Mujtahida: Home based players no be am. The earlier we recognize this the better. Even as far back as 94 Westerhof's team was made up 100% or almost of foreign players. Granted that these players started from our local league but our local league had quality and also international football was not like today's game.
Today the league has tanked in quality and the gap between players groomed at home and international football is like an abyss.
The point I'm making is that we should drop all these confusing calls for inclusion of local players in the Super Eagles.
Let us focus on improving the league, improving football education, training, coaching and management. Good local players are not in the league (NPFL), they are in the academies.. |

marlow1962: Nawa o, when no be today them begin win.
Is this the how this family made lagos? This win is different because a record was broken and a new one set. No country had ever won the competition 5 times consecutively until now. Senegal previously won it 4 times in a row, a record D'Tigress equaled in 2023, and has now surpassed, with 29 matches undefeated in Afrobasket since 2015 These same players were previously treated badly after working hard to qualify for the FIBA World Cup, but the past administration stopped them from participating due to the leadership tussle between the Sports Ministry and the Basketball Federation. They deserved to be celebrated and rewarded |

robosky02: Good we are winning But if we must remain relevant in the long run
We must start developing the game from the grass root Let's start 1.scouting for school girls 2. Develop academies to groom them 3. Invest in infrastructures playing Court and pitches 4. Expose the local lads by taking them to international tournament 5. Make or basketball and women football league professional
These and some other fees stuff can make us become the bench mark for both women Basketball and football in Africa Agreed. Most of the participants actually used foreign born players, so it ain't just about Nigeria. I want the team to be selected based on merit, not by allocating slots between foreign based and local based players. That approach is not sustainable, aforesaid, since it started with D'Tigers, the team regressed. |

robosky02: Honestly Nigeria is doing good
But
We must build our team from home All the players basketball and football are speaking like Americans
We must start building our Women football and basketball league to develop young talents back home to take over from this once
Let's dominant Africa completely They are Nigerians and eligible. You go to war with your best soldiers..Since D'Tigers started using home based players, what have they achieved? They regressed rather, that was a team that once defeated USA. |

Inter is also being stingy. lol. Not sure why they have a challenge paying €50M for a player of Lookman's calibre especially considering the low wage request. Very greedy. They bought him €10m but refused to sell for €43m. Even Retegui was acquired from Genoa at €20m but sold to Saudi at €68m. I predicted earlier that it will it will be difficult for Lookman to leave, they can't afford to sell their best 2 strikers while they are competing in Champions league. |

BankyGee: Galatasaray produces a set of Osimhen's customized kit box, independent of Puma, named the "Solo il Gala" kit box, which means "Only Gala" - a phrase Victor Osimhen himself coined after letting several clubs know he's only interested in playing for Galatasaray.
The kit will go for 9,999.99 TL (Turkish Lira), which converts to N376,522.98 in Nigerian currency. The kit box contains:
1 Osimhen's jersey (black and gold) 1 "Solo il Gala" headband (black and gold) 1 Osimhen's mask
The fans are also trending the hashtag "#SoloilGalaDay" and have dedicated the 31st of July of every year to celebrate the day in honour of Victor Osimhen... 🦁👑🇳🇬 According to report, Galasatary earned €431,000 from the live broadcast on YouTube of the striker’s arrival in Istanbul and they already printed 100,000 Osimhen's jersey. They are targeting €5m in merchandise and ticket sales tomorrow when they play Lazio. Ticket prices have been increased |

According to a report on Gianluca Di Marzio‘s website, Eletu is ‘surprisingly staying at Milan’. The Nigerian midfielder, born in 2005, had his contract expire last month, but the club believe in him and has reached an agreement with the player over a new deal.
Eletu’s new contract will last two years and will have an option for a third. He will work with Massimo Oddo’s Milan Futuro team in the coming months to regain, after an injury-plagued season, the form he enjoyed two years ago.

Kog45: $100k that's whopping over 150 millions or abi na mistake The Super Eagles, despite not winning AFCON, received national honors, a flat, and a plot of land each in Abuja, that’s massive (considering the price of land in Abuja). So, it couldn’t have been a mistake. Even the Governors’ forum gave each Falcons player 10 million naira, totaling 240 million naira for 24 players. That made me believe the 150 million naira from the President cannot be for the entire team. |

Factcheck0001: Many people supporting obj today, if u know half of what obj did like seriously u will never like him.
Obj empowered a thug to remove a sitting governor of oyo state simply because he opposed obj third term ambition!!!
Imagine the day a governor was to b impeached, thugs went to the house of assembly n chased away lawmakers n a thug who couldn't string words together came n said in useless English
"Ladoja is remove, he's no governor again"
I can't forget that line but today people want us to see same man as hero amidst his other crimes.
We are all complaining our politicians are collecting too much money today, it was this same obj that tripped their pay then so as to support him for 3rd term
As if that wasn't enough, he changed their official cars of Peugeot 306 to Prado n now all of them are used to it.
Till now nobody can pin point who killed a whole attorney general of the federation (Bola ige) under obj. The same impunity was used to remove Fayose and he later declared state of emergency in Ekiti. Till today, Fayose still insults him. |
