tonyuny12: I want to believe you understand the role of the court when it has to do with constitutional issues? What will the court use in giving judgement? Is it not the 1999 constitution you have failed to read? This same court you keep talking about will still favour the FG because electricity generation, transmission and distribution remains on the 'exclusive list'.....In other words, only the FG have the sole right to provide electricity! Even if the case is taken all the way to the supreme court, the FG will still win! The only way States can generate, transmit and distribute electricity is the an amendment of the part of that constitution which means taking the item of electricity from 'exclusive list' to 'concurrent list' which mean making states to have the sole right to provide electricity! |

Any governor who created an electricity generating company knowing fully well that the constitution is not in support of such is only playing to the gallery! Which governor or state will engage in a project or venture without benefitting from it? Why create a company when someone else will be taking the proceeds? Why do you think Lagos and other endowed states are waiting for the 'electricity decentralization' bill to be signed into law by the president? |

Those IPP go through the national grid...the Lagos state government is not benefiting anything! It goes straight to the FG! Is it not a waste of money to build a generating company only to be told and reminded that the electricity generated must be fed through the national grid? Why do you think there is a bill that has been passed by senate to authorise states to generate, transmit and distribute electricity? No Governor or state goverment has the power or authority in the constitution to generate, transmit and distribute electricity! |

SafariHunter: I am obedient but I actually agree with Adamu Garba when he said the ASUU strike has political undertones. The FG has met their needs to a very large extent, 100% pay rise( excluding state uni which is very understandable as most states haven't even implemented minimum wage). TET fund has released billions. Earned allowances have been paid. UTAS is at final stages of testing...
ASUU doesn't care about us, they have a sole responsibility to students and not telling us to vote out APC which we will already do...
Just NEgedu ASUU matter The 100% pay rise which was agreed on by the Briggs committee setup by the FG will gallop over a trillion annually is actually one of the source of the conflict! Utas was initially tested and confirmed 88-96% transparent but due to politics from the presidency, they went back to the media to lie that it was filled with glitches and errors instead of meeting ASUU to make the needed corrections on the platform.... Earned allowances? Are you sure you know what you are saying? How can they be paid allowances when they have not been paid salaries for more than 4 months now simply because of the no work no pay policy by the FG? ASUU is actually asking for two things.....implementation of UTAS which had initially been confirmed a functional platform and renegotiation of the 2009 and 2020 agreement that was made for the revitalization of the university system! If FG is not comfortable with the agreement/recommendations that was made by two committees that were setup by them on the issue of ASUU,why not call ASUU back again and renegotiate rather than go to the media to grandstand! From my view point, the presidency are the ones at fault here and trying to use the media to act as if they are the victims and depict ASUU as selfish and greedy! |

mikuz: We lose in pre season, every one will distance himself and say we lost because we took the match unserious. But we win against Liepzig in pre season we celebrate it, nobody talks about unseriousness and pre season . If scorelines in pre season don't matter why were you celebrating Nunez's hatrick? I have answered this regurgitated lines from you previously...however,in case it wasn't quite comprehensible for you..... Its still a preseason game nonetheless whether we choose to celebrate it or not! I was quite particular about the manutd game because you made it sound as if it was a major competition that LFC had to win....the only reason why you went silent was when it was obvious that you were just the only one here getting agitated over the loss...even a gunner fan here was shocked that you could make such a fuss about a preseason friendly...much ado about nothing! mikuz: I'm not digressing but I'm starting to doubt the integrity of your grasp on football matters because it's laughable to blame a pre season loss to unseriousness caused by preventing injury. I have said this before, there is no safeguard against injury in football. It is an unavoidable risk because you cannot control it. For instance, let me make it clearer, can you avoid the risk of getting sick? No! Even doctors fall sick! It is an unavoidable risk in life! So is injury an unavoidable risk in football. The only way you can avoid it is to retire from football. because even if you are a bench warmer you can still cop injury in training. Soon you will tell us that we didn't train for the match because we were avoiding injury in training. Diaz will just be running goalwards with the ball, Maguire will hit him with a flying tackle from nowhere! Gbam! Too weeks injury How do you avoid that?
I'm not using preseason as a litmus test, until you understand why we lost against Man Utd, you won't understand the angle I'm coming from. The purpose of a preseason friendly is to build fitness of players and create rhythm...hence, there isn't much commitment ab initio in order not to risk a possibility of an unnecessary injury! You can make your findings! This is common knowledge in sports and just because you do not comprehend such or find it laughable doesn't mean its not possible!
Secondly,a friendly is no big deal...thats why no player or manager puts much emphasis on the performance and result per se as that is a platform to test various positions or strategy with different players either fringe or main! If you ask a sports person they will tell you the likely time to get an injury is when they return to training after they have had a vacation!
I get the fact that you are trying as much as possible though fruitlessly to evade the main purpose of this argument which is placing too much emphasis on preseason friendly as a litmus test to predict the progress of a team! You are obviously trying to use the injury part to prolong or extend this argument!
Lets stay true to the bone of contention which is you trying to make so much fuss about the manutd preseason friendly...Simple! |

