Mikel Obi: John Shittu Rubbishes $50,000 Bribe Claim By Siasia John Ola Shittu, former agent of Nigerian football icon John Mikel Obi, has responded to the bribery allegations made by ex-Dream Team coach Samson Siasia. Speaking recently on Elegbete TV’s YouTube channel, Siasia claimed that Mikel, through his agent Shittu, offered him a $50,000 bribe to secure a spot at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, an offer he claimed to have rejected. Reacting to the allegations during an interview with Cable News on Wednesday, Shittu dismissed the claims outright, describing them as baseless. “I’m one of the most respected agents in the game; I don’t associate myself with damaged, inconsequential people,” Shittu stated. “For me, this is a forgotten issue,” he concluded https://bsnsports.com.ng/post/Mikel-Obi--John-Shittu-Rubbishes--50-000-Bribe-Claim-By-Siasia |

fergie001: I like the fact he is pressuring the coalition so as to get better bargain.
Having a bargaining chip is quite good but let's be honest, we know he can't win any Primary that has the likes of Atiku, El-Rufai, Amaechi and co.
Quite frankly, Obi as Presidential Candidate with or without the coalition will not give Tinubu the needed headache he truly deserves. The fact that PDP and even LP will still be on the ballot is a big win for APC. |

Lithiumite: Dreamers!! without your govs.....never seen a more deluded bunch of elders all my life Wike finally drive atiku out of pdp,now is the best time for obi to move over to pdp, yesterday's meeting had Wike written all over it and atiku got the message,Wike controls all the structures now.....obi should move to pdp as it would give him what labour couldn't. Obi won't get the PDP Presidential ticket while Wike still there. A united PDP struggled to win election, now they split into two, they think they can win? APC will make sure PDP candidate comes from the North, easy win for Tinubu. |

charlesemeka85: and u believe this story? Dem no born any indigenous coach to turn down a bribe of 50,000 usd And the alleged bribe ain't from an undeserving, poor player, but from a top talent everyone was clamouring for to see in the team then. |

lovewins: Those close to Samson Siasia should tell him this campaign of calumny on Mikel Obi is needless and quite frankly beneath him. First, in clarifying whether or not Mikel payed for their flight to Rio, he accused Mikel of being broke,.hence his need to peddle the story, even though in the same breathe he acknowledged Mikel paid for things like their hotel accomodation etc.
Now, the accusation is Mikel intentionally skipping the Olympic qualifiers and then trying to bribe his way into the team through his agent in 2008. It's obvious they aren't in good terms with each other but this is unnecessary. He even said Mikel was a bench warmer then which was untrue. |

Philosopher1979: De laurentis himself is stubborn. What has osimhen done that they cannot forgive him. That is what is stunning Mr. If he goes on loan, they will be paying him gorgeous not playing for them. Why not just sell him at an affordable price and forget it. De laurentis wants to prove a point that us not worth it Actually Osimhen is not too expensive for £64M. Hopefully they both find a solution and resolve. |

CONTRACT ENDS TODAY Victor Osimhen’s loan spell at Galatasaray ends today, June 30. The star forward is now obligated to join Napoli’s preseason camp. STRIKING STATEMENTS Osimhen, who has not yet made a final decision, will cost Napoli a gross weekly salary of 193,000 euros. Italian outlet Il Mattino published a remarkable piece on the Nigerian forward: “They thought the Nigerian player would be in a hurry to say goodbye to Napoli. But this is shameful, because everyone was sure a solution would have already been found. But that’s not the case. Osimhen is a problem. A serious problem. And no one has yet considered the possibility that the Nigerian striker may not find a solution before the training camp begins on July 17.” OSIMHEN’S STRATEGY “Wait until the end of August. By then, no one in the world will pay the 75 million eurosrelease clause, and everyone will think De Laurentiis will be forced to compromise with the club Osimhen may have already agreed with. Yes, that could be the striker’s strategy. He knows nobody at Napoli wants to see him anymore, and he can just keep saying ‘no’ like he has so far. This way, he could force Napoli to offload him at a lower fee. To whom? To a club that doesn’t want to pay the full release clause, in any case.” https://www.fanatik.com.tr/en/nba-free-agency-2025-seven-underrated-players-ready-to-impact-2586700 |

Mattswaggz: Make dem mistakingly replace him with someone who isn't a heavyweight in the North and watch coalition get even more stronger.... that's it they really intend to change him though. The Coalition cannot get stronger. When ACN, ANPP, CPC,and a faction of APGA merged, they formed APC. But this time, the coalition is adopting existing party, the ADC, which means, PDP and LP will still field their own presidential candidates for the election. Votes will be splited and it will benefit APC.. |

Politicstoday: have you watch his live video he did on Akala's daughter going to court over Akala estate properties. Hamzat is a legend. If not him in 2018/2019 Oyo state politics, Seyi Makinde won't have win the governorship election in Oyo State. Agidigbo was greatly used to front gsm in the media scene. Hamzat have huge followers base in all the 33 lg in Oyo State. Ajimobi really dealt with him, and he worked against APC,there was no Agidigbo in 2018, maybe in 2023 election, where he used the radio station to defame APC candidate, Teslim Folarin. Akinyefa had to resign from the radio station because of his bias and unprofessional attitude towards APC candidates. It is a big win for Oyo APC if he is on ballot, he will divide PDP votes |

lovewins: Not sure when her process began, but I'm pretty sure she can of she started the process early enough. Remember that Annette Echikunwoke had transferred allegiance from US to Nigeria in 2020 in hope of representing Nigeria in the 2021 Olympics. The AFN at the time messed up her testing schedule (including Favour Ofili and 8 others) which prevented them from participating in that Olympics. She immediately began the process of changing back her allegiance to the US and was able to represente the US at the 2024 Olympics and won a medal. Ezinne Abba is another example who transferred allegiance to Nigeria from the US but they messed up her testing schedule and she couldn't participate in the world championship of 2022. She has since changed allegiance back to the US and have been representing them since. So I think Favour can start representing turkey once the process is complete. I am trying hard to remember the name of an Athlete that switched and AFN sabotage the process and he was unable to represent the new country. |

All her training grants will be covered, she'll have access to the best training facilities . Can she start representing the new country immediately, or does she still have to wait for a period of time? I think there is a new rule for athletes switching countries. |
