The first is a predetermined penalty. You commit this offence, here is the fine. The second, is post consequential penalty where is only determined by a COURT after considering the damages The fine envisaged here by the constitution for disqualification is not VIO/FRSC as not wearing seat beat or a cracked windshield is not dishonesty in itself. *Is there any sense in challenging an order from a civil case?

So, if VIO or FRSC fines me N5k today for traffic offense, is there any sense in wasting time challenging the order?

Since it’s a forfeiture resulting from a civil case, what’s the point fighting it? Tinubu was already a Senator when the forfeiture order was made against his account. So, it makes more sense to simply allow the civil forfeiture order stand than to keep wasting money on appeal. Same way we all pay VIO and FRSC fine for traffic offense without appeal*.

To call the story short guys, I had an encounter with police officers earlier where extortion was involved. Then it occurred to me that when we experience similar issues from some organizations we can actually report.

We know we can always report banks to CBN and telecommunications to NCC. I read up on how to report police officers and got some clues, like reporting to Public Complaint Rapid Response Unit (PCRRU), even though I understand this is a government thing.

But I later got to know the unit is a division under the public police force itself. So I have this doubt if it would be active like NCC/CBN.

Has anyone here ever reported and experienced a positive result after reporting?
Or is there any other way to report them?

my dear, report to PCRRU with evidence of transfer and the officers name if you have them. They will only act on evidence

I was harassed by highway police officer on Benin/Ore road on ground that I was driving a stolen car since the car was not registered in my name. I took their names and vehicle number and call PCRRU, I was asked to hand the phone to them and after speaking with them, PCRRU requested I send the particulars of the vehicle and I was given a number for the car owner to call with his register phone number. At the end of the verification, they asked the officers to let me go and they refused. I reported them back as they kept threatening they will kill me and term me a robber, I said no problem after PCRRU already had their details. PCRRU had to call their immediate superior who asked them to do the needful else they will lose their jobs. They gave me my documents and I refused to collect telling them to kill me first as an arm robber. They started begging me.

So my guy report first, let action not be taken but you would have played your part in contributing to reform the police. But you must have evidence

the story says OPs withdrew over 60,000 give rise to the 49,000 overdraft(loan). then account was closed by the Ops in the time this happened leaving an overdraft of 49k for like 5 years and then resume transaction thereafter. in as much as sympathize with the OPs with the ordeal he is passing thru, i refuse to believe everything stated above knowing that an institution like GTB will shoot itself in leg knowing how much compensation it will pay for this silly act if it is sued to the court. I advice you take to dialogue for solution, it might also be mistake on the part of the bank or you feed a lawyer to battle your case.

This article to me is the most important Land related Article I am writing to date and I really would love all of you interested in buying properties or those that have bought lands to take this article very seriously. It has to deal with SURVEY PLANS and why it is a very important document that can either make you bankrupt or successful in a land purchase.

I am exposing this because I have also been a victim of terrible and wicked surveyors who would go to any length to lie, cheat and produce fake Survey plans having problems hereby leading to so many land purchase wahalas.

In fact the number one land problem in Lagos today isn’t the famed Omoniles as we all choose to believe but dangerous and dodgy surveyors. Most of them parading themselves are Quacks and not registered Surveyors and they collude actively with omoniles and Land fraudsters to cause mayhem. They distort survey plans, forge signatures, steal (Free from Acquisition) Stamps, Fabricate square meters to make it look big but by the time they measure it its some hundred meters short, they fail to put the beacon numbers on the floor to reflect the points where the property starts and stops, they create fictious existing roads and generally destroy the plan of the whole community.

The greatest crime these surveyors do is to carry out fake coordinates and that to me kills the potential buyer. Naturally a surveyor should take coordinates of the area using their GPS machine and compare it with the master plan obtainable at the Surveyor general’s office, instead these Terrible surveyors bank on the ignorance of everyone, take fake coordinates and tell you it is free from acquisition and we accept it without asking questions. By the time buyers take it for their governor’s consent or Ratification, you will get a letter from Alausa querying it saying the property is not free from Government acquisition or that a land which is ordinarily should be located in Ogombo will be showing Ibeju Lekki on the master survey plan at Alausa.
The truth here too is that we the buyers also encourage these dodgy surveyors to do a lot of fraudulent things because we don’t pay their search money or do the proper thing like obtaining Land information to show the true status of the property.

I have been involved countless times on behalf of clients who are not ready to pay lets say N30,000 to a surveyor to do a proper search result and document it from their office. They will rather give the surveyor N3,000 for fuel and they expect the surveyor to give them a proper result for a property worth over N1Million Naira. Even me sef, Una de pay me well to do search?

Sealeddeal: Dana's aircrash was not planned by the Dana's group.its an unfortunate event and aircrash will not stop anytime soon in nigeria history or even,in history of world because aircraft is man made.So,if FG have found out that Dana airline operate accordingly,then lifting suspension on them is in order.Aircrash is not the only place where nigerians lose their life.Thousand of nigerians lose their life annualy on road mishap alone and govt will neither construct good road nor suspend license of some transportation industries involved.and the masses will not protest or speak up.just because,its basically the poor that die through road accident.unfortunately,that same poor people are now speaking and being used by rich to oppose govt's plane to restore license to Dana as if it concern them.and beside,govt attention was much drawn by Dana's aircrash than road accident happening daily.Dana's aircrash was not and is still not,to me,a sad event.As long as road accident continues due to govt intent to avoid road construction and putting up proper measure to forestall road mishap,my prayer remain that aircrash continues.death is death.
