Lagos has been blessed with progressive leaders right from the days of Mobolaji Bank Anthony to Lateef Jakande up to what we are seeing today OK! We can see how u have refuse to make ur own East and decide to make Lagos we can see the correlation indeed! Forget about those coming to Lagos from Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti, Ogun they are all Southwest U too can also go to other Southeast State and reside. Leave Lagos alone OK! Since u are more superior but decide to be retrogressive that's ur own cup of tea and not any bodies headache.

I think most igbos born in Lagos are suffering from inferiority complex in a different level, they can't compete with hardworking igbos who came from east, they resort to stereotype Yorubas have for igbos that igbos are greedy and are ritualist. I met most in school, their variation of intellect is speaking Yoruba among themselves.

First I thought that was confidence till I started moving along with them, I came to understand they lack the essentials of life which is cultural image. They are lost, not there, not here. I finally visited their abode in Lagos and my fear was confimed. It's not confidence but inferiority complex. Some of their family live below an average family in the East or below the socalled igbotic element they dissent . In the end I came to understand that igbos born and brought up in Lagos have all perfected the act of pretence/forming.

Am currently tutoring one why he should speak Igbo often to create an image for himself and people around him. The guy is very confused when I met him cos of the story they kept telling him about the east he has not visited. The little Igbo he knows he is ashamed to speak it but he is learning faster and i wish he learns more fast.

What is wrong for someone speaking a Language he or she understands if I may ask u? Hard working is relative OK! So don't generalize. If they are hard working what are they looking for in Lagos? They would have remained in the East and flourish very well. If eastern base Igbo's are so hard working why do we still have more poor once than the once that are rich? U detest Lagos born Igbo's because they decided to behave like people who are expose u call it forming. Mr it is u that is feeling inferior OK! They decide not to speak ur Igbo is it by force even if they are Igbo's is it a law they have violated ?

What is the ideology of the Eastern base Igbo that's where u should start from and not the other way round. I schooled in the east and I also witness the way they behave and carry them selves. The eastern brought ups are filled with so much hate wap ideas. They have refuse to liberate them selves with the ideas and stories handed down to them with liberality but instead they took it hook, line and sinker all at once. They want u to hate like them follow traditions that are not progressive be hostile follow the syndrome of u should make it whether hook or crook. What is the complain the Op is even making so that we can tackle it head on with him because he could not point exactly what the Lagos Igbo's have done wrong. What is wrong in speaking the Language u understand with another person that understands it too? Your Governors and traditional rulers who are Igbo custodians what have they been able to do in the east with all their Igbo wholesomeness. Lagos is progressive because of the liberality so if an Igbo Lagos brought up has caught into it leave them and face your wholesomeness as an Igbo eastern brought up. Nobody cares about that it doesn't put food on the table.

and he did call the police a couple of times admist heated arguments.....I was tired of always being the one to quarrel in my house so I obeyed most rules as patiently as I could and I found out I was living peacefully, it also became my habit everywhere I go (having to be more patient and calm), and yes it helped in my relationship with opposite sex.

I finally got my own apartment and guess what!...I couldn't misbehave the way would've want to...thanks to my dad....and moreover there is too much responsibility living alone..one can't just keep toying around.

she has to obey rules under her fathers house (excluding marital issues) or get her apartment.... if she wants to continue toying with men...posting pics 24yr/7 on fb, no problem. but if she wants to remain in her fathers house and constitute nuisance by constant quarrelling, then that is highly irresponsible considering her position and age.

Lies !! if u can be truthful to ur self can u compare the number of people with degrees who are not activating there common sense with those without degrees? My dear being a graduate has a lot to do OK! What being a graduate does to u is that it refines you. It sets ur thought process. It makes u behave very well especially in public places in order not to allow people say look at him he says he is a graduate but look at what he is doing. U can see the way people are commending the commissioner and DPO that's what been a graduate can do for u. Being a graduate helps differentiate ur self from the crowd. That's y when u go to eateries u see people behaving well even without been told compared to what u obtain in a buka. If u are not a graduate is fine but don't underestimate the power of being a graduate it helps to create sane society. It helps to build ur character and behaviour. I bet u if we have more graduates in the low ranks of our police force these issues with police guys shooting at will, will reduce drastically. We are not talking about certificate here we are talking about the grooming and building of character. Intact in every certificate u see a graduate is holding it is written there that "The Senate of the said school have found u worthy in both character and in learning to offer u this certificate". So that's what being a graduate represent, character!! I am not saying every graduate is hundred percent OK but on a pass mark most graduates are living up to it.
