Forget all these shakara most women dey do here on this platform, plenty women dey marry men now, especially the old fowls that view their man as last man standing, abi woman wey pay her own bride price by proxy, no be she marry man herself?

Some do even foot the wedding expenses and set up the home.

While I don't know if it's a taboo in some cultures, I have seen some of such marriages turn out happy matrimonies while some didn't even last up to Nokia battery.

I even know one very big laundry outfit in Port Harcourt that his wife made him up to be a real man that he is today but only the ones very close to them from the beginning know the secret.

But women see men paying their bride price as normal bragging right because they fear that disclosure to others that they pay it through their real men or rented husband can make them a subject of mockery especially when the union hit the rock.

These suggested measures are the best since they don't want to make it official. The only addition to it is for them to quickly reach out to the beneficiary branch to possibly assist restrict the account if at all the whole fund has not been cleared.

I feel your pulse @Op and as advised above, avoid being moved by external environment at all times.
Since you can't lend out what is not available, the best thing is to stop keeping excess above your need, whether at hand or in the bank apart from the little you need for immediate/possible emergency. Once you get your income, send the ones not needed immeduately into an investment account or asset acquisition account that you cannot retrieve liquidate easily. Keep the remaining little for your need. Once you don't have the excess cash, you won't be able to lend, even when you are emotionally moved as you will have to go through a lot of rigour and possible penalty payments to retrieve funds from assets/investment fund. If at all you can't do the above suggestion, the least I will advise is to open a domiciliary account and be keeping your unneeded fund in hard currency because the rigour of going to bank to withdraw after which you go to Aboki to change the currency, should discourage you. Besides, keeping money in hard currency saves you the problem of inflation as naira value erodes too quickly. You can also carry your spouse along as women seem to be more frugal and astute when it comes to money handling.

On recovery of the ones outstanding, you need to first show the debtors that things are no longer as rossy as it used to be to emanate sympathy after which you then follow up with each of them to please bail you out too by asking each of them to lend you 200% of what each owes you. Like asking from 100k debtor to please urgently help you with 200k and if any of them per chance falls for it to borrow you, just deduct your own money and refund the person his own after like a week so that they won't suspect your debt recovery strategy.

With the kind of transaction you stated above (phone purchase on credit) which is same as asset finance facility, those details requested from you may likely be for:
1. Phone number : to follow up with you for that transaction and to possibly contact/track you after the transaction. Your phone number alongside the device details like imei number can also be used to lock the phone if you default in repayment .

2. BVN number is required to be included in the loan details for filing and in the loan report to CBN. Besides, in line with the recent CBN plan to track loan defaulters by ensuring that the loan defaulters' credit balances in other banks are used to offset loan default, your bvn number can be used to trace your accounts in other banks to enforce repayment in case you default.

3. Date of birth. Is just for customer service to enable them say you hello on your birthday. They may also want to use it to cross check the date of birth on your bvn.

Yes, the FX amount you are withdrawing can be converted and credited to your naira account but the major issue there is that the bank's exchange rate for buying is usually much lower than parallel (black) market. On the other hand, having it converted to naira save you from risk of attack when conveying the foreign currency and risk of being played a fast one upon by aboki (though the probability of these odd occurrences are low).

I need some advice on an experience I recently had with zenith bank...

two weeks ago I tried to withdraw some amount of money (20,000) from a UBA ATM machine, using my zenith card. unfortunately, I the machine didn't dispense any cash yet I was debited of the amount (20k), so I lodged a complaint at zenith, and I was told to wait 10-15 working days.


to cut long story short, on the 15th day, I got an alert of reversed transaction in the amount of 20k.

but the next day I was credited again, making it 40, instead of 20. so I immediately withdrew the money, because I had once transferred 50k to a wrong account and the bank couldn't help me recover my money.

so I wanna know, will I be debited again as per correcting their mistake, or am I getting away with the extra 20k

The second 20k credit you called overcompensation will surely be reversed from your account once they carry out their transaction call over for that day. Even if the reversal does not meet fund in your account to effect the deduction, a sort of standing order or value blockage will be placed on your account such that any day amount up to that 20k passes through your account, system will automatically block it for reversal.

@OP,
I suggest costs of the training should be stated for people to have an idea of the costs implication. I recall I have encouraged folks to acquire the training to boost their employability but they mentioned the cost as a serious limiting factor. Besides, do you have outlets in other states or take the training to other locations outside Lagos? This is to extend the opportunity to others in upcountry as well.

Thanks a million for your your suggested solution post but each time I get to clear data app, it prompts me that all data related to apps will be lost, I stopped at that level, will clicking OK not clear off all my data and revert the device to factory setting? The screen shot is attached.

Dear Gurus in the house, please assist me on what to do as my Camon CX Techno has not been able to download new app nor update the current ones I have on my phone. I initially thought it was lack of memory space and I bought a 32gb SDCard and internal memory space is now 3.2gb and the problem still persists. Each time I tried to download or update, it writes download pending and displays as if it is downloading but verified by play protect is displayed underneath. Please advise on what to do or how to resolve this issue as all applications on my phone are almost out of date.

The man's action is condemnable and it is viewed as madness, you can see that most contributors have always passed negative comments on this before commenting on the woman's reaction. It is wrong of a man to adjudge his spouse a psycho to the whole.

The husband took it too far using such a dp, especially knowing fully well he was having issue with his wife. That is one of the effects of too much addiction to social media. You don't wash your dirty linen outside but such a man has forgotten that their current conflict will definitely end one day but the impression already created in the minds of those that see the dp will last longer than their current issue.
