Not arguably, it actually is. No contest. The only problem is many of the structures are getting dilapidated due to poor maintenance and need renovation or repairs. Jobs/VacanciesRe: Gap Teeth A Reason For Disqualification In Bank Interviews? by Openbusiness: 5:30pm On May 27, 2020
barnny:
Pls there is this question bothering me for some times now. It has become a constant headache during and after every interview.
Pls my Dear Honourable members in Nairaland, Is gap teeth in anyway an excuse interviewers use to disqualify people from any job, Most especially on banking jobs?

I have attended several interviews where I am convinced that i tried during the interview but unfortunately ended up not being shortlisted. I am beginning to think that my gap teeth might be a hindrance to all of my dream jobs...

Recent I applied for a Banking job, Service Executive to be specific where I got shortlisted for Aptitude test for three times. Latter on after some days i received an invite that i have been shortlisted for Virtual interview which was last week. Early this week I took part in the interview were i was told they will get back to me through mail.

Today i just got a reply that my experience, profile and presentation were remarkable but However, they regret to inform me that I was not recommended at the end of the interview session.

Without been told I already knew My open teeth is behind this again.
Pls help me out on this, if i should stop wasting my time, energy and money applying for jobs. Honestly I'm beginning to get depressed of all the emotional trauma.

The question is Should i stop applying for jobs like banks? Do I still have hope? How will I start imagine things when My age exceed their limit, knowing fully well that banks has limited age range.

Pls help a brother before depression will weigh me down. Below is the screenshot of the message i got from the recruiters and my gap teeth cry cry cry
OP your teeth is not the problem, you sex is. They want executive Olosho girls that will bring in billions target from their sugar zaddy

Same thing happened to me during my service year(2019) to be precise at Gwarinpa, Abuja. ...I was rushing to meet up with my CDS activities and I meet this lady driving out from one of the street, and the weather was very harsh that day, Mehn, Only for this lady to stop and ask me "pls can I give u a ride?". I was like..so surprise to see a lady offering such a helping hand to me. So I entered the car and she drove off...Mehn at the first instant I was very relaxed cos the AC was at 100%...and it blew sense into my head.
The lady started gisting me from the spot she lifted me to my destination, she even abandoned her own duties. But I was just forming inside the Vehicle. I forgot to ask for her number. Guest what I alighted from the Vehicle and the lady stood for a while, I couldnt ask for her number..I only said God bless u..and she left..Mehn since that day, I have been looking for the lady but to no avail....
Go to that same spot and wait for 20 years, you will find her grin, kikikikikiki! Nawa oh, so many 9ja men suffer from inferiority complex, they have been emasculated and conditioned to think like life revolves around women. Guy wake up, she just anoda fish in d sea, fine girls plenty, neva bother ur sef about 1 that u missed. Chuky7:
Four months ago before the covid 19 pandemic, a company I was working for (On contract basis) flew me and my team members to our destination of work and back when the work was done.

During this flight I saw this pretty fair skinned Flight Attendant. She was just so astonishing beautiful and diligent, always smiling at everyone (obviously being the nature of her work)

I guess she had a magic touch on because I couldn't get my mind off her. She only had contact with me once, when I requested a change of seat so I could view the sky. I told her she was gorgeous and good at her work. She smiled and asked what I do I told her am into tech. She said she knew nothing about tech but would love to learn a thing or two. That moment she left to attend to other passengers.

We got to our destination. The plane landed and passengers were getting off.

I looked around for her as I stood up but didn't see her. I even asked one of her fellow flight attendant if she knew her but she couldn't recognize who I spoke of. So I left it that way.

She just stuck in my mind until now..
I’ve searched from Google, facebook and instagram and even some dating websites. Nothing.

Of course i sent an email to the Airline to
Praise them for their service and codedly asked for her contact number. Unfortunately they told me the info is Private and they can only share the email to him when she's off duty.

I am hoping on trying all the possible way to find her. I bought some flight tickets of her airline for
traveling.

Am just hoping i can meet her again and get her number myself.

How I hate myself for not being smart and fast enough to ask for her contact details before I alight from the plane. I even forgot her name and I do not know how am I going to locate her.

I love meeting people all around the world and in spontaneous places. Other than the normal. That really gets my blood rushing (I guess that's why I have so much interest in her)

How you suggest I find her?...

Has anyone had similar experience... Maybe in the air or in some crazy location

FamilyRe: Why Children Of Strict Parents Turn Out To Be Worse by Openbusiness: 4:23pm On May 25, 2020
FeliciaOja:
[s]It is now I understand what being strict does, it makes you live a life of pretence, cos when I got into University I wanted to explore everything  I didn’t have the chance of doing at home.

I drank alcohol like crazy, smoked weed, hung out with rich boys, partying, doing drugs but when I go visit my Parents, I still act like that innocent girl they have always known.

My Dad’s strictness led to my Pretence, if he had drawn me close like my mum did, I would have been a better kid.

When parents use strictness to shut down a kids curiosity instead of guiding them, you are making matters worse for that kid. Because eventually that curiosity will lead them into adventures and exploring all those things you refused them to..

