This same coach promoted the team to the EPL and after a hard fought win against Aston villa,they faced arguably three of the top clubs....they should have stood by the manager!
I guess he was sacked because of his utterances about his team's ability to compete in the EPL

During the ASUU strike,the FG through the president initially set up a committee headed by Dr. Jibrin Shagari to renegotiate with ASUU on the 2009 agreement about the revitalization and funding of the dilapidated universities....When the recommendations were presented to the presidency,it was outrightly rejected and another committee was set up headed by Nimi Briggs.....His recommendations was also thrown out by the president!
Now how is that the fault of ASUU?
If you are not satisfied with the committee report,why not meet ASUU to renegotiate directly instead of going to the press to accuse the union of being stubborn and unwilling to call off the strike?

There is no constitutional right available for ASUU to make their demands!
Strike remains the only option to them to push their demands!

Most of our politician children don't school in Nigeria. They don't even care about us. Na average people dey suffer for this strike not government. Buhari no send anybody papa.

This is why there is a clamour for the NA to make a bill that mandates its members to ensure its wards attend the university here in Nigeria....However,that bill was predictably thrown out....The only solution is for citizens/electorates to vote in leaders whose kids are schooling in Nigeria and mandate that such leaders draft out a bill to force all public holders to make their kids school in Nigeria!

ASUU should go and lock National Assembly complex instead of locking schools for average Nigerians. They've been going on strike for decades yet nothing is happening. It's only a fool that will be doing same thing every time and expect different result.

As laudable as such plan would look like,the union doesn't have such power or authority to shutdown the NA!
One of the reasons why this strike keeps lingering is because successive administrations have failed to solve the issues that have bedeviled the tertiary institutions!
How can a president set up two committees that met ASUU for renegotiation only to refuse to implement the recommendations from those committees?

Losing to Tottenham 1 0 and beating Norwich 5 0 is not the same as playing out draws against Fulham & Crystal Palace. That been said, we couldn't win the league last season we were firing from all cylinders from the get go, is it this season that we are dropping points against Fulham and Crystal Palace in our first two matches coupled with injuries here and there that we ll win the league? How can you look at this team and have unrealistic expectations and be optimistic that we ll clinch the title?

Like i said you are entitled to your opinions!
I believe the league can never be decided with 2 games however you think otherwise...different strokes for different folks...why not wait till may 2023 to see if your predictions are true before casting asperations on a club you claim to support!

ManU won their first 4 preseason games which included the 4-0 defeat of LFC
Today,they have lost 2 games conceding 6 goals and scored one against average EPL teams......Bayern Munich lost to mancity but have won their first 2 games against Europa champs Frankfurt and wolfsburg!
Does that in anyway imply that their results in the opening 2 games will predict where they will stand come may 2023...? Absolutely not!

I wonder what you see in this team that is giving you and Jodera confidence that we are going to mount a title challenge. Injuries apart and the fact that we are yet to buy any notable reinforcement in midfield, any good analyst can see that we can't mount a decent title challenge this season all things being equal.

Thats what a true fan does unfortunately he is not a YNWA fan...They are optimistic to the end!
Thats what makes an LFC fan different from others....We are not like other fans who boo or mock their teams when they are not performing well.....We rise to the occasion and cheer the team to the end win or draw or lose...
Thats why we were able to defeat Barca at anfield despite such challenge being regarded a pipe dream for your likes then!
As for the purchase of new players,we are not like others who get players we do not need...LFC goes for players that can fit into the pattern of the manager!
Even if we do not get the players needed,we will still support the team nonetheless!

How did they open last season with 2 losses after 3 games? After 3 matches they were on 6 points with 9 goals difference.

Even if we beat Man Utd 8 0 will still won't equal their feat after 3 games.

My bad about the mix up...I meant losing a game which was against Tottenham and they were also not top for over 6-7 weeks until Chelsea started falling apart towards the end of the year 2021!
Maybe Jodera's subtle support for a club he doesn't even rep made me mix up records...thanks for the correction!

My point is simple and unambiguous!
It will be insensitive and preposterous to gauge the progress or standings of a team by their first 5 games just the same way you cannot predict that the positions at the top 5 will be the same come may 2023!
Do not forget that a league is a marathon and not a sprint!

Secondly,I have said this severally that if you don't like LFC or what you see,please carry yourself to man city or any other club and stay there or better still follow your hero mane to Bayern Munich(just an advise).... Where they have so far scored six plus goals with a 100% win in 2 matches.....The real intent of the originator of this thread if I not mistaken was created for constructive criticism and hopeful optimism not an unapologetic pessimism and subtle mockery of LFC!
It was made to speak more of positives,repping and recommendations of LFC!
Despite mancity's inability to win an European trophy,none of the fans have been critical of their team in their thread except the fans are lily-livered or fake!
