELTS waiver request, which they never actually honoured, as I learnt.

Eligibility review started on April 22, that's two days after I contacted the office of the MP representing USask to make enquiries on my behalf regarding the lag in updating my application.

Medical was updated on May 18.

Oh, boy! Na then wey the real anxiety come start. Coming here to Nairaland everyday to read other people's testimonies became like a full time job for me, just as my fingers got automatically configured to opening my GCKey account more than 20 times a day: almost as a first thing anytime I bring up my phone to press.

At a point I almost fell into huge depression. Put off my phone line, got off WhatsApp, deactivated my Nairaland account (that's why you'll see that this current moniker I'm using is newly created, just one alphabet different from 'Uzomachukwu' which was the account I had previously been using here).

Last week when Omalinze (whose visa application I prepared and submitted the same period I was working on my second application) called to tell me that his visa has been approved, I was happy and, yet, cried. Mine was an ambiguous mix of happiness and sadness. He too understood, and kept reassuring me that I was going to get my PPR soon. But you see, one of my 'positive' personal failings, if at all it should be so-called, is that I'm a man who is very much taken to the hermeneutics of suspicion, a young man who has been trained by life to believe in working from the point of pessimism (suspicion) towards the middle point of reality (concrete experience), before arriving at the point of optimism. So it's usually difficult for me to let myself be persuaded to move from pessimism to optimism without first beholding, almost like a Thomas (well, in Nigeria, suspicion has its many uses).

PPR: June 21, 2021.

All I can say about this journey is: All glory be to Jehovah, the father of tender mercies, alone.

And to all the persons here doing the fine work of elucidating the many riddles of IRCC, and helping others through their application, I say: May what you desire locate you. Thanks to you all.

Congratulations bro. God has blessed you. Canada will surely favour you.

My friend I applied since October 2020

Oga it's not easy at all. I have a friend too still waiting for decision since October 2020.
My own is since Jan and I am already feeling depressed. I can imagine how you feel everyday to check your email and GC Key without any update. Almost 9 months looking for visa. IRCC should deliver the visa for you like a new born baby. 9 months no b moi moi
I wouldn't ask you to send webforms and emails to IRCC because we know their usual generic response. God will see us through this immigration process.

Don't worry this new week shall bring good news to all PPRs and MRs hopefuls. It will end in praise.
