CelebritiesRe: Uche Jombo -’yoruba Speaking Actors Do Not Respect Us. by onyezebros(m): 3:18pm On Feb 23, 2011
Unless there's some more serious underlying issues. If the 'disrespect' in this case is based on who should initiate the exchange of pleasantries then it just too petty & trivial to be worthy of any discourse.
RomanceRe: What's The Key To Successful Relationships? by onyezebros(m): 9:44am On Feb 21, 2011
Not much more you can add. You pretty much covered it. However, I think the most valued key to obtaining and sustaining a successful relationship is "Keeping God first in both of your lives." Having a strong prayer life with your Creator and by doing this, he will reveal to you and him that it was Him that ordained you two to be together.

Wow, this is a real good contest, we shall see who wins. I know that women are the home makers, the lifeline of the house, so, what practical teachings are you going to leave for your children? If God says teach your children the way to go, when they grow they will not depart from it; which way is such woman teaching her children, what sort of generation is she breeding and we want a better life, a better tomorrow (when we are actually old and limbs weak? Let the dice roll on, time will tell

PoliticsRe: I Was Grossly Misunderstood - Gej. by onyezebros(m): 2:38pm On Feb 15, 2011
I have been watching the reactions that GEJ's statement generated, with people from mainly the southwest grievously taking it as an insult, while ignoring the fact that it was being overblown by the opposition party members. This is politics, and the opposition can pick on anything to discredit their opponents. Imagine if GEJ imposed Dame and his daughter in PDPs Senatorial primaries, just like Tinubu did, Nigeria would have experienced a sudden break down. But Tinubu's action was treated as an act of God.
You guys failed to realise that;
1. Nobody's name or party was mentioned.
2. PDP also gat governors in the South West.
3. The statement actually gave more prestige to the Southwest than insult.
4. Rascal was used by GEJ more like in a scenario, than in reality.
5. The rascals actually points more to the PDP governors than the ACN and Labour Party governors.

Yet, I discovered that people heaped insults on him and called for his head. It further exposes how fragile Nigeria is. Every action and word takes an ethnic, religious or Regional dimension in Nigeria which makes me wonder why the heck we are still one in this freaking country.
Most people that reacted to GEJ's assertion are actually rascals, because their reactions gave a signal that his statement was meant for them. Fashola and Ribadu included. Though I like them, I am disappointed with them. They behaved like Primary school kids (Push me, I push you).

PoliticsRe: President Goodluck Jonathan's Approval Rating by onyezebros(m): 2:10pm On Feb 14, 2011
What a brilliant statement full of wisdom and logic !!! Indeed the Yorubas and Hausas have destroyed Nigeria. Afterall we all know that the SS and SE Governors "destroying" their States ( like Ohakim, Orji, Imoke, Sylva et al) are really Yoruba and Hausa men in disguise !!!!! The pouplarly held belief that the problem of Nigeria is that misruling elites from all regions unite to loot our commonwealth is wrong . The problem of Nigeria is simply the Yoruba and hausa "destroyers". We all saw how OBJ coerced his fellow Yoruba man disguised as an SS man (Imoke) to 419 Nigeria with the NIPP scheme . Ain't that beautiful ? Two evil Yoruba men cooperating to frustrate Nigeria's effort at progress? From then on it is easy to conclude it is the fault of the Yoruba man that we do not have improved electricity
PoliticsRe: President Goodluck Jonathan's Approval Rating by onyezebros(m): 2:07pm On Feb 14, 2011
Nigerians, let us look beyond religion, ethinicity and social status while we cast our votes in the upcoming elections. Vision, morals and wisdom are not qualities peculiar to any sect. They are qualities characteristic of any man or woman who is driven by the idea of a better society, and who "consciously" strives to make his visions a reality. GEJ lacks those qualities. He failed as a deputy governor, as a governor, as a vice president and also as a president. In the past few months during which he occupied the office of the president, he failed to provide the much needed security of lives and properties, failed to address issues that affect the general populace, failed to be prudent in expenditure and also failed to represent the country well as expected of him.

He has chosen to compromise on integrity, morals, and true values, by associating with some of the worst criminals in Nigerian history, just in a bid to win an election.

We should thank God that his true character is coming to light. How can he account for precious lives that have been lost in the past few months? Yet he moves around with baboons and gorillas, announcing how important it is that they-PDP, must win the elections. The word "must" is an insult on the millions of Nigerians, who as a sign of patriotism to their country, and with a strong desire for change burning in their heart, will come out enmass to cast their votes- hoping, believing, that change will come.

Like the Obama deception, PDP is at it again, promising, lobbying and trying to buy our future and children's future.

I will vote and enjoin my family, friends and community to vote, so we can end this tyranny. GEJ has failed us, and if we let him and those goons, we will live to regret it.

Vote against insanity, Vote out the PDP. We need a new government!
PoliticsRe: President Goodluck Jonathan's Approval Rating by onyezebros(m): 2:03pm On Feb 14, 2011
- He's surrounded himself with criminals, murder convicts, corrupt administrators and desperadoes. People see him as the savior; but how do you expect the man to deliver us when he dines with the same people who left us in this current position?

- How do you expect him to save our economy when the safety of our lives has become a luxury? How can you expect seriousness and determination from a man whose only solution to the incineration of our brothers in the north is blind prayer?

- When the rule of law was duly carried out with Aregbesola's judicial victory, this president of ours accused Atiku of 'disloyalty to the PDP' for rejoicing on the verdict? Clearly, he's shown us he owes his allegiance to the PDP and not to Nigeria.

I used to be a fan. But after all these things, I've come to realize he doesn't deserve my vote

PoliticsRe: I’m Proud To Be A Rascal, Ribadu Tells Jonathan by onyezebros(m): 1:02pm On Feb 12, 2011
Why is this unfruitful concern or topic about what these politicians are saying on their campaigns continue to make headlines on NairaLand? It's never new with aspiring politicians exchanging political propaganda and counter speeches during election campaign in any country even in the US.

If Ribadu like, let him be proud of whatever he wants, Is he from the South West? Was his name or anybody's name mentioned by GEJ?, I simply call it a lame strategy; let him be a bit focused at the programs he has for Nigeria, and addressing very very important issues of religious and ethnic killings in his region, how he will stop it if voted in and stop mud slinging.

RomanceRe: My Husband Cheats On Me So I Cheat On Him Too. by onyezebros(m): 11:52am On Feb 09, 2011
@OP, you are soo much better than that Ms.Lady. If you at any point feel like revenge is the necessary tool to teach your man a lesson then something is wrong and the relationship is not right. Getting revenge by lowering your morals and using your body to "teach a lesson" to any man is degrading and unreasonable. Confront him if necessary and move on if you have to, but do not do that to yourself. Most black men will cheat on you from now until next year but the moment you kiss another man, much less sleep with them, your man is ready to up and leave. Could you imagine having to deal with your man leaving you and not getting the picture (feeling justified) while you are left alone feeling cheap and misunderstood (failed mission)? Do not do that to yourself! As I said confront him, try to make it work or leave bottom line
HealthRe: Acid Rain Forecast In Parts Of Nigeria by onyezebros(m): 2:48pm On Mar 22, 2010
if water (rain) H2O mixes with atmospheric carbon IV oxide, it forms a slightly acidic com pond called H2CO3 or what we call tri-oxo-carcbnate V acid. in situations where that happens, it's called acid rain. its not the kind of acid that burns the skin o! but it's harmful to plants and corrodes metals.pls acid rain does not cause CANCER.
