Buccalcavity2:
Common Don't be slow! I never called you IPOB except you self-ascribe such.
I don't think Sam is wrong in his Obituary title as several politicians have used similar or worse without outrage (with examples I stated) which is why I question the hypocrisy of your indignant reaction to the article.
Sam attacked IPOB switching their clamor from Biafra to Obi. He concluded that PO supporters are largely IPOB apologists based on their modus operandi. And chided Obi for not correcting that.
Of course I expected rejoinders and yarbs or insult even , which some civil men did. Good.
But threats of violence and justification of the threats only lend credence to his assertion, that these are either IPOBs or their apologists.
He is also not the first and only victim of these threats of violence. Its a popular concern.
Slow down? Do i look like your failed leader PMB?
If you see nothing wrong with the article being termed Obituary by a reputable Journalist who should be mindful of his unguarded utterances just because of his obvious political affiliations, then you are not entirely different from his type!
Like i have said initially,If he or his subjects like you do not see anything wrong with his article or title then don't be bothered or feel threatened when someone else showers him a taste of his own poison!
He is not the only one that has a monopoly of death wish or name calling!
Finally, the name tag 'IPOB' that you and your robotic armies benightedly dish out to any opposition to your failed party leaders are ridiculously stale and worn out..Get Updated with a better vocab or buzz word come 2023....Comprendo?

Did Fayose not publish a page advertorial that Buhari will die before being sworn in? Where was your holy anger then? How come no death threat got to him and family. Did IPOB not say Buhari is dead and a clone? How come nobody threatened Igbos or IPOB with death?
You see. You people only confirmed Sam's write-up. He aptly described your tendency and you lived it.
grin grin
I am beginning to think most of you online are nothing but unintelligible robots that perceive anyone against tinubu or APC as 'IPOB'

Why all these fruitless and inane deflection/prevarication to justify what Sam omatseye has wrongfully done?
So because fayose said so....does that then justify such or make it right?
You are subtly justifying my point....Sam omatseye should stop playing the victim's card over a threat that he also willingly dished out!

If omatseye cannot stand such threat to his life(which up till now we are yet to get evidence of such threat),then you should advise him to stop writing articles with preposterous headlines that insinuate a death wish to a presidential candidate!

He who must come to equity must come with clean hands!

PoliticsRe: Reno Omokri: Nothing Can Bring Sam Omatseye Down by openmine(m): 10:14am On Aug 04, 2022
Why is reno not addressing the main issue that is a bone of contention where an experienced journalist like Sam omatseye would use a national newspaper to write an article about a presidential candidate and tag the title 'OBITUARY' only to later play the victim's card after getting a taste of his own medicine?
'He who must come to equity must come with clean hands'
Next time he will be more mindful of his next articles...he should spend more time trying to market his own candidate!

State and community policing is an idea whose time has come!
This should have actually been the responsibility of the national assembly but unfortunately they keep shoving it aside by focusing more on the disadvantages rather than putting on their thinking caps and making state policing a better option!
The truth is that its practically impossible for a central policing system to properly secure our country!
We cannot continue like this forever...state and community policing is a necessity if the country must be secured!

He is a late bloomer and the appearance of Fabio will give him the needed push to come out of his shell!
Watched him last season with keen interest and did well in some UCL games(esp the game against Porto away) and EPL games but his only problem is consistency!
More games will give him the needed confidence and he will get his chance since we might be competing in all competitions next season!

Mane's decision to leave is not rocket science. Even a blind man can see it.

This is from a reputable magazine in UK.
Only a simpleton will remain at a club who treated him this way.
Guyman rest this matter about mane nah
Its getting preposterous!
He and his agents have been granted several interviews and he made it known about his desire for another challenge and not because of salah or their salary difference or the way and manner he was treated!

When a player has been treated badly by a former club, the best platform to air their grievance is in a new club and so far mane or his agent esp have said nothing about such which validates the narrative that he left LFC on good terms!

For him to have invited LFC TV to his new club for an exclusive interview just shows how much he values his time at LFC and what LFC had done for him esp the LFC supporters!

He will forever remain a LFC legend and the beautiful part is that he left when the ovation was loudest and not at his lowest point!

Please put this mane matter to rest or better still you can follow mane on a Bayern Munich thread or possibly create a mane fanbase on nairaland to hype him!

Gracias!

Yeah.

Obi also used a car yesterday as a result, the president decided to use a car as well.

Thanks to Obi.

Same Obi was governor for 8 years but did absolutely nothing sbout electricity.
In fairness to Obi and other present or former governors,it wasn't profitable or sensible to build a generating plant only to be instructed by the FG that such generation must go through the national grid in accordance to a constitution that puts power generation, transmission and distribution on the exclusive list...in other words, power supply is under the control of the FG!
With the bill signed into law, states governors wont need to build Gencos, they will just issue licenses to private power companies who will provide gencos, trancos and discos for the citizens of that state while remitting taxes to the state government!

oooabbeyooo:
As much as this bill would have solved some problem in the power sector the issue of supplying the generated power to national grid is a bill killer!

America generates 1014TW per annum. This generation is made up of modular power plant that are perculiar to regions i.e coal, hydro, nuclear, gas & steam turbines, solar and winds. All these plants transmits and distribute the generated electricity within the localities but calculates the electricity generated on a national grid. This system made them achieve near 100% transmission and distribution of generated electricity.

Localized Independent power plants (IPPs) will solve the problem of power transmission and distribution in the country and result to more efficient power sector.
Make una try exercise patience to dey read contents nah
The mention of national grid by suswan was based on what was currently obtainable in the electricity sector!
However with the bill passed into law,the IPPs will be a reality because they will be licensed to generate, transmit and distribute power supply!

Power generated should be transmitted to the national grid? The problem with our power sector is not generation but distribution so how will that work? Why not allow those generating little megawatts to distribute to their locality? Nigeria and bottle neck, these guys always look for ways to make life difficult for entrepreneurs.

You got it all wrong. Go back and read the beginning of the paragraph you quoted, it starts with "What is obtainable...." .
This means what is currently obtainable where power generators send to the national grid would stop when the law becomes effective.

I can also see that several people after you followed your step in misinterpreting the statement. Please put a P.S. and modify your comment. This is how fake news start.

Nigerian politicians with their Greek gift. Why should you generate power and still have to connect it to the national grid?
This policy will still end up frustrating private players that enters the power industry.
Bro please read the statements before the highlighted...Suswan was referring to the current system of electricity transfer through the national grid!

Lol... Listen to Atiku Abubakar if you haven't, Peter Obi was just feeding you with unfounded statistics.

Power generation and Transmission is something PDP started since OBJ era...the reforms was continued with completion of 9 Power generating stations by Jonathan...The next aspect is focus on Transmission...which is stalled by now and that explains collapse of lower grid.

We are generating ..but the transmission lines do not have the capacity to transmit the power generated. The government need to focus on this aspect.
Based on the bill that has been passed,we no longer need that
According to the bill that has been passed,States will be bestowed with that mandate and responsibility or they sensibly give out licenses to individuals or power companies to generate, transmit and distribute power supply!
The old or current era of power supply through the national grid is not sustainable and can not provide adequate and constant power to everyone!
Whether a former or aspiring government started it is no longer an issue.....the issue has been resolved by the senate and every state will be free to solve their own power problem on their own without relying on the national grid!
