kagari: Never knew pregnancy makes fair people dark now, love NairalaNd, we learn everyday Body reacts differently to pregnancy. While some women look extremely beautiful during pregnancy, some will look over ugly. While some will be strong and healthy all through (like my sister), some will become so sick that to pour water on their body will become a difficult thing to do. |

gnykelly: THE IBO HEREDITARY SYSTEM
what is the worth of a woman : in ibo tradition, an unmarried woman has no right in her fathers property. not even a say.
even when married and she never give birth to a male child she will not be allowed to inherit her husband property.
the female gender is seen as an object of satisfaction and if she doesn't meet up she is thrown out with contempt.
at their marriage the female gender is seen as a commodity that need to be sold her value tally with the things that the family had spent on her. if she had a degree education her bride price is of higher value. than those without education.
in the Ibo culture when a man cheat it is easily overlooked. but the case of a woman will invoke the curse of god and eternal damnation.
I see this things first hand during my service in the eastern part of the country.
I am of the feeling that the Ibo tribe need reorientation on civil ways of taking care of the child and not to see her as just an object because it is affecting the self-steem of an average ibo lady. Same thing I told my igbo friend. Anytime I look at the girl,,I always pity her. They really need to stop that property of a thing, it makes the girl child look worthless. |

Evaberry: very few men are victims of domestic violence. Women always bear the brunt of a man's anger
No matter what a woman says or does, a man should never hit her, a man is physically stronger than a woman so hitting her will inflict serious physical damage, whereas a woman may not cause any real harm to a man.
Op the husband in your write Up should have quietly left the compound and go relax somewhere until he was sure his wife had calmed down. when a woman is angry she throws all reason and caution to the wind, it therefore falls on the man to be understanding and reasonable
Engaging in a fisticuffs with a woman is wrong and should be condemned. Be like sey sun no comot for ur area today, na why ur solar brain no gree charge be that. Mtheeeeeeewwwwww |

When you printed your call_letter, you chatted me on WhatsApp to know where I was posted. Then you told me it was Anambra you got posted to. I can remember how scared you were when I told you killing of snake is forbidden in Anambra, I laughed cause I succeeded in scaring you. And that was the last time we had any form of communication. I am happy we got talking, even though it was a bit late. But my earlier view of you was completely different, I'm glad I had the chance to change it. You were beautiful, morally decent, you had what it take to brag, but you never did. Adieu my friend! |

peckhamboi: Hello guys,
I am looking for the title of an old Yoruba song
I think it was sang by Chief Ebenezer Obey.
"Kini be n'igbo, tin dun mahuru, mahuru?, mahuru T'oba fe pani je, ko kuku pani je Bi o si pani je, ko ma she dun mahuru, mahuru mo o!"
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sang by King sunny Ade rather. Don't know the title. Try 'Omo ode' |

NwaAmaikpe:

Wow, So D'Banj writes like Lanre Gentry?
Well, the truth may hurt or sound harsh, but it doesn't stop it from being the truth.
D'Banj of DKM/DB records can never be the D'Banj of MoHits Records?
He should borrow a leaf from Obiwon and register in a Pastoral school. He will excel more as he is charismatic.(you can't take that from him).
Can't he follow the steps of other failed artistes. He could also be a presenter like Teju BabyFace, a backup studio voicer like Djinee or a video vixen like B-Red
If he is wise, he should be licking the feet of the real El Chapo (Don Jazzy) if he must ever be musically relevant. I guess that is what you do in your family, lick feet and buttocks. You should be ashamed of your lineage dog. |

And also about the views on YouTube ,I was one of the first few people to view that video on YouTube and also one of those who purchased the album.I am a big fan of Dbanj's music and everyday I check the views on YouTube. It has been on the No 1 spot since Saturday and you say it won't get 900k in 4days. ?? Olamide's song "Wo" grossed a million views in 1 week.If you are used to watching videos on YouTube ,you will know that trending videos get more views than normal videos.
Please answer my previous question. Thanks. No hate. Not only on this thread, but on previous thread about dbanj. The guy always sounds pained and negative. He's such a foolish hater. |

He will keep running from pillar to post but no success.
From Mohits to Koko Mansion to Good Music to Slot to CREAM to Priority records.
All ventures yielding no results. All his songs since he left DonJazzy are flops and write-offs.
He reminds me of Majek Fashek when I remember how hard he fell from grace...if he is wise, he should beg Don Jazzy to sign him to Mavins if his music career must progress! If this ain't a success to you, then you must be a chronic fool. |

Does his father gym his head? The muscles on it look like he works out a lot.
D'Banj's dad will be so ashamed of having a son like him who fell from grace and has never recovered. D'Banj is less than a shadow of himself in the MoHits days. He can't even sing a meaningful song and his new album is pure crap.
I honestly look back at DBanj and wish he could just swallow his pride and beg Don Jazzy to help him back on his feet. This dude is dying in silence... And the blanket covering his star is very thick.
D'Banj without DonJazzy is like Barca without Messi. Completely helpless. Drop this rubbish, it's becoming stale. He fells from grace to grass yet you jump on every thread his name is mentioned just to score cheap likes with hate comments as if your life depends on it. Ewu |

onuwaje: the reason why i place 50/50 is that most of the cultural practices may sound Yoruba but they have huge Benin influence. tho i am not a traditional practitioner. but what i know is this
1. Ogiame is a Benin word (King of waters) 2. Ediaken is a Benin word but we the Itsekiris call it Daniken.
like i have always said. Itsekiris are a tribe of hybrid Origin some were formed by Benin others by Yoruba which merged so nt every one is entirely yoruba when it comes to cultural practice. Bini itself has Yoruba influence. They worship Okun (whom was the first wife of oduduwa that was later deified, a common practise in the Yoruba land, I.e osun, oba, osa, oya, are all women deified by naming a river or stream or ocean after each of them). I think they also worship esu, who also was a Yoruba man back then. I stand to be corrected. |

Ereolamide: Bro, I meant they're proto-Yoruba/Igala or whatever label they now go by, the various tribes probably splited from a common source, for instancd the ugbo people(a Yoruba sub group of ondo state) have stories of origin that almost predates ile-ife/oduduwa claim, anyways let's agree to disagree. This is why I don't really regard oduduwa as the primogenitor of the Yoruba race. According to some history, ugbo (or any town that starts with igbo in yoruba) and was founded by Obatala when he was angry at the fact that oduduwa was crowned over some elders, the likes of him, obaluaye and so on. He left ile ife with his pple and founded ugbo. I think that submission is from Prof Odia Ofeimun |
