Too hasty from the owners! This same coach promoted the team to the EPL and after a hard fought win against Aston villa, they faced arguably three of the top clubs....they should have stood by the manager! I guess he was sacked because of his utterances about his team's ability to compete in the EPL |
During the ASUU strike, the FG through the president initially set up a committee headed by Dr. Jibrin Shagari to renegotiate with ASUU on the 2009 agreement about the revitalization and funding of the dilapidated universities....When the recommendations were presented to the presidency,it was outrightly rejected and another committee was set up headed by Nimi Briggs.....His recommendations was also thrown out by the president! Now how is that the fault of ASUU? If you are not satisfied with the committee report, why not meet ASUU to renegotiate directly instead of going to the press to accuse the union of being stubborn and unwilling to call off the strike? |
Zonefree:There is no constitutional right available for ASUU to make their demands! Strike remains the only option to them to push their demands! Zonefree:This is why there is a clamour for the NA to make a bill that mandates its members to ensure its wards attend the university here in Nigeria....However,that bill was predictably thrown out....The only solution is for citizens/electorates to vote in leaders whose kids are schooling in Nigeria and mandate that such leaders draft out a bill to force all public holders to make their kids school in Nigeria! Zonefree:As laudable as such plan would look like, the union doesn't have such power or authority to shutdown the NA! One of the reasons why this strike keeps lingering is because successive administrations have failed to solve the issues that have bedeviled the tertiary institutions! How can a president set up two committees that met ASUU for renegotiation only to refuse to implement the recommendations from those committees? |
According to Melissa Reddy... "Nicolo Barella is contracted to Inter until 2026 and would cost 'silly money' while Frenkie de Jong ideally doesn't want to leave Barcelona, his contractual dispute drags on, and his wage bracket is out of bounds." Liverpool continue their search for a midfielder goes on as the transfer window closes on Thursday. |
Liverpool want Konrad Laimer but he is not the only one According to Fabrizio Romano: “Konrad Laimer is one of the players Liverpool are exploring but he is not the only one, there are many options. My personal opinion is that Konrad Laimer would be perfect for Liverpool. They really need that kind of player with a lot of energy.” Romano was talking to Wettfreunde. |
alekside:U don see am nah The way they speak would make you wonder if they are rival fans masquerading as LFC fans! |
AnfieldFan:Any info about Frankie de jong and Ruben neves? Any hope that LFC would snap any of them? |
Exxxgeee:Like I said before you have been ignored! |
Exxxgeee:lol....you are wasting your precious time if you think I will engage you! Calling out my moniker a 100 times would never make me engage you in a meaningless and unnecessary back and forth! You will surely be ignored! |
Demigod22:True! |
EIeyigidigan:my bad |
EIeyigidigan:Painment say my team win 9-0? You sure say U sabi wetin U dey yarn? |
BigDawsNet:Plans are already in place to get one or two midfielders before the transfer window shuts down Seems Teilemans from leicester city wants the move to LFC there is also Frankie de jong and Ruben Neves |
Calenikan:We know...why is it paining you nah is it your goals? ![]() |

Lumig:AcMilan played in the group stage last season |
When you walk through a stormI stand by the team to pull us out of the situation we are in.... I believe our legendary manager jurgen klopp to make us better despite the challenges we are facing... That's all that matters! Any other postulation from doomsday analysts masquerading as fans or yarns & shading from uncharitable quarters is inconsequential and does not deserve a response! YNWA |
NaijaRoyalty:Recently or 25 years ago? |
AZControversial:This is what we keep hearing every season but they get kicked out from the UCL by compact teams! The reason for the large scoreline in Germany is simply because there are little or no challengers in the Bundesliga aside Bayern leverkusen and Borrussia Dortmund... U should also know that Klopp knows how to handle Bundesliga clubs esp Bayern Munich.... |
A timely reminder that EPL is not ya mate...lol Any club way misbehave or underrate any team go end up like chelsea |
AZControversial:That nah glorified farmers league nah Them score pass like that last season...Villarreal way LFC beat home and away send them parking from last season UCL quarterfinals Bundesliga way punters dey carry cash out u wan use compare EPL...smh |
