CapitalCee: They may not win South Africa may be because they are not just good enough. Zimbabwe and SouthAfrica is almost the same. Nearly 40% of Zimbabwe nationals are living in SA. If Southafrica relax, Zimbabwe will win them and nothing will happen. They tried to move it but it couldn’t Zimbabwe is yet to win a single match from the 8 matches played so far in the qualifiers. Every other team in our group has recorded at least one win against them, except the Super Eagles. I don't see them causing any upset against South Africa. The only hope if via the playoffs. |

CapitalCee: It only enhance it but not completely. Lesotho is 5 points ahead of Zimbabwe. So if Zimbabwe wins their next game against SA, and we beat Lesotho. That gap will reduce to just 2 points. And the last match is Zimbabwe vs Lesotho a win for Zimbabwe puts Lesotho bottom. Although if the above Scenario occurs it will put us ahead of SA.
So Zimbabwe wins SA, brings us firmly in control of our own fate, and infact make us the favourites to qualify automatically. But any other result for Zimbabwe against SA puts our automatic qualification in jeopardy but brightens our runner up chances, assuming FIFA/CAF adopts that method of ranking. Zimbabwe cannot defeat Bafana Bafana in a match that will be played in South Africa, it’s the same hope we had with Lesotho until they were defeated 3 nill If Zimbabwe were serious and desperate for a win, they would have moved the match to another country. |

DomPerignon: Why do ibo people hate this project ?
Because it is a literal direct bridge between SS and SW and they see this project opening coastal communities to development. The hate to see those prime lands being developed and occupied by the indigenes because the see those lands and the entire SS as their future reservation in their deluded Biafra project..
This is why only them and them only are bitterly complaining about this project.
With this road , someone travelling to Cross River from Lagos will totally avoid the SE and for good measure.
Eve someone travelling by road from Abuja to PH will simply drive to Benin, connect via the coastal artery road and be in PH in no time sound and safe. It ain't really about the project but about Tinubu. Any project or action that could make the President popular is what they complain about and condemn. The two failed presidential candidates will be pained now, but they cannot openly condemn the Edo inclusion |

comodo: Norway and Colombia are already on 4 points. And I don't see Norway not getting at least a draw against this Saudi team. Therefore the only route is scraping a win. Anyhow From the 6 groups, they will still pick 4 best losers from 4 groups out of the 6. Mathematically, Saudi may even still progress. |

It was an entertaining match no doubt. Arierhi missed few chances but remained a constant threat in attack. Immediately after he was substituted, the attack collapsed. Saudi were unfortunate, hitting the post twice. I think a draw against Colombia should be enough to push them through to the next round, knockout |

lordm: Tinubu doing all he can to secure Oyo state like he did in 2023 Everything is not about politics. They are friends and were both Governors at the same time. During his speech, the king referred to him as a friend and a brother and also said Ibadan is a second home to Tinubu because he married Remi in Ibadan. When Obasanjo unlawfully removed him as governor, it was Tinubu who arranged a legal team for him to reclaim his seat from Akala, and Fashola was part of that team. |

Based on my understanding of this report, the marketers want to sell at their depots at the same price Dangote is selling at his gantry in order to attract patronage. So, they are asking Dangote for a discount. Dangote cannot be selling at 820 (for example), and they also buy from him at 820 and resell at the same price even after adding logistics costs, nobody would patronize them, only Dangote (Producer) where it is cheaper. The difference (discount) they are asking/negotiating for is what this report is calling a subsidy |

But I think Uche should and will get strong game time in Europe. Palace features in the Uefa Conference League. First league phase game on October 2. He should be able to get 10 starts, irrespective of the games he will miss during AFCON |

ScoreNigeria reported that Enyimba winger Clinton Jephta, Bidemi Amole, and Divine Oliseh, who featured at last year’s U20 AFCON WAFU B qualifiers in Togo have been dropped. 10 players from the U20 AFCON squad have been retained, with addition of Daniel Daga. It was also reported that 10 new players made the final squad.
I am hoping Ezenwata is among the new players. |
