Politics › Re: What Is The Nigerian Dream? by opeaceo: 10:26pm On May 11, 2015 |
The Nigerian dream can't be the same as the American dream. The Nigerian dream is to keep the vision 20:20 in view, while suffering and smiling. When we get to the year 20:20, we shift it further to 20:40. I hope we get out of the doldrums and move forward. |

I don't like the idea of buying house hold items online, the best thing is walk into a store, inspect whatever you are buying, if you're satisfied with the quality, pay for it. Sometimes, what they post on their website is a far cry from what the items look like in reality. Sorry for your experience. |

brunnette4real: I attend salvation ministries in portharcourt, and the dominant people in the church are from rivers state and the east.I am from the west and an usher in the church, and today is mothers day, I wore an ankara gown only for me to get to church this morning and my leader told me that I can't officiate because I'm not tying a wrapper,I told her I don't have one and I don't like it,she said I should go and buy that only those that tie wrapper will officiate.I felt embarassed and bad cos of the way she said it and the discrimination. So I'm thinking of leaving the church to another one. Were you informed before now about today's dress code?? If you were, then there's no reason to be upset but if you had no idea, then... But that's not a "good" reason to leave the church. |

Family › Re: How Much Should I Give Her For Monthly Upkeep by opeaceo: 10:09pm On May 09, 2015 |
CHM11: Bro I don't think she's being a smart wife. If I'm earning 500K monthly and my wife is not working, she can have 20K for her personal upkeep, 30K for foodstuff and groceries and 10K for other 'out of the book' stuffs. That's a total of 60K per month and this is only because I want her and them to have a good comfortable life.
If you were earning 100K won't she have married u and managed with like 30K monthly?
Some women just don't think far. Bro you are the man, take charge and plan for yourself and your future. For food stuffs and groceries, 30k is small, maybe 50 except he doesn't stay at home. op, you need to seat her down, tell her your plans and make her see reasons with you. But if she's the extravagant type, that would be difficult though. I wish you Good luck |

It is Charles. Since each of them said a lie, Arnold and Brian told the same truth - it wasn't Edward, Edward is out if it Arnold lie is it was Brian which is also Derek's lie. Charles told a lie that it was Edward, so his truth is that it wasn't Arnold, and that's Edwards truth so Edwards lie is that it was Derek. Arnold is out of it. Derek's truth is that it was Charles. It is Charles because Brian's lie is that it wasn't Charles and Derek's truth is that it was Charles. |

laryom1: dude op, hardness is the measure competitiveness and it is inturn into two categories; 1. How hard/strict they are in conducting their academic part of the admission process: How hard your pume is and or how high the jamb cutoff is( this isn't a problem for the brilliant students, they can get into anywhere); Uniban has the same cutoff for all courses irrespective of their competitiveness; UI should have been the no1 d time they do shortlist and invites, now? NO. For now, In Nigeria, Unilorin has the highest JAMB cutoff mark for some competitive courses: you just say why do they use 180? Yes, and people with 200+ would be considered first, fif 180 guys has 80 in the pume. OAU deserves the number 2; 2. The number of applicant. You need to admit 120, and 500+ made more than hhighest possible cutoff, what do you call this? This is happens in Unilorin every year. You saw the number of applicant that chose Unilorin in Jamb? My opinions tho Is it that you didn't read the part where the op said in no particular order? |

eghuan1: I wanted to point out this issue before I saw your writing. as an ekpon person, I don't understand how people keep claiming Ekpon language to be an Edo dialect. why not claim agbor, and the Ika speaking places to be an arm of the benin kingdom? the fact that Ogbemudia made a political mistake and our people allowed the mistake to stand, one overzealous benin man will come and claim ekpon language to be an Edo dialect. compare agbor language with ekpon and then compare ekpon with esan and see the difference. I quite agree with you even though I'm not so grounded in the history of ekpon as a whole, but then again, ekpon and esan don't sound similar at all, even though I haven't heard the agbor dialect. |