Looking back, al the flogging I received from my dad only made me more stubborn and ruthless.

Nothing really changed? Until my mum made me change for good.

Parents need to use wisdom not force..[/s]
Your father used wisdom but you're too stupid to understand. Caging a wild beast is wisdom. He caged you because he saw you had the tendency to turn to a wild crackhead olosho, and then you get a little taste of freedom and what do you do with it? You proved your father was right to have caged you like a beast. What a nonsense child. Shove your dumb advice down ur slobbery throat. Nobody needs advice from a dumb junkie. Na your type dem dey use do prayer point for crusade wen pastor go shout, "Oh God don't give me a foolish wayward child, oya open your mouth n pray, shout an talk to God, praayyyy....

May God continue to bless the Chadian military every day for dealing a crucial blow to boko haram, killing thousands of terrorists and seizing their major weapons arsenal, and showing the world concrete video and pictorial proofs of their military operations. We can only continue to pray and hope that this same evil terrorist group that the Chadian military put on coma will not be put back on life support and resuscitated by the audio crime fighters we have here. For many years, all we were hearing on the news about the audio initial gra gra people is Nigeria repel, repel, repel, repel, they are never on attack or counter attack. But Chad military came in, like the miracle answer to the prayer of millions, they came in and changed the lies they have been feeding the public almost as if they were fighting with spirits. [s]So you typed all these gibberish without making a point or addressing my point.
If his boss knew about his allergies before employing him or if the working during production isn't included in his job description he has a strong case.
You are clearly one of those people that will sign a slave contract in the name of having a job that doesn't pay well with a terrible management.
If he dies due to complications from d chemicals, someone else will take his spot tomorrow like nothing happened. Your health and security should be prioritized over any job.[/s]
You made zero sense again. Shifting goal post with no single logic. If this, if that, if if if, mehn nothing but bullshit. If he dies of chemicals, he died because he is a fool, not because of the chemicals, because he can wear face mask. Because for a fact, not an if imagination, he himself knows he has an allergy, so why did he take a job in a company that he knows deals on substance he is allergic to? Why? But he is looking for special privileges and exemption that reduces his designated work load. Ok, no problem, Mr oga, we won't let you touch chemicals again or do chemical work, so you're now working at 70% capacity and will get 70% pay. Mumu still dey complain again. I've never done slave contract before in my life and will never do it, cuz people like me have the big balls to quit a job if it doesn't suit me, instead of staying there and crying like a little bitch all day and trying to stir up rebellion among other employees. Workers like you are nothing but lazy opportunists that have close to nothing to offer yet you want the biggest pay. Oga go form your own company and do whatever u like, and pay your workers 100% salary for doing 20% work, na your problem b DAT.

Without sentiments, Niger delta is arguably the dumbest region in Nigeria. I have never seen a region full of potentials yet highly unwise, tactically impotent. Full with people who bear European names but archaic in thinking, strategy, and objectivity.

If you feel offended, I owe you no apologies but a request that you think of strategic ways to better your people. The same old play book of gra gra and much ado has not gotten the region anywhere.

If I go full frontal on ND, this thread will burst into flames. Flames of truth anyway.

CareerRe: Please HELP, My Boss Slashed My Salary Unjustly by Openbusiness: 7:59pm On May 20, 2020
miketayo:
Seems u quoted me without understanding my comment.
Lemme use ur example, if I take a driving job but I made it known to my employer that I am not a mechanic and can't fix the car Incase it breaks down, he has no right to make me fix the car.
If his employers know he has allergies for the product and employed him regardless he has a very strong case under the labour acts of Nigeria.
Your example doesn't make sense. Which employer will hire a driver to drive a car, then when it breaks down ask the driver to turn to mechanic and fix it? Nobody does that, because it's not the driver's job to be a mechanic. Unless in special rare circumstances where the employers from the beginning of the hiring process specifically stated they want a driver with mechanic experience or that has mechanic trade test etc, so essentially in that casez it is part of his job and it was stated in the job offer. So this your example is not an example at all. Someone was employed to work in a chemical factory, he knows it's part of his job to handle some chemicals, yet he is forming stupid sense claiming he is allergic, so why can't he wear face mask and continue his job? No, he wants special treatment and special exemption from doing certain work because he is a fuxking lazy man, yet he wants to collect full salary. What kind of rubbish is that. Have you being to bank bulk room? Do you know some of the tellers are allergic to dust, some tellers that are asthmatic, but do they now say the bank should give them exemption from counting money? No! They wear dust cover on their nose and continue the work. That's a serious employee that has sense and wants to work, a employee that values his salary. Not this one that is forming big boy claiming allergic, he should gan work for his father company naw and do whatever he likes there or setup his own company. If everybnody wants to be forming allergic and looking for exemption, how will company function well? So company should be paying full salary to someone doing half his work schedule? His boss is nice walai. If you try am with some employers, guy na sack straight without pay sef, and nothing his jupiter can do abou reet