FoolaniHellman:His economic policies put Nigeria in this mess
|
mikuz:Like i said you are entitled to your opinions! I believe the league can never be decided with 2 games however you think otherwise...different strokes for different folks...why not wait till may 2023 to see if your predictions are true before casting asperations on a club you claim to support! mikuz:True...A better instance is manunited and Bayern Munich ManU won their first 4 preseason games which included the 4-0 defeat of LFC Today, they have lost 2 games conceding 6 goals and scored one against average EPL teams......Bayern Munich lost to mancity but have won their first 2 games against Europa champs Frankfurt and wolfsburg! Does that in anyway imply that their results in the opening 2 games will predict where they will stand come may 2023...? Absolutely not! mikuz:Thats what a true fan does unfortunately he is not a YNWA fan...They are optimistic to the end! Thats what makes an LFC fan different from others....We are not like other fans who boo or mock their teams when they are not performing well.....We rise to the occasion and cheer the team to the end win or draw or lose... Thats why we were able to defeat Barca at anfield despite such challenge being regarded a pipe dream for your likes then! As for the purchase of new players,we are not like others who get players we do not need...LFC goes for players that can fit into the pattern of the manager! Even if we do not get the players needed,we will still support the team nonetheless! mikuz:There is a difference between constructive criticism and pessimism with a huge drop of mockery....Know the difference! Everyone knows fully well that players will come and go but the club will always remain! Despite being fond of Mane, that will never diminish my support for LFC! Like i suggested, there are better clubs that should fit your profile to stan or support! |
LiveWithIt:Which party does the minister of education Adamu Adamu belong to? |
mikuz:My bad about the mix up...I meant losing a game which was against Tottenham and they were also not top for over 6-7 weeks until Chelsea started falling apart towards the end of the year 2021! Maybe Jodera's subtle support for a club he doesn't even rep made me mix up records...thanks for the correction! My point is simple and unambiguous! It will be insensitive and preposterous to gauge the progress or standings of a team by their first 5 games just the same way you cannot predict that the positions at the top 5 will be the same come may 2023! Do not forget that a league is a marathon and not a sprint! Interestingly,Jodera understood the point I was making far more than an acclaimed fan of LFC! E b things.... Secondly,I have said this severally that if you don't like LFC or what you see, please carry yourself to man city or any other club and stay there or better still follow your hero mane to Bayern Munich(just an advise).... Where they have so far scored six plus goals with a 100% win in 2 matches.....The real intent of the originator of this thread if I not mistaken was created for constructive criticism and hopeful optimism not an unapologetic pessimism and subtle mockery of LFC! It was made to speak more of positives, repping and recommendations of LFC! Despite mancity's inability to win an European trophy, none of the fans have been critical of their team in their thread except the fans are lily-livered or fake! Lastly,I really do not care about your pessimism towards our progress this season because I still have my doubt whether you are actually an LFC fan because you can't tell me the exist of mane will automatically make you an LFC mocker! However, your stance on LFC is your opinion and you are entitled to it! |
Jodera:Guyman the only thing i can say to U is i wish you were an LFC fan no cap! Infact you even hype and believe LFC pass some fans way dey masquerade themselves as fans only when the club dey win thats if they are actually LFC fans because i seriously have my doubts! True fans stand by their club, players and manager even when they are down.....In LFC case we are yet to lose ohh! At times, some folks are poor students of soccer history forgetting that the EPL is a marathon and not a sprint! Mancity opened last season with 2 losses after 3 games and yet they won the league last season Chelsea were top of the table last season from the start for 8-9 weeks until they crumbled like pack of cards by January and only managed to hang on to the 3rd spot solely due to the inconsistencies of the teams below them.... Any LFC fan may have their opinion about the current performance of the team but i do know one thing.....Liverpool will definitely bounce back this season......#YNWA |