mikuz: Saying that we didn't take the match serious because of fear injuries is laughable. You dey surprise me. Injuries in football is an inherent risk that can not be avoided. Whether you like it or not, you cannot put a safeguard against getting injured because it's a contact sport and you cannot control your opponent's approach to the game. If you are going to play pre season in order to boost your fitness level then you should be ready to face the risk involved. You do that at the expense of getting injured.
The only best bet against getting injured is not playing at all, even at that you can still get injured by sitting on the bench. Plus you are even more likely to get injured while playing unseriously than taking the match serious. If not getting injured is that important, let's scrap pre season matches bros The purpose of a preseason friendly is to build fitness of players and create rhythm...hence, there isn't much commitment ab initio in order not to risk a possibility of an unnecessary injury! You can make your findings! This is common knowledge in sports and just because you do not comprehend such or find it laughable doesn't mean its not possible! There is a sort of sluggishness during friendlies because no one wants to get any needless injury like Jota! No sensible player would want to make a 100% commitment in an insignificant game that is only meant to build their fitness level! mikuz: My ANGER is that we approached the match with unseriousness and got walloped which should not be. I expected some seriousness from us that day. So they didn't beat us because they were magnificent or better than us. Spot the difference. I have answered this! You were hellbent on making an issue out of it despite superior arguments from others that it was only a friendly/preseason! U said nothing about those two friendlies because we had already made it known to you that the friendlies were insignificant and only an avenue to build on the fitness of the players! Martinez39s: The mistake that led to all these wasn't really the absence of Ronaldo as some would like to think. The mistake was simply the wrong formation and line up from ETH.
• Erisken should be in the midfield, not in front. That's where his power is. When Ronaldo came on, Erisken drop to the midfield and we saw how he played.
• Van Der Beek should always start, in his role.
• Maguire should never smell the first eleven. Varane should start instead. I don't know if the powers that be want Maguire to start because I don't know why any good manager will start him.
• Fred and McTominay have no business handling the midfield. They are awfully poor in it, especially the defensive part. They are bad players that should go. This is painfully obvious.
• Man Utd is in great need of a very good defensive midfielder that has a good defensive mind, at least one. For years, Man Utd hasn't had such, instead they kept leaving this role to Pogba (who isn't a CDM and doesn't thrive as one) and sub par players like Fred and McTominay. Comrade stop explaining and chop ur breakfast in peace!

1.klopp's negligence
2. Poor midfield.
We better be looking to get a midfielder before d tw runs out.. These old tired legs wont take us all d way.
what d fvck was klopp thinking nt starting nunez or pulling bobby out early.. Its a two way thing! If he had started and flopped, that would have damaged his confidence and klopp would be skeptical about starting him until he gets d needed confidence! Coming from d bench like he did against man city gave him that needed confidence and that goal will definitely land him as a starter against crystal palace!
